Here's something i've thought about for the past couple of days that can start up a fun discussion. What if Brawl had the same kind of DLC Smash 4 got? Assume that the same cycle happens with this DLC meaning that it starts in August of 2008 and ends in April of 2009. Also assume that a Ballot is placed in here so Bayonetta is automatically out due to not existing at this point of time. These 7 characters consist of...

It's literally just a texture pack with skins and a pre-made world with music from the series.
Been that way with the Mass Effect, Skyrim and Halo mash ups.

Still nice regardless.

Been doing some digging lately after watching a video that mentioned an Xbox exclusive title 'from the makers of Metroid Prime'
ReCore, which actually looks like a pretty good game, looks to be in some post-apocalyptic sci-fi world with robo dogs, if it weren't restricted to Microsoft I might've considered getting it...(maybe if it comes to PC)
Of course 'makers' does not equal 'studios' especially since Retro has gone through many changes since making Metroid Prime...

anyway, that's not the purpose of this post...while digging I found this article, the date says 2012 so it's old news but it brings up an interesting subject that may become relevant within the next couple of years depending...

What are people's thoughts on a future Zelda title being developed by Retro Studios?

Metroid Prime is easily my favourite game of all time, while the Legend of Zelda is arguably my favourite franchise, so I definitely think it'd be pretty cool...Retro did a decent job with the Donkey Kong games as well...It would definitely show the increasing importance of Retro studios as a major subsidiary developer...

I worry. I mean, they already closed up, like, every plotline with the Big Picture Movie, what are they even gonna do in this one? No Kankers, no being the most hated scammers this side of the Cul-De-Sac... I don't see how they can make this good without messing it up...

I do admit that the Big Picture Movie, while only being a TV movie, had some jokes I enjoyed.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. Normally it'd terrify me given the recent PPG and TTG, but considering they brought up right there that they wanted to avoid a reboot to avoid a quality drop? That shows integrity I think. Hope it goes well.

So Sonic Shorts Volume 8 Widescreen is now up. I know I've already gushed about Paradox, but no one can stop me. Since they said in the comments for Seaside Denied HD that the team will "go dark" and put top priority into finishing their upcoming projects when 8 Widescreen uploaded, I think it's a good time for me to express my thoughts about said projects.

Interview with Aaron Webber regarding the Sonic 25th Birthday Party.

He couldn't go into too much detail, but he confirmed a few things:

-Claims that they are working hard to ensure there is a lot do at the event and that you should never just be standing around in boredom once you leave the queue
-You will receive a free goody bag with merchandise while coming in from the queue
-They are looking to get demo kiosks for Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice
-They are looking to sell merchandise at the event, most notably, the upcoming Classic style character plushies from TOMY are going to be sold there before they hit store shelves, as a test run for the product
-Multiple special guests will be in attendance, though he couldn't confirm who. He may have hinted that some of the guests lined up for Summer of Sonic will also be at this event
-The same 25th Anniversary Silver Coin that was previously announced for Summer of Sonic, will also be at this event, and the design will be shown off soon
-There will be contests, with a cosplay contest like with previous Sonic Boom concert events being confirmed. They want to bring back the trivia quiz too but it may not make the cut as they have so many other things planned for the day.
-They are trying to make sure there is a livestream of the event for people at home to watch.

And he keeps re-iterating that if you at all feel like you have the ability to go to the event, you really should, as apparently it will be an "unforgettable, once in a lifetime" experience. So I think it's safe to say, something involving the 25th Anniversary game will be at this event, be it a World Premiere, or even demo kiosks.

He also took some off topic questions, mostly his opinions on the fanbase, and stuff like why he posts memes and what not, and just a few joke questions.

I'd also like to add that I myself bought a ticket to this event on impulse the day the tickets went on sale, but later realised it would not be possible for me to attend. I still have this ticket and there is a "transfer ticket to new e-mail" option on the Universe website, meaning I can give it to someone else. So if anyone is interested, I am open to either selling it for $25 (same price as the official price, but you actually avoid the $2.70 service fee from Universe), or doing some sort of bargain (like an eShop or Steam voucher, or some kind of trade). It's been 17 years since the release of Smash 64, this year's November 21st will mark 15 years since the relase of Smash Bros Melee, it's been 8 years since the release of Brawl, and to top it all of, this year's June 11th will make 3 years since we first saw the first Smash Bros 4 trailer.
