especially when nintendo's actually had 1-6, two of which are considered to be among the franchise's best games

To be fair, while it's not much (at least, not right now), there are a couple examples where they drew from other Final Fantasy games:

-Ifrit's design is much more reminiscent of his FF8 bestial incarnation then FF7's where he was more human-like.
-Chocobo's Mii costume design draws from the Chocobo subseries' design rather then the more animalistic direction of the main games.

Having said that, I do agree that it'd be nice to see some other references to other FF games, even if it's just certain cues like the above two examples.

Simple, SE does that with almost any of their FF characters. They'll trademark the game they originated from, moreso than overall series

It was meant to be a joke about how Shovel Knight came in 2014 while the last date on All-Star is 2013....
Same with the 2015 Inklings.

All I know is, Cloud makes the 1994-1998 set up to 9 characters like what Roy and Lucas did to the set right after.

.....the likes of Wolf, K. Rool, Dixie Kong, and even Squirtle/Ivysaur if we're feeling generous would make the number go up even further. Not sure if want.

But Mewtwo's is not only ditching the whole Veteran Advertisement, but the "Grand Entrance" makes it seem like he's a Newcomer of all things. Not sure why.

On top of that, like I actually brought up on the day the New Content stream first aired, the segment after Roy's trailer where Sakurai talks about them being veterans, the wording he uses ("Of the many fighters from past versions, I hope fans are happy to have back these two that were particularly popular.") suggests that they were chosen out of the remaining Melee and Brawl veterans and could very well be the last veterans who will be added.

This whole thing is pretty much the main reason why some of us think that Wolf (and all other cut veterans for that matter) is not going to be coming back.

I'm terrified by this, my mother knew someone who got killed during the Charlie Hebdo appearance and a friend of her had family around Paris during the attack, she hasn't been able to contact them. It doesn't help the Dutch government is trying to squeeze every penny out of us and give refugees and Greece more priority and money than the Dutch. They wanted to tax everyone who owned a Volkswagen because of the scandal whereas Germany felt like they deserved to get their money back due to being ripped off
