Coming up with an online alias is one of the hardest parts of the digital age.
The best ones are the ones that work on multiple levels, like mine! I talk too much haha, so I can't say yes in just one word, and my username even self-referencially points this out by using four.

It's super hard to find ones that aren't already taken though. You just have to be super creative. :shades:

It's funny, when I started with the net the way to do it was to take one of your interests and slap a number on it. nowadays it seems to be combining two words together.

@Swampasaur, and anyone who's interested - I'm SquidKid18 on the PS4 PlayStation Network.

I'm hearing fireworks - and it's now less than three hours before Australia enters 2016.
For many of us, this year has been fraught with challenges, both on our own personal scales and on a greater scale out of our hands.

From the start of this year, I trudged on through my studies and the assignments, (Quite unrelenting - we had to do it all in the school holidays) I've struggled through the passing on of one of our dogs, Lottie. She lived a happy life with us, but she had a heart illness and often had difficulties breathing. Come the end of March when I finished most of my Half-Yearly exams, we all knew she didn't have long, and had to be put down I was slightly down in the dumps - cause we all miss her. The next morning I knew that the term was ending, and the best Smash Bros announcement - The Super Smash Bros Fighter Ballot, alongside Lucas and Mewtwo in action. That was perhaps my real introduction into the crazy world of Smash Bros speculation. My first vote was Roy, and it turned out fate was kind to me. I wonder, had I realised in advance and gave myself only one true vote, who would it have gone too?
It was K. Rool that I voted for next, but if I removed him from the picture, my next one would have been Isaac

Come Mewtwo's release - that leak revealed that the Boy Roy was coming home with the World Warrior in tow. The infamous Royu Leak. My main finally back, and better than ever!

E3... Of course, not Nintendo's best performance, but we didn't really know what was going on behind the scenes. A month later, the entire gaming community put down their controllers, whether it be the DualShock 4, Xbox One controller, or the GamePad, and honoured the life of man who changed the face of modern gaming - Satoru Iwata. A man who's jovial love of games inspired many of us, and reminded us what games are all about - fun.

For many of us Nintendo fans - we were on edge; worried if the Nintendo Direct would return - and come October, our hype train had been reignited - The Nintendo Direct was coming back.

Come that day, I had already freed myself from the ties that is school and the HSC! FREEDOM! ...Until University. So what better thing to do - Watch the Direct live. Most of it what we knew, but it's nice to see them hosting the Nintendo Directs again. And at the end, the Smash scene imploded.

Cloud Strife. My Final Fantasy has been realised. (Fire Emblem VS Final Fantasy! It needs to happen!!)

And the promise of the grand finale to this crazy ride. And a surprising conclusion! K. Rool? Isaac? Inkling? Shovel Knight? Paper Mario? All these other names had flown across the place, waiting for their chance to be recognised, hopefully as the winner of the Smash Bros Ballot. And a turnabout finale. ...And getting my HSC results the same morning too. 75.60 Not too shabby. :p (Wish it could have been a real turnabout... #PhoenixWright4Smash5!)

No, we are hosted to The Hoshido/Nohr Chainsaw Massacre - Featuring Corrin, and the Ballot Winner, one that nobody could have ever called, save one little Pikmin. The Umbran Witch... Bayonetta.

What a climax for the Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U lifecycle. Of course, I was slightly disheartened that none of my top three made it in (K. Rool, Isaac, Inkling), but I knew that these characters looked like a lot of fun, and I eagerly anticipate their release. Although I did end up severing ties to the Kutthroats and made Isaac my new number one following the Final Presentation's conclusion, I had a fun time speculating with all of you guys on Smashboards. I'm probably going to spend more time here, now that most of the speculation scene is over. I'll probably just be here for some fun, just general social stuff, and just chilling out with the community that I've spent the past year with.

It's been a lot of fun, doing speculation and making movesets for characters. I've done all my top three, and now working on hypotheticals for Elma and, surprisingly, the Arcade Bunny. Of course, I hope some of this all pays off in the future - and I know that the characters I supported this time that didn't make it will probably have just a good chance come the next instalment of Smash Bros.

And what do I wish for in 2016? A world of peace and one where society can move on without the fear of threats of violence against their lives, and a year of fun gaming for all who are ready to pick up their controllers and face the new foes of next year.

Thank you Smashboards for an entertaining 2015, and see you all soon in 2016! (Australian time!)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

As a fellow Australian, I have to say after reading that...

The fact it is the end of the year feels so surreal. Going into year 11 next year, so hopefully by this time next year I can discover what I want to do once I finish the HSC.

