and yes, the girl next door is a very sexy movie i watched it a few weeks ago and my erection has yet to subside, that part where you could see her *** in the bonus footagfe was quite tasteful and amazing.

I'd be up for some Halo... I'm not the greatest, but I don't think I'm too bad. I might be able to borrow like 2 controllers from a couple of my friends tonight but don't count on me.

Oh yea, and Maciej gave me a good idea... my goal now is to beat everyone with their main. Since I want to beat Joe in a Fox ditto, I might as well beat everyone else in a ditto too.

so which characters do you guys use most?

Im trying to master a character right now but its hard to learn the new melee style, i wish things were back the 64 style, but oh well, right now the best player i have is Ness... so im just gonna stick with him and try and work out some combo's.... but im having MAJOR difficulty creating combos i can do at will. What character is the most Broken that you know of in melee? Also is ness a pretty good character to use against actual people who know how to play well?

To give you a little taste of how bad i am right now, i can usually only beat the computer (level 9) by AT most 2 stock, if the stock is set at 4, and most times i can JUSt beat them in a 4 stock match. I will lose everyonce in a while too, and Zelda is really tough for me to defeat...
I guess i will just have to learn from you guys.

I, myself, use Peach... It all really depends on your style, though. I say it would be awesome for you to learn how to use Ness. Not a lot of people use him, so it would be a nice shock for some people, Nova. And of course Zelda would be difficult. She is for most characters that need to get up close. I'd like to be able to play ya sometime, though. I'm no Ness master, but I can at least try to help you improve with Ness. ^_^

I was out canoeing yesterday and I havent checked the boards all weekend.

has anyone else thought that the computer on level 9 can throw ridiculously well? Or can you guys actually throw people the way they do?

With ness my problems right now seem to be, getting my juggliing down, and finding a move to send people flying. He doesnt seem to have a big power move anymore, the yo yo hardly sends people flying anymore. Also the yo yo can only juggle for a little while, so i have to learn a little control.

Also i refuse to try and learn how to use zelda, because i have a feeling that is the most used melee character.

Hehehehehe, oh man, too good. Well, I guess if you count Sheik, then yes. Zelda, definately no, though.

Zelda alone is barely used at all. Sheik is used to the point of abuse, though. I suggest looking at the Ness topics in the Character Specific area for some good tips on how to use Ness.

Tourney winning capable characters that Mi needs: ICs, Peach, Jigglypuff.

I would pick ICs if you have crazy technical skill, Peach if you have Great mindgames but not super technical skill, and jiggly if you fall somewhere in between. Pick one and play almost only them, and go to the character forum and read everything on here btw. Ill help train you if you pick one of them and make it out fairly often. Ness isnt bad but he is not going to win a decent or above tourney.

justin, i hate to inform u, but i quit. i cant wake up at 5:30am and drive for over an hour and a 1/2 anymore, im gonna end up getting in a car accident cause i keep dosing off behind the wheel. so if u read this in time just call up dan lol, im sure he wont be happy about it, but oh well. sorry.

ok adam, mr marina gets to **** fish everyday. try waking up at 5:30 and driving an hour 1/2 mon-fri, then go to WAM on the weekend, which is more work u dont get paid for, even tho its for 2 more weeks, i would have went crazy because ive only been getting like anywhere from 2-5 hours sleep a night the past 2 months.

Smash Tonight

Tonight is cool with me. I have something I have to go to tonight and its from 5-6:30. I'm not sure if I have to stay the whole time or not though. I'm guessing that I don't so let's hope I'm right.

So basically, tonight at like 7:00 is cool. Adam, if you call me, do so at like 4 otherwise I might not be here.

I think this is the first time I've posted on these boards so......hi.

Anyway, I've been playing Smash since its release but have recently started playing competitively. I don't get a lot of practice against other people around Lansing because it seems that the hot bed for Smash is on the east coast of Michigan. If anyone is interested in playing, let me know. I just recently stopped playing Soul Calibur 2 competitively because it just seemed to die out, so I'm looking for a new challenge.

With that said, I wanted to post a quick synopsis about the VGames tournament that took place here last weekend.

The tournament was to be held at a LAN center called FRAG (www.fragcenter.com) in East Lansing. I showed up about 10 minutes before the tourney was to start, found our vgames rep (really cool guy by the name of Matt), but the FRAG center was not yet open. The tournament was supposed to start at 10:30, but at a quarter to 11 the place still had not opened. Matt attempted to reach the owner and some of the other employees to get the store open for us but didn't have any luck.

Once we realized that no one was showing to open up the store, we went looking for some power outlets outside since Matt had everything we needed in his trailer. We ended up having the tourney in the back alley of the MSU Federal Credit Union.

With that said, it's probably a good thing none of you showed. I don't plan on going to the FRAG center anytime in the future either. Actually, a nice thread started on their website from another person that played. If you read it, you can see how much of a jerk the owner is.

I will be up in Auburn Hills every wed night at 9, so i could swing by OU because it will only be 5 minutes away.. in fact... should i swing by tomorrow night? Nova5883 - Wednesdays aren't really good for me cause I have classes pretty early on Thursday. I'm the only one that lives here at OU and that would be kinda tough for me.

Nova5883 and omokusaki - Keep an eye out for a smashfest at Liptonbuddy's house. He works Monday through Friday so we've been having smashfests on weekends recently. You'll have to see if it's cool with him though. His address should be in the first post if you don't know it already so you can check distance and whatever... Don't use mapquest for directions there though cause they are slightly off.

I'd probably be up for a smashfest on Saturday... Adam, Joel, Nar... maybe you *****es could actually show up this time if we have one. Justin, just say so if you want to have one then.
