Lord version from what I know of
FE1 Marth is surprisingly useful for someone without a promotion, but his level caps at 30 instead of 20. He's also a ****ing tank in FE1, especially as the Falchion made you almost invincible
FE2 Alm's growths are the best in the game despite being ****, and only he can defeat Dolma
FE4: Sigurd is an absolute beast, he's a Paladin, essentially
FE5: Leif is rather weak, but gets good skills and can eat scrolls to be great
FE6 **** stats, meh growths, sword locked, promotes SUPER late and can eat ****
FE7 Eliwood is Roy, but less ****. His promotion is fairly late, and his stats are better than Roy. Surpringly good Res too. Lyn is a Myrmidon, high speed, high chance at crits, but she's frail as ****. Hector's only weakness is low Res till his promotion. That is all
FE8 Eirika is a a bit more balanced Lyn, Ephraim uses lances and has great stats
FE9 Ike is a ****ing unstoppable monster
FE10 See above. Miciah is slow and frail, but her magic is good
FE13 Chrom is pretty damn strong, Lucina is only better!

Protagonists of Fire Emblem
FE1/11: 's legitimately a strong unit. Biggest fault being only decent movement range and low res because NOBODY has res if they don't use magic in the early games.
FE2: Alm is a literal god killer. Celica is a VERY potent magic user alongside swinging a sword better than most units.
FE3/12: 's decent movement is REALLY visible because of generally larger maps. Overall a bit less potent than his original self.
FE4: SIGURD WILL END YOUR LIVES. SELIPH DOES DAMN GOOD TOO BUT MAN, THAT SIGURD.
FE5: Leif is a theif with a Lord's name.
FE6: Worse Marth.
FE7: Eliwood - FE3 Marth. Hector: D-D-DUNK MASTER. Lyn: Myrm problems. Crits are great when you do more than 3 base damage.
FE8: Erika is a middle ground of Marth and Lyn who gets neither's strengths. Ephiram is a middleground of Eliwood and Hector but with lances.
FE9: Ike Solo Runs are a thing.
FE10: Ike is even buffer. Micaiah is an escort mission.
FE13: Chrom's slightly above average which is bad compared to how hard almost anyone else can snowball. Lucina is a myrm version of her father. Robins allll revolve around how you wanna build them.
FE14: Manaketes master race. I know nothing about Corrin's stats or if Aqua is truly a second protagonist but manaketes, yo.

Lords in FE can really setup how good or bad the experience is in any game.

If the Lord is good then the game will be pretty well since you don't have to worry about that unit as much but when you have to constantly babysit that lord (see and Alm in Gaiden) it becomes either really tedious or an actual bad experience.

Actually finished my 5th run of FE13 not to long ago and bersker Yarne breaks the game likes its not even fair.

Federation Force has pretty average sale and pretty average reviews. Considered pretty good for a spin off. Most people cant get over the fact spin offs arent inherently evil and it doesnt do as well as it should. Will be looked back at years later as pretty damn good

Considering the reception Unleashed got in the end it was probably for the best they didn't go with the Adventure 3 moniker (even if the game still is SA3)
