If I baited you at all midscreen then I'm sorry for that. I'm used to, whenever punishing someone in the corner after getting a successful combo off, having them burst on me.
Nah, it wasn't you. It's just a pet peeve of mine in general since I see some people do it.
I want to see you Burst Bait by activating BK. It's the best feeling lol.

Honestly I rarely bait bursts unless I have a really strong feeling they will. BK or Platinum's 236A are good to avoid bursts.
Then there's Hakumen where I swear 80 percent of his combo is burst safe...

Well, I try to think on what the opponent would expect me to do and at what point in the combo they'd normally burst at and stop just short of that. I hardly think that it should be done all the time, but I'm pretty sure there's a time and place for it. I admittedly get more paranoid about cat chair than bursts though.

I love cat chair. Bait it once and I've got a free fatal. Got 50 heat? That's probably the round if I trigger Blood Kain and don't screw up.

...

And then I lose all of that in CP. /sadface

Izayoi apparently has 11k health and a 90% combo rate.

And here's a sparing mode video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ycU-FQ2LSg

Looks fun, also looks like it will take me a little while to get used to her moveset. She looks fairly different from anything I've really played before other than her teleports, which do look similar to Chipp's.

22P moves Chipp forward a little.
22K moves Chipp forward a lot.
22S moves Chipp backwards.
22H tracks the opponent and moves Chipp in front of them and leaves him in the air.
22D same as 22H but behind the opponent.
None can be done in the air.

214A moves Izayoi nowhere.
214B moves Izayoi forward.
214C moves Izayoi backward. (At least, I believe those are B and C, they could be the other way around)
214D tracks the opponent and leaves her behind them, can be done in the air. Costs two stocks when used in neutral, one stock when following up an attack.

It's not exactly the same, but there are some similarities, enough to get me hyped. It will be fun to have those teleports plus a mode change that will give me I-no's dash.

I hope you realize you aren't supposed to mash on wake up like every time lol. It's in general bad to mash on wake up even if your jab is godlike.
Ofc, but you know how it is when you're playing online and itching for a hitconfirm

I was hard baiting jdietz's burst since he bursted like 5 times prior at the same exact spot then he just stopped bursting for some reason =/.

Same with livewire since he loves the panic bursts sometimes.
It's all about the mind games. (also I started to feel like a jerk for not having any good subs to play with and forcing you to fight between Minato and Arakune every match so I started to burst less :<)

EDIT: That... sounds way worse than what my intention was though, I hope you don't take that the wrong way, you were playing good overall. I just know I get super frustrated when I come back to a game rusty and everyone just takes turns dumping on you for just making one mistake. And as Arakune it's just: Oh I guess he missed because he's been gone... I guess I'll just take the round and I started to feel like a bully or something for taking advantage.

That reminds me of my matches with Raziek though. He'd burst every time I got a 5C FC, but every time I was like "But this will be the time he doesn't! So I'll keep going because mind-games! ......Nope he bursted... because what person in their right mind would let a 100% curse opener just go... I'm incredibly stupid :("

I still have one more final.

I've been doing the irresponsible thing instead by playing Devil Survivor 2, I guess preparing for the anime is more important than studying...

Luckily I have till Sunday for that final, I think I may try to play a few games of BB tonight.

I guess you can call wake up 5A/3C learning. lol
;.;

(and I think you're thinking of some other move than 3C, unless you've seen me teleport my globby little body half a screen and sit squelched on the ground on wakeup)

In more enlightening news I just realized I should PROBABLY be canceling my dives into 5D like in my combos instead of just going "aha! You got hit by that... ok." (yes, I know. I'm stupid for having never put the obvious together, but that's why I play with you guys sometimes: to stop being an idiot)

EDIT: Oh wait... but half the time people are in the air when they get hit by that hmm... learning is hard

PS: I only do quick wakeup into 2A because it works like: every time you just charge at me when I'm grounded...

PPS: PLATINUM Y U TOO SKINNY FOR NORMAL 5C FATAL COUNTER COMBO LAST HIT TIMING :(

Oh, 2C was probably what I was thinking of.

GGs, don't mind me. I'm a scrub on timing my meaties after knockdown in this game. :(

GGs Minato and Rutger.

Minato, any tips on Arakune vs Rachel? (Beyond learning how far cat chair reaches/not dashing into it after gaining curse). I feel like my offense as Arakune is lacking in that matchup and it's giving Rachel the edge.

