Surprised they could include Korra in there - figured that Nickelodeon might be trickier to deal with than video game companies. Shame that they didn't (couldn't?) put Optimus Prime, Megatron, or other Transformers in there, though.

Still, this is definitely my new wallpaper!
It's kind of like fan art, so I doubt Nickelodeon would care. They might even approve because it's basically free advertisement. Joe Madureira is known as an artist for DC, Battle Chasers, a comic he wrote and drew, and Darksiders, a game he was the artist for. Check out his drawing of Link and Tidus and Yuna.


There's a mix of US superhero style with Japanese manga and it's really cool.


Also, CreatureBox, two guys, Dave Guertin and Greg Baldwin, known for the art of Ratchet & Clank. This one's by Dave. Probably my favorite artists.

Ok, so in science class, we were talking about the moon and lunar eclipse. And Umbra. Legit, I barely payed attention in class as soon as they mentioned Umbra because our glorious umbra witch is coming tommorow :D

I think she will have a Ryu level learning curve rather then a Mario if that would sound better.
I think she will be like Sheik and Zero Suit Samus on the learning curve, with Ryu you have to know the orginal street fighter inputs lol.

Umbra is just the Latin word for shade/shadow.

That's where we get words like umbrella from.

I'm sure it has another meaning in astronomy/science, though.

Fun fact: For those who don't know! An Umbra is the fully shaded inner region of a shadow cast by an opaque object, especially the area on the earth or moon experiencing the total phase of an eclipse. And a Lumen is the SI unit, used to measure the total quantity of visible light emitted by a source.

I honestly can't wait until tomorrow. I've wanted Bayonetta to be in this game for so long and tomorrow is the release date. Man, it just feels unreal. I'll definitely be grinding this character for quite awhile. This is like a dream come true for me.

That's really only 4 inputs (3 if you never use true Tatsumaki) though and it's not the reason why Ryu is hard to learn. Ryu is difficult because he has a heavy emphasis on a combo oriented punish game so you need to be on point with strings to use him ot full effectiveness. Bayonetta apears to play off that very similar archtype though tomarrow we will know for sure.

I was thinking exactly a week before Fates. So the 10th-12th.

Fates/Bayo2 re-release come out on the 19th.

That's a bit more than 7.
But you speculated they would come out the 10th-12th cause you deducted a week from Fates offical release date.

Depending on how early the hitbox comes out, Witch Twist OOS could actually be used as a combo starter, so you could turn the tables on your opponent. However, iirc its range is bad, so they'd have to horribly misspace something on your shield for you to get anything off of it.

but UpB lets you move after useage so it shouldnt be that hard to punish as you can attack/air dodge later

but maybe "Jump" and DownB could be a good OoS?

So from what it sounds like from Nairo's impressions, Bat Within works almost exactly how it works in her games - if you press the dodge button just before you get hit, you'll trigger Bat Within instead.

I'm assuming she'll land in Europe in the same timeframe that we get our Splatoon updates, so around 4am most likely

So from what it sounds like from Nairo's impressions, Bat Within works almost exactly how it works in her games - if you press the dodge button just before you get hit, you'll trigger Bat Within instead.
That's very cool.
However, I bet to compensate her rolls are worse.

In the air in 60fps I counted frame 4 like boost kick grounded looked like it took 2 more frames to start (might have been from dash skid idk)and I saw some invicibility I think. But tomorrow will confirm or not so take that as you may.

Edit: will screen shot the Invincibility here.

Rewatched so Bayonetta had just respawned so no invicibility this around 1:34 in FFA footage. Bayo dashes then up B so still can't tell if grounded is frame 4 or not but

Hit starts in air twist at frame 4 so grounded may or may not have diffrent frame data will test tomorrow.

In the 30 fps video I did for frame data it connected on frame 2. Somewhere around frame 4-5 for Witch Twist is a safe guesstimate.

Edit:
A bunch of the 30 fps frame data I did in December. Just double the frame numbers for 60 fps (not perfect but gives a very close estimate until tomorrow.)
Bullet Climax:
First active hit box is on frame 8
FAF ???

Heel Slide: (Ground)
first active hit box is on frame 8. (has a different start up animation on the ground where Bayonetta moves back slightly)
Combo hit starts on frame 30 and first active hit box is on frame 32.
FAF is around frame 35 without combo
FAF frame 52 with combo

Afterburner Kick: (Air)
first active hit box is on frame 4. (loses the ground start up animation)
FAF frame 21
This move is much faster in the air compared to the grounded version but it covers less distance and gives up the combo hit.

Witch Twist:
first active hit box is on frame 2
FAF is frame 15. Literally 0 lag on this move. Amazing OoS option and probably one of our best combo starters.

F- smash:
First active hit box is on frame 15. Slow as barnacles.
FAF ???

U- smash:
First active hit box is on frame 9
FAF ???

D- smash:
100% has a hitbox on Bayonetta's foot like @BJN39 said. Rip Little Mac's toes.

I don't have the video, but someone posted what Nairo actually SAID in a thread
He said it during his stream tonight a few hours ago.

Here's what I've written down as notes (wasn't there since the beginning so I missed some stuff; also things in "quotes" aren't exact quotes, just what he basically said):

upB is pretty weak (doesn't KO at 80-90 at the top with ~100 rage)

can't use the "down" option from sideB for a "jabreset"

tilts are pretty decent

downB is pretty good

usmash "I don't want to say garbage" (hard to hit)

fsmash good
- didn't see a hitbox while charging

dsmash pretty good (one side, the other not too great?)

aerials pretty good
-uair can kill pretty early
-bair is also pretty strong

sh autocancel: bair, fair, nair

decent damage output

grabs: no combo throws (MAYBE dthrow to RAR bair on heavies at very low %)

2nd jump doesn't go too high (probably dies if spiked)

"potentially better than robin, but not better than ike (first impression)"

bullet arts (after attacks if you hold button) are funny/interesting but not too useful and often don't even hit

witchtime doesn't remove the hitbox from attacks = smashes could clank during witchtime

[still best counter in the game]
got hit by witchtime at 40 %, were slowed down for like 6 seconds and got killed by fsmash.
fsmash to dsmash combo like in the trailer can actually work for real (not too hard to setup too)

bat within = rolling & airdodge & spotdodging
(is mostly a good thing but can be a bad thing because you get damage) [never got it to work with downB, so it's just her getting 'hit' while dodging?]

can wall cling


"bayonetta probably better than kamui-
all in all both bayo and kamui are good characters"

didn't notice any changes to ryu, zss, rosa, sheik or zelda


***clock tower: has a walkoff and 2 platforms below at some times ("can definitely see as a counterpick" [background stuff could be distracting; for FD at least its only a short time with the sun])

DLC characters won't be put to their respective franchises on the character select screen :(

Because Bayo is Queen she owns the blastzone.

Edit: Side note even if its not a good Oos option I think it will be a great combo break/escape since you can attack afterwards. We basically have a free jump without wasting double jump.

Not really. In the games, bat within triggers when you press the dodge button the very moment you get hit.

In smash bros, it's explicitly stated that bat within reduces damage, which means you have to have gotten hit with something.

Nairo says he couldn't get BW to activate from a down b, but in the direct we could see her triggering it from Mewtwo's fmash after using down b, and getting WT.

Hitting shield the moment you get hit in Smash causes a powershield. Now if only we could get Melee-style reflects to reference Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa...
