I'll try that series prediction thingy:
: New spin-off (Strikers maybe?) for Wii U. A new 2D Mario (whether it be NSMB or a new thing entirely) title is announced to launch with the NX. And of course, Rio Olympics on Wii U and 3DS. Super Mario Maker continues to get some support for at least a little into the year. More Super Mario Amiibos (I personally predict Wave 2 will be Rosalina, DK, Wario, Daisy, Waluigi, and Toadette, as that line-up serves as providing direct parallels to Wave 1). More Jazwares figures, with characters like Rosalina, Daisy, Toadette, etc. Possible news on the Super Mario animated movie. Some kind of mobile game. I don't believe we will hear of any new 3D Mario but if we do, it's absolutely going to be Galaxy 3 (which will be released in 2017).
: Hyrule Warriors Legends releases, possible ongoing support with DLC or some kind of Amiibo support. Zelda Wii U is shown off in great detail and potentially launches at the end of the year, and potentially is announced for the NX too. Also since Wolf Link officially starts the "Legend of Zelda" Amiibo series, expect more Zelda Amiibos to be announced at some point. And something made by Jazwares. Possible news on a Zelda movie/TV show. Symphony of the Goddess concert returns, has a preview of Zelda Wii U music.
: More info on Pokémon GO! (IIRC I don't think it's releasing in 2016), Pokémon Z, probably a new movie and more F2P spin-off stuff. Possible news on the Sony Pictures movie.
: New Kirby game for Wii U, either traditional, or a fully 3D game that revolutionises the series.
: Possible update/DLC for Woolly World (mostly just thinking of them supporting more Amiibos). And they'll find some way to release another new Yoshi Amiibo. :V
: Possible WarioWare handheld or NX entry. Or even mobile (Wario is
perfect for that). New Wario Amiibo as part of the Super Mario line.
: Either Retro's working on a Tropical Freeze sequel, or there will be some sort of handheld thing. Also a DK Amiibo as part of the Super Mario line, as I mentioned earlier.
: Federation Force releases and has a Samus cameo as well as some kind of Samus/ZSS Amiibo support. Game does alright but is largely forgotten. Possible NX Metroid title announced.
: Star Fox: Zero launches, does well enough but isn't the big thing people hoped for. At least one new Amiibo to tie in with the game. More Star Fox Jazwares merchandise.
: Mother 3 on VC.
: It's possible he might actually get something on NX. Let's just hope the NX has some sort of control gimmick that satisfies Miyamoto. :V
: Fates is a big success on the 3DS, supports Roy and Corrin Amiibos eventually. SMT x FE does badly though doesn't effect the series too much since it barely has anything to do with FE. And since Nintendo is experimenting with new avenues, I think if any series is going to get an anime, it's Fire Emblem. And maybe even a mobile title too. I could also see them bringing the trading card game overseas. Basically if Fates does at least as well as Awakening, Nintendo are going to do everything they can to make it a flagship franchise that will see releases and merchandising fairly frequently.
: Pikmin 4 on Wii U and/or NX.
: New title for the NX and something on mobile.
: Animal Crossing Wii U. This time it's not a party game. Makes heavy use of the AC Amiibo line and is a flagship title for Amiibo.
: I think he could actually get a Wii U title. Something to fill up space until NX comes, it would really satisfy the Western market at least.
: Maybe a Wii U port of Uprising. Not something over the top, I'm talking along the lines of the jump between Rodea 3DS and Wii U. Just touching things up slightly and changing controls to suit the game. And it has Amiibo support somehow.
: Xenoblade Chronicles X DLC, and I think Shulk will make an appearance in SOMETHING. Like he'll guest star in one game or another. And of course Project X Zone 2 has Fiora in it.
: Eeeeeh I honestly don't know. Some Game & Watch related cameo in something but that's all I got. Or some kind of collection on 3DS. Or something mobile.
: R.O.B Famicom Amiibo (that I already have :V), and R.O.B makes a cameo in something.
: Maybe this will be "Sakurai's New Uprising" and we will hear an announcement of it at least. More realistically, I could see Duck Hunt Mobile being a thing. It would translate over real easily.
: One or two new console/handheld games for the 25th anniversary, and I believe one will be focused on Classic Sonic entirely. Fire & Ice comes out and does moderately well. Rio Olympics too. And Sonic Runners sees continued support along with the Sonic Dash games. Potentially a new All-Stars Racing. Sonic Boom Season 2 will start. All sorts of merchandising and events like concerts and stuff. I also think there will be a "Mario & Sonic" Mystery Mushroom costume in Super Mario Maker, akin to the Paper Jam one. At least one PC port of a past Sonic game will happen, most likely Colours (and the modding community will go nuts). And I think we will hear about a Sonic Amiibo line. There's probably more I could mention but overall, out of all of the franchises represented on the Smash roster, Sonic is definitely the one who has the biggest year ahead of him, without a doubt, especially considering his track record with Anniversary years. The 20th was huge.
: Mega Man Legacy Collection 3DS and the Gold Mega Man Amiibo. More news on the new cartoon. MAYBE a new game if we are lucky.
: Mostly merchandising. Maybe a new mobile title. And some sort of movie cameo.
: SFV releases and is a big hit. Akuma in Tekken 7. And we maybe here something about Tekken X Street Fighter.
: More FFVII remake news, maybe even a demo set in the opening. Cloud appears in more FF spin-off stuff. Cloud and other FF characters like Lightning confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 3.
: Either a new game announcement or more DLC for Bayonetta 2. Maybe appears in something SEGA related.
: Miitomo, and a new Mii focused game on NX. Possibly another Tomadachi Life too.
