I've seen the first episode, wasn't terribly impressed, but not bored either. About a million characters being "introduced" (or rather shown on screen) was pretty much to be expected, but I didn't feel like there was anything that would've required having seen the card game to be understood (not that I expect the plot to be complex enough to do that... :D)
The show also made me realize how normal anime can make anything seem... it doesn't feel crazy at all, but when you think about it, the premise of having a show about "girls that are actually ships waterskating and shooting arrows that turn into fighting jets" is pretty wacky :D

Another thought is maybe that I just don't know Japanese military history so I don't get their battleship jokes.

enjoyable in its own way but the students (aside from the mc, the badass guy and the ojou) arent very distinctive in the manga

If you got gender and number wrong, yeah, I did. It felt like a really enjoyable mixture of Yozakura Quartet and Kyousougiga to me (:
I wasn't too convinced by the first Death Parade episode, but I think that the show sure has potential, and hope for the best.

It's nice being able to watch Durarara weekly again. A lot of this is just a refresher since I read ahead way way back because of no season 2 announcements. The art's so nice too. Hope they keep it up.

I'll watch Assassination Classroom tomorrow/today when I get the time.

While I am watching Saekano, I am looking forward to more shows (mostly sequels) next season. Saekano is entertaining though, but the MC sometimes frustrates me with how controlling he is with main girl.

I actually wanted to post again during the time since the last post, but I didn't want to double post. Now that the thread is seemingly alive again, I can now say that I'm enjoying Kancolle more than I expected. Kongou is the best ship! And by best, I mean by most entertaining for me.
