No one mentions that Olimar's ship that is his final smash is also an item.

This too is a good point. It's not quite as relevant as the Screw Attack or Launch Star since Olimar can't call upon its effects at will, but it still shows that just because something heavily associated with a certain character appears as an item does not mean it can't also appear in their moveset. No one mentions that Olimar's ship that is his final smash is also an item.
Or: Something I've been meaning to draw for ages but have never gotten around to for some reason.Imagine Lip dual wielding Lip's Sticks
Well, when you're done with it, feel free to post it here. The more movesets the merrier!Actually kinda funny that topic came up, I'm currently trying to come up with a moveset myself, but I've never done it before so it's going pretty slowly. And no, sorry, don't get your hopes up, that doesn't mean I'm going to import her, I'm just trying to think of
one for fun. Just saying so there won't be any misunderstandings.
They probably redesigned the Home-Run Bat in Sm4sh because it had the same color scheme as Ness' Baseball Bat... plus it was probably of the assets used when they were making Ness in 64. The Lipstick will just make it easier to make the character because the model exists just like how they used the Flying Man model for the Mii Outfit. If Lippy is ever in the same Smash game as the Lip's Stick item, that would be a very easy way to distinguish them--having Lip's version closed most of the time (and maybe be a bit more detailed), while the item is always open.
I would not, considering it's just her wand and not the character herself.Would you consider her item being represented in Melee, Brawl and Sm4sh as higher representative than an assist trophy since there's a lot of characters that can be summoned.
Meteos is third party though, and I don't think he fits with other third party characters but the game was involved with Sakurai in some way so it is possible it can be an exception. This game does have some relation to Panel de Pon's puzzle system, the mentioned that Puzzle Games has not evolved since that game.I would not, considering it's just her wand and not the character herself.
I think the fact that a lot of potential retro characters (particularly those from the NES/Famicom era) have been consigned to Assist Trophies or lack any real moveset potential, combined with the little potentially-good-things we've picked up along the way like the redesigned flower and the lack of the aforementioned item anywhere so far, means good things for Lip. But this is coming from the same guy who was legitimately worried over a fake leak of Geolyte from Meteos, so...
I'm really hoping she is the Japanese pandering character we getAs an Echo Fighter, Daisy isn't hurting anyone's chances. It'd surprise me if she didn't have at least a few flowering attacks, but I don't see her posing kind of threat to Lip at all since the two characters are entirely unique, besides having vaguely similar designs and personalities. The purpose of echo fighters is as last-minute additions to pad the roster. If Lip is in Smash Ultimate, she would have been decided on long before Daisy crossed anyone's mind.
Yeah, that Geolyte leak had me going for a while. It was really tough to discredit it, but some other guys noticed some inconsistencies in the hud and that battlefield image matched 1:1 to the one used in promonional sites.I would not, considering it's just her wand and not the character herself.

Well, we'll all keep our fingers crossed, but our expectations low. Don't be like me when SSB4's roster was revealed.I'm really hoping she is the Japanese pandering character we get
I don't think he said he was a fan of hers particularly, more like he acknowledges that Panel de Pon is a great game when asked to include more female characters, which if you remember, Brawl and Melee barely had any. He asks if people even remember her at all.I do believe Sakurai is on record somewhere stating he's a fan of hers; he only wishes she had more presence in todays modern games ( don't we all? xD)
That credits theme? After the F-Zero medley revealed today, I legit want a vocal remix of Panel de Pon music. Maybe the credits theme?
Ah... I see. That's still good news to me. He's like one of the few game devs out there that still acknowledge her existence and stuffsI don't think he said he was a fan of hers particularly, more like he acknowledges that Panel de Pon is a great game when asked to include more female characters, which if you remember, Brawl and Melee barely had any. However, the interview you're referring to was from like 2002. That was ages ago, and Smash 4 did include a lot more female fighters.

If you've seen Meteos, a puzzle game that Sakurai designed, it's obvious he puts Panel de Pon in high regard. That game is a pretty out there spiritual succesor to PdP's mechanics. It starts by making the slide vertical, and goes nuts.I don't think he said he was a fan of hers particularly, more like he acknowledges that Panel de Pon is a great game when asked to include more female characters, which if you remember, Brawl and Melee barely had any. Any of the ending themes could make for a pretty sweet remix, really. That credits theme?
If it got vocals... my God, it'd be beautiful.
You mean like the entirety of the Mario RPGs which were also done completely by her? She's very much capable of making upbeat songs and not just dramatic orchestrations:I like the light-hearted music of PDP and would rather keep it of similar calibur for that potential game idea. It would be weird to hear dramatic orchestrations of Lip's theme tbh.
Lip is behind a background of Tetris blocks...
Well, this is gonna be a my new avatar now.
Beat me to it. I liked this one, the last two were... weird.I like the comic
New part of that Lip series by the person who made the other 3 parts where she crosses over with other Smash Bros. Fighters.
It's panels. I checked, and none of the colored blocks in the background are in Tetromino (sp?) shapes.Lip is behind a background of Tetris blocks...