GGs.

I was remembering CS1 in that lobby, oh Tsubaki. :(

Kind of trying to play like it's Guilty Gear too, that was a train wreck.

And Arakune is still the worst thing to ever fight against, can't wait for Izayoi's teleports.

Rachel beats Arakune in the matchup, so it's not surprising. I'm not an Arakune expert, so I don't know anything specific to help. :(
Just block as much as you can since a good Rachel player can capitalize off of air CHs better than I can.

Also learn stronger combos that lead into curse faster. Just watch Souji play for the cheap stuff. lol

Edit: Oh, and me Cat Chairing during your curse is actually a bad idea and too much of a bad gamble.
Cat Chair sucks in Extend. Later guard point time, and I don't get 6k off of it.

THE BEES MAN, THE BEES. OH GOD THE BEES.

Arakune mirrors are probably the most awkward fights ever second only to Rachel vs. Mu fights where just no one feels like a winner.

@Minato: KK, I'll look up his vids and see if anything amazing jumps out at me combo-wise (I'm already aware of the 100% off 6A, but I fail at executing it online). That and normal 5C combos, I NEVER get the abare for that right. I think I'm going to maybe go into training mode and just look at what 2C's range is as well despite it all, since half the time I'd walk to what I thought was a safe distance to wait for the bugs to hit you and then get hit anyways. It can't really hurt to get more familiar I think.

As for the meaty thing earlier, don't mind me, I just get salty over BB netplay lol.
I'm one of the worst people here on attempting meaties when my opponent is waking up.

For the active people here, Crusayer and Kuraudo do a much better job.

So if I lose to wake up 2A, just keep doing it until I learn.

Tao vs. Tao is a magical match up.

Well, maybe I should know my combos before I play next time, but I probably will not play again until I finish my last final.

It's fine, we all get salty over netplay sometimes be it wakeups or the infamous online grabs.

Also: YES SIR MINATO SIR!

Tao vs. Tao is a magical match up.
You know... I think I've never seen a non-derp Tao vs. Tao o.0
I'm not sure how that's even possible.

I was so sad when I blocked your Gold Burst then didn't tech the purple throw. lol

Also, Rachel mirrors suck. If you both have pumpkin and a frog, whoever gets hit from the pumpkin gets in like a huge disadvantage.

I'm generally good at breaking throws unless my mind is focused on the offensive.

My lobby's done, but someone might've made another. I'm just taking a break for dinner so I'll probably get back on soon.

If someone is making another I think I'll get on, I want to play more before I'm studying all day tomorrow.

If a lobby gets created, just send me an invite, even though I'm offline. If I don't see one, I guess I could create one.

K I'm ready, just priming my Arakune learnin' pump by watching a Souji vid to see what I'm all missing (a lot of course, so much depth to most characters in this game)

EDIT: You can invite me whenever

Lol Rutger, the training party HATES you for some reason

EDIT: Oh good, even Souja doesn't always hit the 5D > IAD > 2.jA link every time. That makes me feel a little better for fudging it up so much. It'd be a lot easier if Arakune actually had an IAD in the regular sense instead of just a tight link...

EDIT2: Did if 4 the lulz, no regrets

Well, my internet has been lol today.

I was just laughing it off for the most part, but when I went to join again my game kind of froze...

The screen is darkened and nothing is moving, but the music is still playing Nevermind, the music didn't loop over.

Guess I need to do a hard reset. :054:

Well GGs everyone, I'm going to check some things on my PS3 but I'm done for today well I guess yesterday for me. :/

Good training with you Rutger and Minato. I got to see what I think I needed to see. (I hope the fact I was just dashing in trying to get a 5A so I could see the range of 5A>2A>5B>5D for 70% of the matches wasn't too irritating XD). Now I just have to go into practice mode and just do it over and over and over and over and over again until I can IAD properly with Arakune after 5D

I LOL'ed. I crossed myself up.
Well, my internet has been lol today.
Have you contacted your ISP? I don't know what more you can do since BB used to be fine for you.

Yeah lol, I was training in the most literal sense of the word. I didn't try to win at all until that very last match. It's nice to just say "I'm just going to practice X and not worry about winning" every once in awhile.

Just went through XBox Live and rolled through most of the people I came across. Why is it that I get better when the game's almost done for with CP coming out. ;;

[EDIT]

On that note? Oh god it's amazing having a second monitor to look at to my left and to fire up the XBox.
