The only part I don't like is the pyramid. It's a bit repetitive.

Eh. The pyramid wasn't that bad for me. Though I hated going up those steps for every room. It takes so long.

I kinda got lucky wandering around and just happened to pass by someone talking to me. I LOLed really hard when I found out he had a gold tooth because of recent non-game related incidents.

Worst part for me was Nightmare, the Mani Mani statue. It took me SO long to figure out that I could wear out his PP and I had nothing to use against him. I just kept dying and dying and dying. Fortunately I found a way to get around the second two serpent thingies in the water near him without having to fight them.

I lucked out on that boss. I lost to him several times, but during one attempt, He gave me mortal damage, and my HP was running down fast. I kept on Bashing him, and when the fight ended my HP was down to 4! a second longer and I wouldve had to try again. I really like the rolling health meter in Earthbound, its a unique feature.

I loved earthbound, I actually beat it last week on my emulator. I need to play it again without cheats, I got all the way to the dessert and then well I got lazy and had Infinite health and go through walls cheat. All I had to do was hit auto fight and put turbo on, bosses defeated in minutes. I loved the humor and enemies. Also that had to be the most strange final boss. *You cant perceive gigas's attack*. The praying at the end being you was a cool ending as well. Also gigas is the only boss in the world of gaming that can beat someone with infinite health,I actually died when he insta KO'ed me, that's a situation where rolling health works against you.

I never really have any tough parts anymore, considering how many times I have beaten the game. I just remember first time the toughest part was easily the end when you have no idea what to do. Once I figured it out the game seems easy.

I also think EB is better then M3, I like EB's music, battle system and overall storyline more then M3. Though both are amazing games. M1 is also pretty fun, not as good as the other 2 though.

I think out of all the games, Mother 1 is the most deep...

Well Chrono Trigger is pretty cool too....

Either way Earthbound is up there on my list of my favorite RPGs. Great game with a nice sense of humor.

The final battle and Giygas lair...that was kind of creepy.

I definatly agree. While the series cant stand up to Pokemon, I think that Earthbound is greater than any other RPG. I just wish there were more games in the franchise and more in America!

I LOVE the Mother series, I finished all of them it's been a while now and just loved it, I still play it today, Earthbound is definitely in my top 5 games of all time. What were the best maps in the game for you guys? Mines either Magicant, Moonside or Fourside.

Saturn Valley was AWESOME! The music and characters were hilarious. Moonside was definatly really cool too. Magicant is probably my favorite though.

I just tried the Mother 3 translation, I read some people saying it's bad, but so far it seems like the typical earthbound storytelling. Lucas' Mom is a cutie, if only I was 2-d.

EarthBound has been my favorite game for years, but I must admit that I did hate it when I first played it, thus tossing it away. Months later I tried the game again, and I was thinking "Why didn't I give this a chance before?" I never regretted picking this game up again.

Mother 3 was really deep in the storyline and it broke out of the traditional look and feel that the characters had in the last two games (The whole boy, girl, nerd, guy with sword thing they had goin' on.) But that's what I liked about it. It was something new and fresh. I just didn't like the idea of keeping Boney. It just seemed out of place, lol.

Exactly what I used him for. He only had one weapon and it wasn't even that good to begin with.

I agree that Flint would've been a better choice.

We need a Mother Complete Collection game for the DS.
It would have M1 and M2 with enhanced graphics,and M3.
It would include a Soundtrack,a Mr Saturn plushie and a Strategy Guide for all the games.
It would cost about 150 bucks.

I played Mother and it seems really interesting. I love Giygas in Mother more than in Earthbound.

I dont think Earthbound was that easy. There were some parts that were challenging to figure out, and the entire department store part was REALLY difficult. Ness's Nightmare was also a pain to defeat. I will agree that Giygas was really easy, I was expecting an epic fight, but it was really just a ten minute battle where you had to heal every once in a while.
