McFox
You are Krang (Independent Experimenter), disembodied brain bent on world domination.

Abilities
You don’t care about these puny, incompetent villains that the turtles are hunting. All you care about is completing your next experiment and finding the right tools to become the ruler of Dimension X and then, return to Earth with your army to conquer it as well.

Each night you may pick one player that you believe the town will lynch the following day and PM me their name. If that player is killed and is a mutant, you will collect their body before the town gets to see their role. If they are human or they are not killed, you fail and collect nothing. Once you collect two bodies, you can fuse the mutagen in their blood to create the energy source you need to return to Dimension X and conquer it again. You will exit the game a winner. Upon your exit, you may choose to kill one player, just for fun.

Restrictions
If any player reveals that he is the Shredder during the game, you must call him incompetent before the end of that day. If you fail to do so, your alignment will be revealed to a randomly selected player during the following night phase.

Win Conditions
You win by collecting two dead, mutated bodies and returning to Dimension X

Dastrn
You are Shredder (Town Vigilante), the murderous leader of the foot clan and sworn enemy of the Ninja Turtles.

Abilities
You are the world’s most deadly assassin. None but Ninja Turtles themselves could ever defeat you. Each night you may PM me the name of a player you wish to kill and they will be eliminated from the game. Be warned that there may be players in the game that also have killing abilities, so use yours wisely and don’t rush to reveal your role.

Restrictions
None. You’re the frickin Shredder.

Win Conditions
You win when all the threats to the town have been eliminated.

Gheb
You are Tokka (Town Idiot Mason), a mutated Alligator Snapping Turtle and underling to the Shredder, who you think is your mommy.

Abilities
You are an idiot. Your mutation was corrupted by Dr. Jordan Perry and so now you and your partner Rahzar (XXX) are total morons. Abilities
Despite being a raging alligator, you have a sharp mind and you move quickly through the sewers. Each night you are able to investigate someone by PM’ing me their name. If your investigation succeeds, you will be told whether that player is a hero or a villain.

Restrictions
You harbor a grudge against Donatello. If he dies and you are not the person to cast the final vote against him or to kill him in some other fashion, you will be too enraged to perform your nightly investigation. You will regain your cop powers the following night.

You win when all the threats to the town have been eliminated.

Scamp
You are Zanranmon (Town Bulletproof Politician), the Supreme Leader of the Triceratons, an alien race that the Ninja Turtles have run afoul of on many of their adventures.

Abilities
As a Supreme Leader, you have the power to control the will of others. Each night you may PM me the name of a player. You will visit that player during the night and bend them to your will. The following day they may only vote once and only when you order to them to. You send this order by PM’ing me the vote and then I will PM the vote order to the player anonymously.

You may also choose not to visit anyone during the night. If you do not visit anyone, you will stay on guard during the night and will use your dense Triceraton skin to resist an attack. Once you are hit, you will stop being bulletproof on any following nights. This is a one-time use power.

Restrictions
Your powers of influence will fail if players know from where they are coming. If you ever reveal that you are the one controlling votes, you will lose that ability completely.

Win Conditions
You win when all the threats to the town have been eliminated.

Mayling
You are Karai (Town Tracker), the surrogate daughter of the Shredder and second-in-command of the Foot Clan.

Abilities
A formidable ninja in your own right, you are second to only Shredder in the Foot Clan. Your ninja skills allow you to track any player during the night and see who they visit, although the need to stay invisible prevents you from getting close enough to see what action exactly was performed. Each night you may PM me the name of a player you wish to follow. If your tracking succeeds, you will be told whom, if anyone, that player visited during the night.

Restrictions
As the surrogate daughter of the Shredder, you hold an important role in the fight to make the Foot Clan the most powerful ninja clan in the world. Should you die during either the day or night, the following day phase will skipped, since all players will be attending your funeral.

Win Conditions
You win when all the threats to the town have been eliminated.

Kirbyoshi
You are Cheng (Town Mystical Doctor), a mystical ninja that serves as the Foot Clan’s doctor.

Abilities
Using mystical ninjitsu powers, you are the Foot Clan’s medical specialist. Each night you may PM me the name of a player you wish to protect. If that player is targeted for a kill, you will save their life. You may not target yourself for protection.

Once during the game, if you cast the final vote needed to lynch a player, you will absorb their abilities and gain the knowledge of all their previous night actions and results. However, if this player is mafia/turtle-aligned, you will be gravely wounded instead and may not use your doctor powers during any following night phase.

