No, that's not true at all. That's also why you always see people like Ken, PC Chris, m2k, KDJ, Azen, etc... place high in every tournament they play in. Same for Japanese smashers, you'll always see Masashi and Aniki up there. Bombsoldier making it to the finals with relative ease from the videos I saw, then taking 2 matches from Ken definitely counts for something. Sure it would be better if there were more results to go by, but 1 tournament isn't necessarily bad. We can't say it means anything now since it's so old, but 1 tournament of a very large magnitude counts for something.

Edit: I'll clarify, 2 players can take a match from each other on any given day, true. But that requires that they be at least closely matched in skill level.
