OK I can understand him being a little upset over smash, but Star fox looking worse? Honestly Smash was really the only thing (besides the bare bones footage of Mario Tennis ultra smash, but that's so bland it doesn't count) that didn't get me super hyped during the direct. The Star Fox delay is a bit annoying since its April instead of March like we all thought, but Star Fox looks better than it did at E3 by a long shot. Speaking of which the new Splatoon map launches in 10 minutes, so hype for the new map, but I fear its going to be a pain in ranked.

Cloud also seems to be at an advanced stage of development, so if the English trailer didn't have English VO, it's pretty much a red flag in regards to him being English dubbed.

It's possible they couldn't get the original voice actor and couldn't find a suitable replacement. It also saves on budget, as it's one less voice actor they have to pay.

Like you said, there's Ryu.

And there's Lucina, Robin, Chrom, Shulk, Palutena, Pit, Dark Pit, Doc Louis and Wii Fit Trainer who all had their Japanese and English VO recorded in time for their appearance in trailers.

The E3 2014 demos also had English voice over done for characters such as Greninja, Fox and Pit, in addition to having the announcer as featured in the final game, suggesting that both Japanese and English VO is done beforehand.

In fact, Xander Mobus himself stated he did the recording session in March 2014. The 3DS version of the game was released in September 2014 in Japan.

Yah, that's why I said sometimes. That said, it's generally not rocket science; you're greatly over-complicating the necessary social knowledge necessary to make a decent decision. If no one is in any immediate danger, then there's not much reason to break etiquette. If there's a possible threat that needs to be taken care of first, then screw etiquette because you need to be alive to mourn. If people find it difficult to make a decision then that's mostly likely just them needing to talk to others more instead of just analyzing them; believe me, I used to over analyze everything.

I think that's why Sonic Boom is the worst. It may be objectivley better in a couple of areas but Law of averages means Sonic 06's great soundtrack elevates it to the "terrible, but" level.

Still regarding Cloud and his voice, the last time the English language voice actor did the role of Cloud was in 2011.

Contrast with the other DLC voice actors such as Kyle Hebert (Ryu, English), Takahiro Sakurai (Cloud, Japanese) and Jun Fukuyama (Roy), who are still very active in voicing for video games and anime.

Kyle Hebert is voicing Ryu again in SF5 and has been the English language voice actor for the character since SF4, voicing him for all sorts of crossovers and cameos. Fukuyama and Sakurai have roles in currently airing anime and are fairly active in their career.

Naturally, it was easier to get them on board for Smash, which doesn't require a lot of voice acting in the first place.

Going by how Sakurai (the Smash director, not the VA) has stated he was a "difficult request" to handle, it's possible they didn't want to spend more resources than strictly necessary.

Just my two cents on the whole Cloud voice subject. I think he'll only have Japanese VO like Marth and Roy.

Game starts VERY rough, don;t expect DT where the game starts smoothly with a pleasant intro, no you have a toad and a luigi being in the castle.....attic? tryign to chase a mouse. The game LITTERALLY being like this after shwoing the castle, it is very rough.

Ok so the mystery of did he opened or knoecked the book is solved. What happened is he fell on the floor, he sneezed which made him jump back, knock the bookshelf and so the famous book just fell due to the shock and opened itself. He never opened the book, I think it was @PushDustIn that translated the famitsu that said that, but no, he never opened the book, treehouse was right

There;s some cs where the paper enemies meets the "non paper" one. the goomba one is quite funny, he is doing a formation and he sees the paper goombas and he is wondering if they got new recruits

The paper peach fell near the luigi and toad so they go back to the throne room of the castle with peach, mario and starlow and ......they freak out because.......well the E3 scene happens there. Following a strange conversation that yt captions translation botched COMPLETELY but mario and luigi are in love with paper peach WHAT?

Anyway, after the little talk, you go to the hall and this is where you ahve to find 8 paper toads. They are hidden in the decor (3 are even in a duo block) and then some talking that I don;t get and then nabbit appears on the left room and steals items, the toad manages to save a shell and a fireflower which they give to you. Back to the hall, talking talking and then the paper toads you saved gives you the copy block, do not ask, idk. Oh and you see toadette with that mini papercraft, I guess she jsut loves the toys or?

You go outside and then you talk to the lakitu, idk what ghe says, but we know why he's there anyway.

Heal block heals hp AND bp, seems to be free.

On the map to the right you meet 2 paper goombas which they........fold........anyway you battle them and then SURPRISE,. A REMIX OF THE SUPERSTAR SAGA BATTLE THEME IS PLAYING!!!!

It;s not the main battle theme, my theory is only before paper mario joins, but still I didn't liked much superstar saga ost, except the batle theme is one that I really liked with how catchy it was and how happy it sounded.

a quick note, VERY MINIMAL TUTORIAL, I think it was a complain for DT, but the first battle doesn;t have this much, but the video stopped there so idk if it;s maintained.

While I dont know if Cloud is pre-ballot or not, I think people are wrongly assuming that development on any ballot characters would only start after the ballot ended; it's a suggestion box, not an actual vote. It doesnt take that long to see trends in ballot data and start making the necessary business calls to see if the choice is viable. Honestly, I think that 2.5-3 months into the ballot is more than enough time to wait before starting on the first ballot character.

I mean really what do people think:
