Noel is a silly character.

But she isn't top tier anymore.

So she's bearable. :/

*shrug* She's A-, so that's fine with me. I never felt the need for her to be S+ tier or anything like that, I just wanted her to be around a solid A level of viable, so where she is now is actually the most happy I've been when it comes to her positioning.

It's actually, like, the worst combo ever, haha. Noel can just **** out damage though, so whatev. :D

Man, I can get like 4k in the corner with Noel, no problem. 5k if I get a good starter. Even more if I throw a Fenrir on there.

Noel was still dumb in CS2, just a different kind of dumb.

Haters gonna hate, walk on with my cool shades.

Yeah Noel's damage is still ridiculous...

You must be using some sorely non-optimal combos.

I can't use other characters period. I need to practice with them. lol I think I've gotten good enough with Ragna that I can afford to take a break from him and fight with other chars.

Aren't there better Noel combos than that? I'm pretty sure I even have 4.3(?)k corner combos with Platinum and no meter.
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. I just almost ALWAYS forget to do the Fenrir ender now, so I don't normally get that 5k.

I feel like I'm getting quadruple trolled by Spelt, Minato, arturefo, and Lythi. :urg:

And my main corner combo is: 5A > 6A > 6C(2) > 66C > 4D > d.6C > d.214D > 6C > 236A > 66C > j.D > d.6D > d.5D > d.5C > d.6B > d.236D

I also use: 6B > 6C > 2C > 5C > 3C > 22BBBBBC~66 > 6C(2) > 6C > 4D > d.214D > 6C > 236A > 66C > j.D > d.6D > d.5D > d.5B > d.5C > d.236D

Not to mention that I occasionally have a Throw or 3C starter depending on how it goes along with some other stuff and various 2.5k-3k carry combos (as well as one I was slow developing a bit ago that I've since half-forgotten). Though I almost swear I accidentally RC'd 5B into something once.

haha.im not trying to troll you.

I also use: 6B > 6C > 2C > 5C > 3C > 22BBBBBC~66 > 6C(2) > 6C > 4D > d.214D > 6C > 236A > 66C > j.D > d.6D > d.5D > d.5B > d.5C > d.236D
in that combo you dont need do do 5c after 2c anymore.in that situation,i do that combo.i think it deal more damage.

6b>6c>2c>3c>22bbbbbc~66>6c(2)>6c>4d>d.6c>d.214d~44>6c>5d>d.236d~66>6c>j.d>d.6d>d.5b>d.6b>d.5c>d.236d>fenrir

it will do 6k,i think.

I'm pretty sure you can't do 5D > 236D in the middle of that off of a 6B. Seems like the prorate is too high.

You could do this though: 6B > 6C > 2C > 3C > 22C~66 > 66C > 4D > d.6C > d.214D > 446C(2) > 6C > 236A > 66C > j.D > d.6D > d.5B > d.6B > d.5C > d.236D. You get about 4.4k plus if you add on a Fenrir, should take it over 5k.

Hah, same here. Bang's my man and that's about it.

Do you guys feel like sticking with one character helps learn the game faster, or is it best to experiment with many even if you decide on a main?

Sticking with one is better if you want to learn the game faster. Only change it up if your current character doesn't fit your style.

Sticking with one character doesn't mean to not learn other characters though. Knowing what the other person can do is still very much crucial. Some people just think learning multiple characters help them realize the weaknesses and strengths of the other characters.

Yeah, you can, but the thing is half the time you have to either take a 466C or have it timed perfectly. And man, gettin' salty. 9 pages of combos, and for just craziness I says. :smirk:

I don't think I've ever played less than two characters.

Maybe it's a habit that started back in Melee with Roy/Falco, because I needed someone not terribad every now and then.

The closest has probably been BBEX, but I think I'll be adding Tao and Valk back soon so...

I recommend trying out more than one character once you are comfortable with your main, it's just more fun that way imo.

For some reason I tend to be the guy who only plays one character. I'm virtually worthless with anyone but Falcon in Melee and I'm enough of a beginner in BB that memorizing combos with other characters I feel might throw me off. I do get the mentality of it though (just learning other characters' options in certain situations, improving matchup knowledge), so I'll probably pick some other ones up eventually just for ****s and giggles. I've played some Noel in the past but very little.

Some people ask me if it's boring just playing one character, at least in Melee, but I can't say I've ever felt that way. Mostly whatever character I pick I have plenty of fun with. Plus who the **** doesn't like C. Falcon?

Alright, I need serious help here people. Since I have literally no one in my area who plays BB seriously enough to give me any real practice or advice I'm forced to practice only online and I feel like it does virtually nothing to improve my abilities because I get no feedback other than whether I won or lost (usually the second one). I'm in dire need of an opponent who can play me a bunch of games in a row and give me actual real information about how I can do better with the matchup/in general. Is anyone willing to take me on as an apprentice of sorts? I have a headset so that would make communication faster and easier but it's not necessarily required.

I'm just tired of grinding out combos in training mode for hours only to get curb stomped for not really knowing how to get in and land those combos. Anyone?

You're on 360, right? Most of us play on PS3, but there should be a couple regulars here that might be able to help you out.

Good luck, bro. I would help if I had a 360 copy.