It has been a crazy year, 2015 has been. The good, the bad, the ugly... it had everything. I can honestly say thanks to Smash DLC and entertaining games like SMM, this has been my favourite year for gaming so far.

Only a few mins until the new year... here is some sloppily taken pictures of some fireworks I went to see that were taken:

gravity falls fan mark your calendars. Feburary 15th,the last episode
February has the end of everything I love
Gravity Falls
Smash DLC
And vacations
It's gonna be a wild ride
I have a feeling it'll be Linebeck. He makes a lot of sense for the final character.
Pushy-sama knows what's up
And now I'm gonna refer to everyone with Japanese honorifics
*something something GameXplain theory video*

In all seriousness I still think we're not getting a final character.
Wasn't it confirmed that there was gonna be a final character though?

Or super terrible.

I doubt anyone would combine Falco and Koopa to make FalKoopa. :p
At least it's so unique that it's never taken.

I came up with my username when I was 13 and making a YouTube account.

I like Sonic.
Brawl was hot at the time.
And I liked the band Blink182.

So there it is.

I just use it everywhere for convenience. I have considered going with "LunarWaltz", "GlovesOffSonic", and "Rosalina's Chiko" at various points though.

By the way, for anyone who has Badge Arcade, what does he reply to this option? Please, I need to know.

Last night I played Xenoblade Chronicles X for 3 hours straight. It left so good to be back fighting with Talent Arts...even if the Monado isn't one of them. I gave Cross blond hair and blue eyes and Adam Howden's voice and named him Shulk so I can force him into this game. And hot dog, Howden delivers. He has throw-backs to the original in a ton of his lines. Very pleased. I just started Chapter 3 and chose Mediation for my division.

Indeed. I for one got my username from a character I created (which is not the one found in my avatar) back in mid-2010. I first used it for a YouTube "group" channel, but since I wanted to have a definitive username, something I didn't really have before, I went along with it. I'm known as Flight everywhere. FlightShift, Flightx.. the list goes on.

It's generic, but it works.

From the 3ds? I knew about the wii u, but I didn't know it could be done from the 3ds( if so).
And thanks!
And why are we arguing about how speed is important to Sonic?

Where was this after the Smash Direct? It would have been perfect. In fact if Splatoon ever gets a stage in any smash, it needs to be this one; so I could tell all the salty fans to go play it.
My B, somehow that looked like a TV to me. I clearly wasn't paying attention.

Happy New Year everyone.
May we be blessed with one year without this place going into flames (or at least a month? I'd even settle for a day).

I need better online branding. It's tough to find me around, as people forgot how many "N"s are in the name, that the 2nd "O" is a zero, or how many "R"s is in it.

My friends have settled on "ConnorEatsPants". Just because it's memorable. I think its easy to remember. It's stupid. But easy to remember ;)
Yeah, in the past when I tried to even tag you I had a hard time remembering how to spell it. The simpler the better.

You what I noticed? Cloud is the only 3rd party character who's debut title isn't playable on a Nintendo platform in any way. Everyone else has:

:snake: NES in North America, MSX port via Wii Virtual Console in Japan
:4sonic: A big number of ports over the years
:4pacman: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY too many ports to list
:4megaman: The only one who actually debuted in a Nintendo platform (+ ports)
:4ryu: TurboGrafx 16 port via Wii Virtual Console
:4bayonetta: Enhanced Wii U port
:4cloud: NOPE! NADA! ZILCH!

There is a Chinese bootleg of Final Fantasy VII for NES though, but we know that doesn't count.

Holy ****.

This thread is dead lol. I'm guessing everyone's busy with festivities
I'm not. My mother is just going out with her friends and my friends are all doing their own thing (either spending time with family or girlfriends). So I'm doing nothing for New Years (I never particularly do anything anyway, at least not since the last 3 or 4 years).

I was just lurking a few Sonic sites for no particular reason just now.

And watching Lamarr Wilson unbox things.

I just have nothing really to talk about so that's why I haven't really been posting. My Smashboards activity in general has been dying out for the past while now.

Still loving Bayonetta 2. Though I noticed a couple chapters are a little on the short side compared to the prequel. :/

And this game has the most beautiful version of Moon River I've ever heard:

I live in UAE and there is 2 hours left until we reach 2016 but something VERY bad happened, there is a building that is very close to Burj Khalifa that is burning right now and I see it from my house.

I hope the firefighter fix all the problem faster and nobody gets hurt there.

I heard it in the news. That's really unfortunate.

It's a really large fire, apparently. Hope it gets under control quickly and damage is minimised.
