The only thing I LOVE about this game is the color choice for the suit being displayed on the screen. The blue looks very "BAM!" and cool.

And that reloading alien weapon, but wasn't that one in HL? The rest looks horrible, I don't even want to discuss the aim being all over the place.

Get a load of this...found it on IGN, in a blog by Mark Bozon.

Not much to say on this, other than it is pretty funny.
Ohh GOD :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Even IGN is starting to make fun at the people at Ubi**** and other shovelware devs

I wasn't dissapointed about 16 player online, as much as I like playing massive 64 player games in CoD4 PC, playing 8v8 is fun and less hectic. I was more upset about the lack of splitscreen. That was one of the few things Red Steel had going for it. I'm really hoping that RS2 is going to have a lot of problems fixed, if they do that and he Conduit would be nice shooters on the Wii.

Looks like something I would rather rent and be disappointed by as opposed to buy it, be disappointed and only get like 10 dollars trade in value. Thanks red steel for scarring me. Hope RS2 fixes all the glitchyawkwardness of the tech demo that it really was

Sensitivity had nothing to do with the way the aiming was behaving.

I still find it hilarious, "Counduit: Nintendo's answer to Halo?"

You haven't felt the controls, the way they are making it, they say, is designed to be very smooth, slick, and polished.
and anyway, 99% of FPS games on the Wii have better controls than 100% of FPS on the xbox360 or PS3, probably cause they are more precise, and more like the real life thing called shooting stuff.

I find it also funny that your status is "Halo sniper"

Hmm if IGN says it controls better than Metroid Prime 3 and Medal Of Honor Heroes 2 then we have a winner.

You haven't played it either. You are going by a website who is notably biased.

As for FPSes, I had no probably controlling an FPS on PS3, and I never played one on Wii. The best FPS system is still the PC. There is nothing that can even compare to the amount of control, customization, and precision of a mouse and keyboard. I have horrible carpal tunnel syndrome that requires surgery soon, and my hands cannot remain still for very long. On PC, I have no problem aiming or shooting. On Wii, it's hit or miss.

Medal of Honor Heroes 2 was a crapshoot.

The controls were miraculously mediocre.

And I'm not just brushing it off, I played with everyone from the group here like Lonejedi, dragmire, stryks, jonbebonanza. Sure I put up with it, but it was because it was the only online shooter for the wii, and I had not yet purchased my xbox 360. It was like they dumbed down the Red Steel controls.

Well i though the controls for MoH2 were good. They executed perfectly what they were meant to do. That is simulate yourself in the war field enviorment by pumping to reload a shotgun, throwing the wii mote over your shoulder to fire an M1 (bazooka), throw grenades etc. That was done flawlessly IMO. The fact that you could customize your target box thing was good, that way you could turn at your expected leisure. And those controls fit good with MoH2, for the Conduit However, I see them having a more limited customization option, if any.

And the only time i would really find holding your hand steady for a while was if you were sniping, sometimes i go for like 2-3 minutes without moving and then... BOOM HEADSHOT.

I find it funny that you say FPS's on the are hit or miss, yet you say that you've never played one on the Wii. Contradictory statement.

That whole "reading" thing is a novel concept. I said aiming and shooting, and there are plenty games where you aim and shoot.

Lol to be honest when i was playing Medal Of Honor Heroes 2 I used gloves  made my hands alot more steady than usual.
My friend has the problem of unsteady hands too, mine, they are as steady as a stallion(whatever).

By mediocre, did you mean immersive and realistic?

I've playd FPS games on all systems, for the record. The Wii controls can feel VERY loose unless you change it up so that the controls only move when you want them to. With the Conduit, this should be doable because they're going to let you edit all that up.

Once i calibrated the controls for Medal OF Honor Heroes 2 I was laughing Manically when i got my Hands on a MP40  . The controls almost perfect. If the Conduits beats Metroid Prime 3 controls then i will be very happy

I'll concede the fact that it may have been partly hardware related to me, but it seems like more often than not, the controller interaction would go from clean to erratic very easily, while Metroid Prime 3 never gave me an ounce of difficulty.