You may only use one ability each night.

Restrictions
None. You are magic.

Win Conditions
You win when all the threats to the town have been eliminated.

Yeroc
You are Master Tatsu (Town Trainer), the ninjitsu instructor of the Foot Clan soldiers.

Abilities
A serving your master Shredder, you are the trainer of the Foot Clan assassins. Once each night you may PM me the name of a player you wish to train in the ways of ninjitsu. If you successfully train the same player twice, that player will be given a day kill to use at their discretion. You may not train yourself.

Restrictions
If at any point during the game, the Shredder reveals his role, you must quote his post and say “Master Shredder!” If you fail to do so before that day phase ends, a random townie will be killed during the following night.

Win Conditions
You win when all the threats to the town have been eliminated.

tHe-Man
You are Antrax (Town Executioner), a mutated ant that serves as an executioner.

Abilities
You have no special abilities.

Restrictions
As an executioner, you have no will of your own. You execute players at the will of the town. You may not vote at all unless it is the final vote necessary to lynch. Attempting to vote before this may result in a punishment for the town.

Win Conditions
You win when all the threats to the town have been eliminated.

lol, N2 was ridaculous.

I feel like I could have played a lot better. I decided I would try and be a bit more forthright and stay away from so much analysis paralysis that I'm often prone to, and it really didn't seem to work out so well. Lots of bad reads all around, lol. Should have just listened to Scamp all along. Awesome job to Kevmo and OS for a stellar D1 and D2, respectively.

I'll post my overall strategy and reasoning for some interesting parts of this game... most of the stuff that happened was planned, but the game was given to me primarily due to Hilt killing himself and then Mayling setting town up for a stand-off that ended in failure.

Gimmie a minute to write it up ^_^

Fun fact: I have a 100% win rate (not survival rate) in mafia, real life and online. This is my first online game (that was true!) and I thought it'd break my record a few times there, lol.

I'm a little disappointed with how things went down at the end, but I had to modkill Kirbyoshi. He had been AWOL for a long time and I had sent him private messages saying that he would be modkilled if he didn't return to the game. Apparently someone had spoken to him and offered to replace in and he refused, so whatever happened that caused his absence, it was his own fault that his role was eventually killed.

As you guys may have figured out, Hilt quoted the actual image in his role PM and Yeroc did not. Yeroc also didn't say that he had a picture in his role PM or quote his PM at all, so his information dropping was perfectly legit, while Hilt's unfortunately broke the rules. The town jumped on the "meta" too fast on that one unfortunately and didn't give Yeroc a fair chance.

Overswarm gets MVP and Least Valuable Player all at once for scum. He ignored KevinM's advice on two occasions when Mafia could have got better plays out of switches, one of which cost KevinM his life. Instead of Dastrn and Kev dying together, Dast would have hit tHe-Man instead and would have been put in a tough spot on whether or not to target KevinM again for a night kill. That could have bought scum way more time and damage to the town. OS' obvscum delay on the KevinM lynch on Day 2 made him the super obvious lynch candidate for subsequent days and he certainly would have died if it weren't for two modkills and a town quicklynch on Yeroc in the middle.

Although... Mayling... wow you handed OS the game at the end by revealing that you were a beloved princess.

Despite killing the cop, Town MVP was Dastrn for taking down KevinM before the town was forced into a MyLo situation.

Really bummed that the Krang role didn't get played. I designed it specifically for Tom and McFox wouldn't have been a bad replacement if he had survived a little longer.

If I had time, I could have at least made a case about OS, such as out of all the players to target, why WOULD I tango with OS? Really, the exchange between him and The-man dayWhateverThatWas would be enough that if I wanted an easy win and to incriminate someone, my choices would have been better served with Kirbyoshi or Gheb, or even Scamp. But, apparently as scum I would choose Mister HelloI'mWallOTextingYou to tango with. (makes sense to me too)

Scamp could have helped out by mentioning he was bulletproof (if he did I missed it) which would have made even LESS SENSE overswarm could turn himself into bulletproof and still be town AND there was a doctor.

