I'd hate to say it, but it wasn't too long after registration I didn't see em. Maybe they all got taken which would be good, but don't worry, when people asked about there being another tournament I let them know about the Dpad's planned events.

Nice to see D-Pad still hosting tournaments.

If Brawl was one of the main events, I'd be all over this.
Too bad that ikkicon is the same day of this event (the Austin Anime Con).

Until then, I'm interested in the other games that may be hosted (like Guilty Gear AC, 3rd Strike, and so on).

Seems like I'm jumping on the Brawl wagon and gonna start taking that game seriously once japan gets there hands on it.

Until then, I hope for the best on the tournament.
Hell, I might even show up.

Hell yes I'm coming!

I registered for the forums just to post in this thread; I've been lurking for a while now. XD

I've always wanted to go to a real tournament... I think I suck, but whatever. I'm totally coming, and possibly bringing 2-3 more people.

The D Pad now has Super Smash Bros. Brawl to play!!( It is an imported copy!) Everyone should stop by and check it out. We will be playing it all day.

It's likely now that me and SOS will only be showing up Sunday. I'm against 17 bucks for singles because I know that I don't stand a chance at that Wii. Plus I dunno anyone that is going on Saturday that I could hitch a ride with.

But the gang wants to try out Brawl, and Sunday is good for everyone.

Wow.

And to think that I've been neglecting this topic since January?

Count me as a maybe.

Also, if I do go, it's only going to be Saturday for me.

Hey, never played in a Smash Tourney or any such thing, but I would definitely like to make a trip to New Braunfels if it meant playing SSBB early =]

So can I ask Harris, what would I need to bring to get in?

And I'm also interested in a SSBB tournament; it would be a great way to bring in a new game to us smashers in competetive style (even though the majority of us haven't touched it).

If you don't want to play in the tournament SA Town, you can just come and pay the usual D-Pad rate to hang out and play. In fact, if you're just looking to play Brawl, the D-Pad has Brawl all day, from noon to midnight, seven days a week for $4.50/hr, $9/2hrs, or $10/3hrs (do 3 hours, it's the best deal).

SWEET! **** man this is great. The whole time I've been living here next to UTSA and this badass game room I've been looking for years has been only 40 miles away =[

Last question: How packed is it just to play Brawl? I don't mind waiting, but I mean is it going to be like 20-30 minute waits between every game? What is it normally like now?

Sorry, this time we had it here because the venue was free! Plus it is stocked with tons of food, energy drinks, 360s, PS3s, PCs, etc. There are also a ton of Austin / SA smashers in the area. We are going to have a massive Brawl tournament in a few months most likely and it may be in New Braunfels, but I was thinking about something more like Dallas or in between Dallas/Houston.

Hrmm, it's usually not full. If you get there and there aren't four people on and you pay for an hour you are guaranteed to be on for an hour straight. When you get there you can ask to see when everyone's time is up on Brawl and call next.
