Thing is a Steel type Gym isn't so bad considering how it goes with the the starters...

Resists Grass (Neutral by Grass)

additionally the game could have an early fighting or fire type that can matchup if you pick the less favourable starter...
It would also mean Litten is still best starter

Yeah, no sorry, but Nintendo did say that for them, they would probably never go third party, and before you say anything, do try to remember most of Nintendo's staff are all people who primary skill sets are making games, so I doubt they'd pull out off the console manufacturing business, since Nintendo's creative staff have ALWAYS beat to the sound of their own drum.

Plus something to note, a product does not have to sell extremely well, having a product sell moderately does more then enough to sustain a company. So Nintendo doesn't need to have its stuff sell like its a PS2, just having their own systems chug along gaining moderate success is more then enough to sustain its self.

Nintendo says a lot of things. Like that the Wii U will be successful. Companies will never admit to the possibility of doing something that might tarnish their image. Basic PR common sense

And at what point did I say moderate successes wouldn't sustain their consoles? Nintendo's problem is that they are not even getting that, their success in the console market has diminished to the point they are failing in that market. If the NX continues this, then they will likely have to move on from home consoles - actually scratch that, they won't have to, but they'll want to themselves.

This stuff isn't really debatable. Basic economic laws effect all companies, not even giants like Disney and Nintendo can afford to go against them, as it is impractical.

I understand wanting to have faith, and I hope the NX does well too. But I'm just being realistic.

Flash v. Quicksilver was the last one that released either today or yesterday, they did Bowser v. Ganon not too long ago...

The Joker is confirmed for the next one within a couple weeks...they haven't revealed who his opponent will be yet though...

In terms of The Joker's opponents...I'm at a loss actually...Green Goblin does seem the most fitting, though he's about as well equipped as Batman but without a merciful compassion...which is something the Joker takes advantage of quite a bit in Batman...he won't be able to with the Grenn Goblin...

Carnage was actually the first one that came to mind as well though that'll be even more lopsided methinks...

Yes, the new season already started months ago. Flash vs Quicksilver (an extremely one-sided fight) just came out today and Joker's fight will happen in three weeks thanks to the reveal. We probably won't find out his opponent until the week after next.

I didn't really have too much of an issue with her, either. I was willing to just accept it and learn how to fight her.

They both sold 2.5 million copies each.

I've kinda heard the SEGA tales, but every time a little more of the picture gets absorbed into my head and every Nintendoomed just temporarily shoves it all back out again.

I'm just having a while of being extra sensitive to Nintendoomery after I snapped a bit reading the same-old and I'm not quite in proper mental shape to not crumple under it's reemphasis yet.

Anything that a speaker files under realism has been an issue for me for a long while, anyway. I always seem to figure out the best ways to internally transform it into full-blown pessimism and beat myself over the head with it to the point where the only reason I know it isn't pessimism is because that's what I've been told.


At any rate, I did have a more positive musing in between mopes. . .

On the off chance Nintendo adds a trophy/achievement type system, I'm going to guess that they'll call theirs Badges. I'm not sure how that'll work with Badge Arcade, although I did have the idea at one point that they could let you use your achievements as those types of badges to decorate your home menu, but AC:NL and Pokemon both use the same term, so it seems like the most logical choice if they did spring for it.