First off, the luck and lack thereof:

Lucky stuff:
Hilt dying. This gave me two kills. I knew Yeroc had just posted a different picture of Tatsu and wasn’t Tokka; he had not been acting in line with Hilt all game in any way. All I had to do was start the wagon and only two more votes were needed, since tHe-Man never lost an excuse to hammer. It was incredibly handy that the Tokka picture fit so well with the Rahzar picture (and looking now, actually was the picture).

KirbyYoshi being inactive (kinda). KirbyYo being inactive at first was troublesome for me. I was planning on using KirbyYo as a stepping stool to get a double lynch, pinning it as “either KirbyYoshi or (person gunning for him) is mafia” and then getting two night kills and two free lynches from it. I’d already set this up with Yeroc and tHe-Man. In addition to all this… KirbyYo kept mentioning that I was scum from the beginning! Would have been dangerous to have him around.

Unlucky stuff:

Mafia partners being Chill and KevinM.

Chill was inactive from the start and his power would have been insanely useful, especially late game. I voted to kill him off when I got the chance, still playing my “newbie” card. I was expecting someone to comment on this near the end of the game, but no one really did, so I gained nothing from it that I know of.

KevinM wasn’t bad at all, but he was a prime suspect for a lot of players which made him dangerous. It was dangerous to talk to him, dangerous to defend him, dangerous to attack him, dangerous to ignore him. Anything you did in excess was a pretty big deal if it was associated with him. The guy is like a lynch bug light. I tried to play my votes safely and defend everyone without solid evidence and just treated him as I would if we were both town and hoped for the best. My “defense” of him later caught the eye of Hilt, and Hilt probably would have gotten me killed if he stayed alive. I was intending on playing it more as an aggression against tHe-Man’s super aggression, but the timing of KevinM’s death was… unfortunate for that.

KevinM being killed by Dastrn (kinda). This was supposed to happen, but not at that time. Originally the plan was to switch actions between KevinM and tHe-Man (which would have meant Dastrn would have killed tHe-Man), and this would have set up for more double kills in our favor if I kept switching actions from KevinM. This would have cemented Mayling’s tracker claim, so maybe this was lucky. KevinM wasn’t online much when I was, and I was away from my PC all that Night save for the beginning of it. I sent my actions to M3D before leaving on a plane for the weekend and was unable to discuss it with KevinM further.
Specific Actions and Strategy

I basically came in wanting to play the newbie card so I could survive to mid-game and by that time attach myself to someone that struck everyone as town as well as an obvious town that was going to get himself killed. My choices were Gheb and Yeroc by mid-game. Read through a bit with that in mind and my posts become decidedly more hilarious. The plan was to protect Yeroc as much as possible and, inevitably, see him killed. I would be considered linked with him in some way and “the next lynch” if Yeroc was mafia, and then Yeroc would turn up town and I’d be clear for another day. tHe-Man chose himself as a foil for this, making him a strong play if Yeroc showed up town. Taking Gheb as my buddy all game made it pretty easy to avoid getting into trouble, since Gheb’s opinion was pretty respected all game. I was ecstatic when he was cleared.

First Night, I wanted to kill Iggy. He was my choice because he was a lurker, but not inactive; knowing Iggy this was either him being a game-changing poster that would have no problem steering a conversation in one direction or another or he would have a power role added to that. KevinM suggested we kill McFox because he was simply a good mafia player; I agreed as I didn’t know any of the players’ styles here (and KevinM got the final call as Leo anyway).

Why I killed tHe-Man:

tHe-Man was a wild card that could be easily manipulated, but not controlled. I knew all he needed was a target and he’d take the path of least resistance; all game he’d say “This guy this guy this guy…. And possibly this guy as well” and then switch to straight up attacking whoever was a more likely lynch. Path of least resistance type of play. Problem with that is, as the game dwindles it would inevitably turn into a stand-off between tHe-Man and myself. The moment that became apparent, I had to kill him. I had been setting up for a KirbyYo lynch due to inactivity in as many posts as I could so it’d give an opportunity for someone to mess up during the day we lynch KirbyYo. If I hadn’t killed tHe-Man, I would have died within two days easily.

What happened with Mayling:

I honestly wasn’t suspecting her claim. If she had left out the “princess” part, I would have been sunk. Ditto with KirbyYoshi not being inactive; I thought he was Tokka, Scamp was controlling votes, and Gheb was the nurse.
Unfortunately for Mayling, she said too much and allowed me to send walls and walls of text, turning it into a stand-off. Her claim of “princess” made this much easier; I was basically stalling time for a modkill. KirbyYoshi hadn’t been posting but HAD been active on his account, so I was just waiting for him to die so I’d get a free kill. I made one slip the entire game, and that happened to be me saying “we don’t have much time” to Mayling. Luckily, the end of the night was just a week ahead of when I said it was and there wasn’t much time from a night kill!

