summer '10 swf japan trip?
That would depend... which area in Japan? And if we have at least one person to traslate most of the language. Also more people to find that play's Puyo Puyo 7. =3

Yeah, I just started to properly learn Japanese this semester.
I just have a bunch of other random knowledge prior because of JRPGs and stuff.

At least you people have lessons ;_;

I've been trying to self-teach myself ever since I moved from Japan but homework and school get in the way, and there's no Japanese class in the district... Might have to wait until college.

All I remember from elementary classes in Japan are hiragana, katakana, some kanji, playing go, and some card game with hanafuda, jan-ken-pon, and some really crappy word games, lol.

Oh, and the story of Momotarou, I think I have a statue of him around in a display case somewhere, lol.

School really gets on my nerves when I think about these things, xD

GG needs to hurry up and sub now that Bakemonogatari 13's out.
And while they're at it, finish up Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Don't go picking up another series without finishing this one up.

if you're going to go to japan...try to do it closer to fall or spring

it's crazy humid there during the summer, it really takes a lot of the fun out of it.

It was raining when I went there during the summer as a little kid.
I guess I lucked out since it wasn't too hot.

Strangle Winter over there feels like Fall in most areas. I never went to Japan in Spring or Fall I wouldn't know.

I love Spring there. Honestly, I think its the best season of the year. Get to see some festivals and cherry blossoms <3

I'm pretty much a late-winter/spring/early summer person, in Japan, at least.

I'd probably say the same, but definitely celebrating new years is the best, even better than hanami (which is probably a lot of fun too) <3

Booking plane tickets already? If people do decide to do this, you should plan on possible places to stay, first. But yeah, it's a must to fly together on that 10+ hour plane ride.

Also, I prefer hanami (cherry blossom viewing) over new years (I've experienced new years plenty, but never been to see Japan's famous cherry blossoms) but I would like to make a suggestion: let's go in August and attend 8 different o-bon festivals! :chuckle:

If I was filthy rich and had no school (the latter is not as necessary), I would pay for everyone here to come to Japan in early February. Let's hope I win the lottery before then... ;)

I only go to Anime North every year. I've been going for 6 years woot! Although I would like to go to more. I'm thinking I might start going to the ones in Michigan too.