They said they are going to build on the customization options of MoHH2, and they are also drawing from the Brawl customization.

Oooh I hope we can collect stickers! : D
Maybe not stickers... but some sort of item hoarding really increases the longevity of a game for me. I remember playing Phantasy Star Online for many many hours at a time for no reason other than a completely useless new item that I thought was cool.

I was not so much a fan of stickers/trophies because even stickers didn't really affect my gameplay at all, as I played to 100% and then never played SSE again. It jsut wasn't as big of a customization to me because I only play multiplayer. If there was something there, that would be cool. I guess like how halo has different armors/helmets/unlockables. even if purely aesthetic, i think that was a cool feature of halo 3.

Maybe Metroid Armor like what they did with Hayabusa armor. If Nintendo helped them at all they could put a Varia/Power Suit Helmet or a Galactic Federation Helmet.

Huh?

Hmm if IGN says it controls better than Metroid Prime 3 and Medal Of Honor Heroes 2 then we have a winner.
A winner in what? The video I saw had one of the most horrible aiming scenes I've ever seen. I'm just going by what I SAW. You haven't played it, and neither have I.

There was nothing precise about that video, the guy kept trying to aim ahead of the cursor. I'm sure you've seen it..

All right, enough of this bull****. Stop talking about stuff that is not listed. All we have is a video. There is no pictures or videos of customization, so don't talk about that until we have more, and there is no pictures or videos of collectables, so stop talking about that.

Seriously, you know nothing about this game other than a tech demo. Give it time, stop posting just because you feel like it (JohntheGalatic and Darkslash) or I will close this thread down.

All we have is not just videos, there are also interviews.

Actually, in several interviews the HVS staff talks about the customization.
An interview with a HVS staff member.
http://wii.ign.com/articles/887/887708p1.html

Eric Nofsinger: Yes, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 was a source of inspiration, but we believe we've taken things even a step further. In MoHH2, you were able to adjust things like dead zone size, player turning speed and cursor sensitivity via a paused menu. In The Conduit, you can adjust these and other options in real time. That means you don't have to go back and forth to get the feel of your changes; you see them instantly and can tell if your adjustments are working for you. We are also taking some inspiration from Smash Bros. Brawl and will be allowing players to customize their control layouts. Don't like using the B button to shoot? Map it to the button you prefer. Like to use a certain Wii-Remote motion for something? You will be able to map to those too.

That whole "reading" thing is a novel concept.
Then try reading.
And you spelled Galactic wrong.
Interviews usually tell me more about the game than videos anyway, maybe I just like the whole reading thing, some of the interviews are pretty good too.

When you actually post something worth while, I'll bother learning your name.

And reading is different from spelling. Nice try.

Also, I was referring to the endless conversations of what color the weapons will be and if you can get a special model of sunglasses. Control customization is hardly what I think of when I hear customization.

1st of all, thats what she said.

2nd, by reading, I meant read the interviews, which exist, although you decided they did not.

3rd, why didn't you say that(Control customization is hardly what I think of when I hear customization) in the first place?

Also, you have spelled my name correctly before, so don't act like you don't know it.

You haven't posted anything worthwhile at all in the conduit thread.

There will be no less than 30 conduits(or some huge number).

So they're already thinking of sequels? Most developers do this, so it comes as no surprise. I hope this means they've got an interesting story that convinces me to buy sequels.

It's a little early to be thinking of sequels. They've got six months until the first game comes out, so a lot could change by then.

And CK...

I don't mind that you're being weary of this game, but it feels a bit like you're coming into this thread to try to bring everybody else down rather than try to support our speculation. I agree that talking about costume cusotmization was a bit... strange... but threatining to close a thread about the game when they were still talking about the game is a little much.

Anyway, there's one thing that I've been curious about with this game. How destructible will the environment be? From a previous screen posted in this thread, there was a shattered window, but that could be like that by default. Maybe an alien jumped out of it.

I'm hoping that they'll make plenty of things destructible, but withing reason. I want to be able to bust the cap off of a fire hydrant and shatter a few windows.