What I had planned on doing:

I had planned on killing Scamp by switching results between him and Gheb and targeting the Night kill on Gheb. I figured Scamp was switching votes (meaning he had two votes). This actually would have worked, since apparently Gheb couldn’t vote. I was unaware of this since he broke the rules and voted for me. GRRR! >:[
That would have resulted in another easy night kill. So… even if Mayling hadn’t claimed princess I still would have won, but I could have made a mistake and changed my mind and killed Gheb instead (I did think he was the medic, after all).



I hope you all read into this an insane amount so I can switch it up in future games to mess with you all.

We had KevinM + Yeroc + OS as a scumteam from D2 onwards. Yeroc was hardcore buddying with KevinM for some reason, the quicklynch was well deserved. He should've noted the pic wasn't from his PM when he posted it if he did do it to avoid the rules, imo.

Scamp taking votes was extremely annoying. Ugh.

We managed to convince Dastrn, who accidently was the exact role we needed to convince. Good going, tHe-Man.

OS, good job. I could see you were stalling at the end for the win. The moment Mayling revealed she was a princess, I knew you were going to win.

M3D, well done designing this game. It was a good one, and if it wasn't for hax, it would have been a super well balanced game.

Meh, I don't see how I made any mistakes personally, especially toward the end. It's pretty obvious I was 100 percent in favor of killing OS, all that really had to happen was KirbyYoshi posting. Certainly I didn't expect the game to be able to end right there, which is why I was content to wait. Furthermore, I also didn't expect KY to be killed just yet. Didn't really matter, I guess. I was going to just let him die since I certainly didn't want him to Iggy his way to victory.

It's really disappointing that the game had to end this way. I really can't stand inactives in any game of mafia. Interesting that I technically had the power to end the game there and I didn't use it. I don't really blame myself for that, though. Can't stop people from ruining games. I count this as a personal victory (I need one, dammit) and we'll go from there.


OS how come you don't mention the quicklynch of Yeroc in your victory post? My mind is still boggled by that action from the rest of the town. Even if convinced Yeroc was the play, what the hell was the point of the quicklynch?

KevinM really had me going the whole game. I'm still reeling from how badly I read that. OS you really started to slip the last day. Only I was already dead so I couldn't do anything about it .

Guess we just never had a chance to get off on the right foot R/X. I loathe T/Ting, but it was still a fun game.

Edit: Yeah, bad choices for Trainings. Hence why I didn't follow up on anybody. Scamp's the only one I would have if I'd lived to D5, and it might have made the difference >_>.

Quicklynch on Yeroc:

I certainly thought I was going to be able to get him lynched with a super train without any guilt placed on me for it (it was a convincing argument for anyone that didn't stop to think about it), but it did happen faster than I expected. I knew the moment there was one vote away there'd be an instant hammer from tHe-Man, but I couldn't really control the L-1 status, just could start the train. Thanks again, Mayling!

This goes back to the fact that you depended on the kirbyo modkill. Which is pretty much non-game stuff that doesn't apply to gameplay.

Either you or mayling should have been lynched in a normal situation with all players active.

The princess ability was irrelevant in this situation, so no, her claiming didn't hand the game to you. Kirbyo's modkill did.

This goes back to the fact that you depended on the kirbyo modkill. Which is pretty much non-game stuff that doesn't apply to gameplay.

Either you or mayling should have been lynched in a normal situation with all players active.

If she was lynched. Scum won.
If you were lynched. Town won.

The princess ability was irrelevant in this situation, so no, her claiming didn't hand the game to you. Kirbyo's modkill did.

The only reason I claimed anything for Mayling was because KirbyYo had been inactive. I had been watching his account and asking for prods; Scamp himself noted that he was giong to get killed for inactivity. It was over ten days from his last post and he had still logged in; I just had to camp my way to a final lynch... until Mayling claimed princess, in which case I won the game.

I retract my previous comment about Mayling making a mistake by claiming princess. It was MyLo at that point (although you didn't know it because Gheb didn't claim) so you had to do all you could to make sure you didn't get lynched.
