WHOSE THE EARLY BIRD TODAY MOTHERF*CKERS!!!!!! that taubsi video was the sheezy. i think thats my new fav. band. i coudln't here any audio tho cuz this is a laptop and i dont know how to turn the volume up. but i can see how that "better defines the direction that wisc. mediocre smash players are headed" totally. and the chick that dances with the stuffed animals does look like danondorf. it is nice that here has been a lot of tourny's lately. all crews should keep steppin it up so we do have one every month. that would be awesome. hopefully point could have one soon. considering there last one was on the same date as someone else's......stupid. i've only had a few friendlies with some of those guys at fc6 but i wish to play them all some more.

Yah, sounds like the central wisconsin players will be coming to CC4, but EoF tends to like..... never come. Maybe if I give him a full Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake......

I was just thinking.... we should do Smash Commentary for semi-finals and finals, and so on, for local tournaments, so that they compliment the vids.

I mean, me and Jamesparrow would be the perfect Al Michals, and John Madden of Smash. Throw in some Lonejedi jokes along the way, and we're golden.

Or, we could just record Finals with a camera on a tripod and let the live commentary speak for itself. For example, in match 4 of Tapion vs Puff, tapion does Raptor Boost -> Sweetspot Knee -> Double uair -> Sweetspot knee. JS said "Oh my god... OH MY GOD" and Puff yelled "Not fair!", both very accurate statements. Any more commentary than that isn't really necessary.

Me and JS are planning on making a montage or highlight video if you will. just of the smashfest that we played untill like 3 a.m.

Very close matches, very cool combo's, tech chased falcon punches, 0-death ****, and more!!!

just be patient since we have ALOT of footage... and thanks to all who showed up >_>..

so, as soon as i get back from lunch (which im about to go to) I'll continue working on it....

I was messing around with the camera and my tv's and I came really close to having an awesome setup. It would work like this: the TV with the big recliner would have the gamecube hooked up to it through VIDEO3, and also a camera with an AV adaptor in VIDEO2. Then, VIDEO3 output would go from the big TV to the other TV. MONITOR output would go from the big TV to the computer. Then, Picture in Picture would be used on the big TV, which would show VIDEO3 as smash for the majority of the screen, and VIDEO2 as the live video of the players, in one corner of the screen. The players would be watching on the other TV, looking only at the VIDEO3 being fed from the big TV, so their view wouldn't be obstructed by the live video. But since the computer is capturing from the MONITOR output, it would get both the game and the live video, automatically synchronized on top of each other. That's only the theory though, I tried it out and Picture in Picture doesn't show up on MONITOR output. Close but no cigar :(

Also, I cleaned my room a bit and I found my other basenji sock. Score!!

jesus f*cking christ..................i couldn't follow up on that at all. im a hardcore electonics noob. i dont even know the basics of a computer. like megabites, and gegabites........fo real. who all went to the fest?

Doesn't mean you have to swear about it.........but yah. The fest sounded fun, hopefully I can get a pre CC4 fest somewhere, like we did for CC3, I'll see what I can do.

The captured video would look like that, but the players would be watching another TV that didn't have the live Picture in Picture over it. But unfortunately it doesn't work :( we can still hopefully get some microphone input going on. I wonder how strange that would sound when played back though...

What angle are you guys talking about ???

Anyways, I just bought two tv's for a grand total of $25. This is the new setup in my basement



The tv's in the first picture not only have their input split from 1 gamecube, but it also is being captured by the computer, seen in the 2nd picture. That means each team/player gets their own TV, and it's captured, too! Awesome! Too bad this doesn't really matter, seeing as how there are only like 2 people that ever play outside of southern WI, and even less play at my house :( but, these tv's will be useful for the next tournament.

Speaking of which, and since Ethan is not on AIM, and since this thread/post is currently pretty pointless anyways, Ethan: did you find out about the flexibility of the date for HJ4?
