Yeah, that's kind of why I stopped as well.I read up to where episode 1 ended. As I read it, I realized that the manga doesn't go into much detail. KyoAni's adaptation adds more detail (and more comedy) to the story, making it more interesting. Reading the manga would just spoil the main events for when I watch the anime, IMO. I'll still read each part after the anime shows it, though.
