Just as long as they don't go too crazy and make Link a Universe Buster. I can't imagine any Legend of Zelda character being anything stronger than planet busting.

I don't know if I'd buy it, but I'd sure as heck be sitting to one side eating a bag of popcorn from announcement onwards.

DQ 8 is pretty good, and has a dragon Ball Z based edit in the US version. Character goes super saiyan

DQ 9 is a pretty solid version. So much so I bought 2 copies (I thought I lost the first one actually)

Those two are going to be the friendliest to newcomers IMO

All I want out of most 3rd parties is to just bring all their major franchises to the NX.

A crossover won't sell as many NX's as say Final Fantasy 15 or Kingdom Hearts 3 would.

DQ 8 has characters that are set in their class but their abilities are based on character trees so you can customize your characters that way

DQ 9 is class based like DQ 3 (Which was my favorite Dragon Quest for a long time) where you get generic warriors you customize their appearance and name and choose their class, then later in the game you can change their class over and over to customize them through that.

DQ 8 is more character based while DQ 9 is hired mercenaries you create so they have no character, but you can fully customize how they look

Making Zelda playable only works if you make her story and possibly even her gameplay, completely different.

Linkle and Aryll work as a female equivalent to Link because they currently don't have a role and backstory in the extended lore of the franchise. Basically, these two would be used if they simply want to give a a playable female that stands in for Link.

Holy ****. Apparently, Zach Snyder didn't like stuff like Batman Begins, which is completely cool, opinions are a thing. But he didn't like seeing Batman's parents get killed. You CAN'T change that, it's a part of Batman that EVERYONE knows. He also apparently said that Batman should be prison *****. Granted, I'm looking at text without context, but given his record with superhero stuff, can we just slap him on the wrist whenever he tries to touch a superhero thing?

Of course there are differences, that comes with the fact that they are rendered in completely different styles, one very detailed and one very simplistic.

But it's pretty obvious that Linkle is inspired by Aryll since the original concept art book for HW stated that Linkle was envisioned as a "sister-like" figure for Link.

They probably would have flat out made Linkle Link's sister in HW, if it weren't for the Zelda bible rule of "Link's sister has to be Aryll".
