this ride situation sounds confusing...

I just want to make sure: McCain is driving me to SD, and Dave is driving me back home, correct?

I'll give you both $3 gas money but if you want more, I don't mind paying up more.

so be ready at 9:30 basically

edit - the order will be JDM, Anto and Combo, then GSUB. i'll probably get to gsub at like 10:15

you have to buy it, but I just found a torrent + hack for it.

search for it on your favorite torrent site, then you just install it regularly,
then replace the .exe in the program's program files with the hacked .exe

So I'm thinking about hosting another tourney at UCI sometime in May. Feedback?
Have to say this might be the best thing that could happen =)

Also you might expect a bit bigger turnout because the last one went well, so pools will probably be the most time-efficient way to do it.

At what number of people attending should I be forced to run pools? Or should pools be run regardless?

I'm going to start negotiations with the student government/club tomorrow after class, but the date that I'm aiming for is May 22nd since there's nothing planned for that weekend afaik.

You can run pools regardless of attendance.

If there's only 8 people (doubtful), you can just do one big pool of 8 and everyone gets their moneys worth.

If there's only 20 you can do 3 pools of 7/7/6 and top 2 advance to a bracket, top 2 seeds get byes

If there's any more than that it's all good!

Really, pools are more for the players, because brackets take less time unless you have pools of 4 people, which is kind of lame. 5 or 6 people per pool is standard

Curious about what time in May. I might be there for it if it's the last two weeks in May. Will the date conflict with anyone's studying for finals? And, my personal view is similar to Connor's...If you have 32 people, you can do a bracket, but more than that, definitely pools, because a 33+ man bracket tends to get a little large. Plus, you get more play if you have pools. At the same time, it's definitely possible to have what Dave said. Yeah, just wondering on the date. Perhaps I could hype it in Arizona if enough people are interested (so long as it's after the 17th-ish).

He said probably on the 22nd.

I think champ's next triweekly is going to be on the 15th, and grev's on the 29th, so it should be a good day...

Excellent! So long as my sister's wedding doesn't keep me for longer than 5 days, I can make it. I think I'll be out of Arizona by the 13th and then out of Oregon (wedding location) by the 16th or 17th. Any warmup practice on Friday the 21st? Also, I can drive people who are on the way most likely.
