The other day i went to a tarrot reader between job interviews to see if would get a job and she pulled a death card on my ***. She wouldnt tell me anymore other than my day basically looked like **** after this. I shook it off not caring too much what she said so I went about my business. But then I was bored and started thinking about how I would actually die if it were too happen today. I was walking on the sidewalk near a busy street and it seemed pretty simple for a car to veer off and nail me. At this point I felt a little supersticsious and decided to duck into a CVS just to shake it off again for a minute. After my tour of the store I had picked up a couple of items that I wanted to purchse. They were: A pack of gum, a pack of blank CDs, a box of condoms, a Coke, and some duck tape. After I still thought about the tarrot card so I tried to keep my mind off it some more by thinking about the things I just bought. I thought, "What if I were to buy these same 5 things from the same store everyday for the next year? The cashier would think im a amateur pornstar who burns illegal CDs for a living or something." After that I STILL couldn't stop thinking about the tarrot card so I decided to play it safe and go watch Inception in a theatre and it worked. The movie was awsome and totally took my mind of the gypsy that read the cards for me. Then I realized I had missed my interview and later I found out I didn't get the first job I applied for. The tarrot card was right. I felt like death after that event.

Anyways what do you guys think about tarrot cards? im a believer.

I went to a tarot reader last month in Thailand.

The cards basically said I was a very fortunate person, and that someone was gonna **** me over within the next 3-6 months.......

It weirded me out for a bit but then I eventually shook it off.

But then a couple weeks later I ran into a yogi (a male practitioner of various forms of spiritual practice <-- lol wikipedia) and what he said basically matched the tarot cards exactly.
He basically said I was very fortunate, and that I was gonna get ****ed over by some guy that I knew.

He offered to tell me the name of the guy but I said no thanks.

Not sure how I sit on the whole tarot, future telling stuff though.

Tarot card readers, and other fortune tellers, are known for doing something called cold reading. They pretty much say a bunch of vague things that really could apply to anybody, and if asked for a name, say a very common name like "John" or "Lisa".

It's really easy to do, and really, it just psychs most people out into believing that everything that happens later that day (or in the coming weeks, months, etc. depending on the prediction) happened because of the prediction, even though it would have anyway.

The Death Card is not a bad thing. Something people always assume is that Death means that you are going to die in some terrible terrible way. XIII - Death may sound ominous and bad but in actuality it's supposed to symbolize internal change, cycles, ect. Basically, it's means the "Death" of old ways and the birth of new ones.

Now while I personally don't believe that tarot cards hold any power, if you really believe in that sort of thing then the card you need to watch out for is the Tower. Just sayin'.

I somewhat believe in them. I've seen them work, but on the contracry, I've seen people change their futures. :>

Then again, my interest in Tarot started when I was 13 and got rebooted when I started playing Persona 3 ...

I am actually planning on illustrating a deck, soon.

Dude, your items...sounds like you're about to go **** someone.

IDK about Tarot cards. I agree with Skyler.
BUT I do believe in prophets and that psychics might have some kind of abilities but don't use them the same as a prophet would. Like a psychic is in it for the money and just says what they think/feel. Whereas a prophet might also be in it for the money but at least acts like they are concerned when they give you some bad news and they try to ease it by doing other things.
