Sort of disappointed that Shy Guys are still stage hazards. I've always wanted one as a playable Yoshi character. But I never really expected it either.

I hope Yoshi does get a new character, preferably Kamek.

Personally, I'm not sure if even Toad should be there yet.
But he's certainly the closest to being offically "deconfirmed." Nobody else has been...the subject...of a pic like this.

It's like Sakurai is giving the middle finger of sorts to Toad supporters and saying "I'm not making him playable again. Get the picture. You're getting Rosalina instead."

Alright, so for Bowser Junior, it was mainly split. However, the results pulled through and revealed that he is NOT disconfirmed because of Rosalina. Because of this, in the next poll (whenever I make it), I shall add a "chances decreased, but not disconfirmed" option to figure out the true fate of Bowser Junior.

Waluigi, like his competition Bowser Junior, was also believed to have been "disconfirmed" by Rosalina & Luma's reveal. However, thanks to all of your votes, the popular choice is...WALUIGI TIME! Shocker. So, because of this, I will re-vote Waluigi in the next poll as well, without a Waluigi Time answer and a decreased chance option, to ensure I find the popular opinion for sure. But, for now, Waluigi escapes the grasp of Dampe's shovel.

Sadly, Toad does not share the same fate as Waluigi or Bowser Junior. Because of his role as Peach's meat shield, many have lost faith in a playable Toad (whether it be blue, red or a captain) and have voted him down as already disconfirmed, with EXACTLY 100 votes. So, Toad shall move from the Morgue into the Graveyard alongside Skull Kid, Balloon Fighter, Starfy and Shy Guy. Hope to see you next time, lil' buddy.

The likeliest of the bunch now? Although more people voted him disconfirmed than Waluigi, nearly 3/4 of you stated that Paper Mario was not affected by Rosalina in the slightest, because he is his own series. I made this one clear enough to officially say that Paper Mario NARROWLY escaped the Graveyard. Ha ha ha ha ha!

This was an obvious answer in retrospect. Many people have noticed the similarities between the Mii and the Animal Crossing Villager (customization, the generic default shares many similarities like clothing color and hair type, the use of items Miis can use as well such as the Balloon Fighter helmet and sports equipment). So, to settle this rather small argument, I asked whether or not Villager affected Mii's chances. The answer was a loud "NO!". So, the Mii continues on as expected, without any foreseeable future in the Graveyard yet.

Another obvious answer. The Villager uses the Balloon Fighter helmet in reference to the emulated version of Balloon Fight available in the original Animal Crossing, correct? So, some people have assumed that, when Villager uses the boxing gloves, it is a reference to Punch-Out!! as it is also available within the game. Like Mii, it was obvious that the consensus would be "NO." In fact, a majority of you were confused by this question. A silly thought, the peaceful Animal Crossing Villager being able to eradicate the chances of the world's greatest boxer, nonetheless one who's faced Kid Dynamite Mike Tython and won! With his ears intact!

I haven't played Uprising, so don't kill me if I get a few facts wrong. In fact, a lot of you haven't played Uprising. My parents think it'll mess up my eyesight, even though I'm in high school, but what's your excuse? Go! Go to your GameStop, or your Wal-Mart, or your Toys R Us! Get Uprising! It looks amazing! Anyway, sad to say, Viridi seems like a no hoper either. Ironically, Ridley shared the same "tease", being mentioned in a Miiverse post about a new stage, yet everyone denies a disconfirmation from him! The results revealed Viridi will move to the normal Graveyard now, as she does have a bit of a following (kudos to those of you who don't think of this god in a child's body as "eye candy", it took me forever to find a non-perverted picture of her!)

So, here's the moment you've all been waiting for! There are many breeds of Nintendog, like that of Toad and Shy Guy, so it's only decent to see how this compares to them. Looks like we have a group of hardcore gamers here! Besides the fact that a lot of you were reconsidering life when you read the question, Nintendog failed to stun you, and will be moved to the Graveyard, leaving the Morgue empty for the moment. Except for Sheik, but there's a backlash over that as well.

Look, I honestly don't see the point of putting Viridi in the graveyard over something like text that has no context. Especially when the same thing happen to Ridley except he got off scot free. It should either be about what gameplay we know, or if it is text, then Sakurai would have to say they aren't playable.

The thing is, looking through this thread, it's starting to look less like a place where we respect the dead and more about a place where we can decide who are losers and then point and laugh at them.

The entire set up of your poll also seems likely to be taken advantage of as more a popularity contest rather a actually serious poll where we use facts to decide if someone is truly proven dead. Especially with those types of third options (Even if they are funny). You said it yourself, Ridley was saved yet Viridi got the death sentence. Both should've died or both should've lived, they are both in the exact same boat. Especially in the fact we haven't seen any gameplay of either of them since the tease.

Great job on those results.

One thing though....

Can you even call that a character? It doesn't perform any actions. It doesn't move. It doesn't speak. It's literally just a statue of R.O.B. that doesn't take any effect on the fight whatsoever. You would have been able to argue that it's more of a Companion Cube character-type if was at least acknowledged in Brawl in the form of a trophy. Hell, I honestly thought I'd sooner get an argument for Donkey Kong having 75m Donkey Kong in his stage. At least that has a degree of being a character versus being a mere static background detail.

My point was that no character is ever seen in the background when another character is present without a distinction as clear as night and day.

That would be a good point if it wasn't already justified within SSE's story. R.O.B. is an actual species in the world of Smash Bros., with *the* R.O.B. being their leader before they all went kaputz, leaving him as the sole remaining R.O.B. at the end of the game. In other words, left as an individual fighter by the end of the story with no others like it.

Unless you're about to tell me our new Adventure Mode is about to center around Shy Guys, I don't think the same could be applied to them.

I really don't think Sheik should be in the morgue.

Again, Brawl had Zelda revealed months before Sheik was. There is literally zero indication against this being the same. Hell, the fact that we have TP Zelda once again rather proves the whole Sheik-is-out point moot, since the main reason any of us thought Sheik won't be a part of Zelda's moveset is because of how there is no Sheik design in Skyward Sword.

We didn't all forget that, did we?

Yeah, shiek doesn't fit in here. As a part of the past two games, sakurai wouldn't just get rid of her like that. And other than the fact that they haven't shown the transformation, there's nothing to say she's out.

Clearly they're just trying to avoid an accidental reveal. Shiek is supported by the fact that they have zelda in the transform position and that they haven't shown any new moves that would replace down b.
