Although we originally had a pyramid system, that will be used for our next huge tournament. It is now a pot, and the winner will get a Wii on top of his cash (or he can just take the cash). If the pot for 2nd place is over $250, he will have the option of a Wii as well.

2nd: 25% of pot
3rd: 10% of pot
ESTIMATED CURRENT POT: $850+
^^GOES UP AS EXPECTED ATTENDANCE INCREASES!^^
These are just the base prizes as well. If we get enough feedback in this thread to expect more than around 60 people, we will up them accordingly. I will be posting updates as feedback is given.

Events:
The D-Pad is complete with everything from classic Nintendo to PS3s, 360s, Wiis, Arcades, and PCs. It is filled with nearly every game imaginable, from a Third Strike arcade to two full Rock Band setups. Everything will be free to use for the weekend, starting at the moment of tournament entry and payment. There will also be an all nighter Saturday night if enough people want to stay.
-----------------------------------------------------
Play Brawl Early!:
There will be at least one Wii with a Japanese copy of Brawl at the tournament. It will be there from Friday the 8th until Sunday the 10th. Tournament players will be able to take turns playing in their free time. If we are able to secure more, we will have a mini-tournament on Sunday. I will announce the prize if we decide to have a tournament.
**IF YOU HAVE A MODDED (to play imports) OR JAPANESE WII PLEASE PM ME!**
**UPDATE** IT IS NOW IN! Come over and play it now. I command it!
-----------------------------------------------------
Housing:
There is a brand new Red Roof Inn that is less than five minutes from the D-Pad. It runs around $40-50 a night. There will be SOME free housing, but it will be first come, first serve.
I will go talk to the owners of local hotels to see if they will cut us a deal if we can guarantee a certain amount of rooms.

WiFi Wars Sponsorship & Raffle:
As some of you may know, WiFi Wars, a site created by: Scav - SmashBoards admin, Jason/M3D - SmashBoards moderator and former MLG senior editor, and yours truly is forming an online system for competitive Brawl called Smash League. It will be a ranked competitive league complete with scheduled matches, casual play, season-end playoffs with prizes, and more.
If you would like to learn more, visit http://www.wifiwars.com/?q=node/20 for some basic information. More info will be coming soon. In the mean time, join our site and hop in on the league rules discussion.
Raffle:
If you enter the tournament you are entered into a raffle to win a pre-ordered copy of Brawl! The more people come, the more prizes we'll add to the raffle!
Free Drinks:
If you come visit our booth and participate in early sign-up for Smash League / WiFi Wars, or you can prove you have already signed up, you will receive the free drink of the day. The drink of the day will range from fancy sodas to awesome energy drinks. You will also get the benefit of being able to reserve your name before official launch!
-----------------------------------------------------
If you plan on coming or are thinking about it, post here and I will add you to the list. If you need to carpool, list your area and I will try to organize some people to share cars. If you can't pay for a full hotel room for the evening, post as well and I will try to gather some people to share hotel rooms.
If there is anything you'd like to see added to our grand event, shoot me a PM or post here and I'll see what I can do.
-----------------------------------------------------
Just a notice: even though the D-Pad has AMAZING food and drinks for cheap, you are allowed to bring in outside food. There is a Little Casears within walking distance, a gas station, and a ton of awesome restaurants within a few minutes driving distance.
If you happen to pass out on one of the D-Pad's couches, just cover yourself with something and we'll try not to hit you with sticks (no promises!).
