It's a little hypocritical but if he really had a change of heart what's wrong with changing his mind? People are so afraid of being labelled hypocritical that they stick to stuff they've said even though it makes sense.

It's okay to be cautious (I am too; I am not expecting drastic change), but don't call the guy a hypocritc if he actually changed his approach to things.

Edit: Or at least, if he did change recognize the value of that change and don't be all negative and say that he should act the same. It's still too early to tell but this is a good sign. His video was 100% reasonable.

The dataminers say they won't get involved but there's always one guy...

On the otherhand, we could see someone be more cryptic like the Cloud leaker, and not realize stuff has been leaked till after.

Which wouldn't be bad imo. I doubt anything else will be leaked in a different way unless they somehow drop the patch early again.

I'd hope they learned their lesson after that. They managed to keep revealing files out of the last update, and Cloud managed to not get leaked (at least, that's what we thought). As long as they don't preemptively upload anything they should be fine.

I don't believe that's what he meant. Wanting the maximum amount of people to enjoy the game and being scared are two different things. People can come to whatever conclusion they want, but considering Cammy and Mika have existed for over a decade I seriously doubt they were afraid of feminists.

And let's be real. Neither of us has numbers to go by, but if you had to compare the possible gained sales and reviews from removing 1 or 2 questionable camera angles vs the sales lost from doing so, what would make more business sense.

Additionally, "can't handle" isnt the same as "not respecting" or "not wanting" or "not accepting", and even then assuming that's it's all America's fault is a bit presumptuous.

And there's always the option of just not putting it in in the first place. People are always complaining when things are removed, but never ask questions when they were put in. Mika was a great character before the butt slap and before they put her in a thong. I was a fan of Mika for years, so it baffled me when people started saying that removing the slap destroyed her character. If people think it takes away from her character then they didn't know her character and, imo, their opinion on the matter is worthless.

Last, we literally have no idea how long the topic was on the table. For all we know Ono asked for an animation, found it questionable, but wanted to both think over it and see how it goes, and decided he didnt want it later; producers make sure things get done on time, they seldom go over every piece of code an animation as they have lead coders and lead animators for that.
