So I've been wondering something since yesterday, and I figure since Smash character selection discussion comes up whether we bring up hypothetical new games or not and is usually negative to an extent rather than positive, I may as well get it out.

Are there any characters that they could add to a hypothetical future Smash Bros that would make you actively hyped? Like, not just nodding about how they deserved the spot or something, but make you actually excited?

I feel like we focus so much on what we DON'T like that there isn't all that much discussion on what would have us on the edge of our seats squeeing like maniacs.

So how about it? Are there any characters that would make you super duper ooper excited to see them if they were added at some point?

Something from a Legendary Trio(I can't choose,maybe Suicune?)Hector,Lyn,and Midna.

I had a dream where depending on which door you entered, this store became themed differently. The entire store. One was normal, and the other had a German theme thing.

Me and some other people tried to figure out why that was, and I jokingly came up with the theory of "Time Travel". That you travel 4 minutes in the future and within that 4 minutes magical fairies come and quickly change everything in the store to reflect the new theme. Although I was joking, when testing it we did start to notice differences in time, etc. It seemed to be me testing it and a bunch of scientists including Bill Nye the science guy.

At the end some hippies heard what we were testing and called us stupid and insane.

Though I agree the butt-faced imp is quite the oddball from Yo-Kai Watch. He was designed by a 12 year old, but based on a yokai that can destroy towns with his farts alone.

I know right? Who's idea was it to put a literal butt-faced monstrosity in a kids game/anime for some cheap laughs. Yo-Kai is why!

Like Wario, he's to blame for the Crude Humor label (or even the entire E+10 rating) for Yo-Kai Watch. The episode that dealt with him was pretty hilarious, Robonyan giving him a taste of his own farts with gassy sweet potatoes.

Not that I blame ANY of you, IIRC he's darn near the only recurring character from a major series that's been both playable and story important at various points in his series that we have LEFT.

There are quite a few other characters that came up several times as well across all of these various posts, but he seemed to stick out a little bit. Maybe it's just that his name being longer makes him easier to notice, though.

Zael, King K. Rool, Dixie Kong, Ganon, Bandanna Dee, Fiora, Reyn, Melia, Dunban, Simon Belmont, Alucard, Raiden, Zero, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, Cecil, Terra, Amaterasu, Phoenix Wright, Strider Hiryu, Crash, Spyro, and probably more that I haven't listed.

Yes, I fully realize that most of these characters have little to no chance.

Kind of hard to say for me really. I already have 3 of my hypest characters in, so I dont dwell too much on it. But heres a list

-Daisy
-Toad
-Waluigi
-Slurpuff
-Braixen
-Dewott

And thats it. My gaming is dedicated to Mario and Pokemon really, and these are some of my select favorites. However, I get hyped for all the newcomers, so it doesnt really matter to me. Theres no point in time, where Ill say "This character didnt deserve to get in, so Ill be salty about it".

1-Simon Belmont: Look, i made a Simon Belmont thread all by myself (shameless plug? what's that?). My faboyism and bias towards Simon Belmont goes beyond all cosmos and frontiers.

2-King K.Rool: *Insert on of us video here*

3-Waluigi: Have you ever wanted a character not because of moveset potential or importance, but rather just because of your attachment to him/her? Waluigi is one of those characters for me.

4-Wolf: I really don't need to explain myself here.

There's a lot of other characters that i want (Isaac, Takamaru) but these 4 wil make me hyped without question.

Depends on what kind of hype? If we're talking about the kind of hype that would make me lose my **** more than Nicolas Cage then these characters would accomplish that:

There are a ton of other characters that would make me happy though. Waluigi, Paper Mario, Toad/Captain, Tetra, pretty much any Pokemon, Inklings, Fiora, Balloon Fighter, Morrigan, Slippy, Peppy, Krystal, Badge Arcade Bunny. At this point, pretty much anyone that isn't a boring sword user.

I should also clarify that the characters on my list have two conditions:

1) I can actually come up with decent ideas for how they would play by myself
2) I think they at least have a small sliver of a shot at getting in

I'd lose it if Crash or Spyro showed up, but I don't think that will ever happen, and I honestly just want a PSASBR sequel with them in it.

Not many, I got pretty much everyone I wanted after Megaman.

Honestly I don't want another Smash for at least another 4 years. I woudn't mind if this were the last one. There's almost... too many characters for me. I get a little overwhelmed.

So my ideal roster would be removing some characters, and adding others in.

Remove:
1. Mii Fighters (They were cool, but I think they only need to be in this one game)
2. Lucina (Make her an alt costume)
3. Dark Pit (Alt Costume)
4. Ryu (I know, I know. But I think of him like a Nintendo guest character in Tekken 2. Just a cool thing for 1 game)
5. Dr Mario (Make Alt again)

Add:
1. Ice Climbers (Rework to make them slightly better, no infinite grab)
2. Banjo Kazooie
3. King K Rool
4. Rayman
5. Wolf (I'm not a huge fan, but bring him back for his fans)

P.S I went to my first local tourney the other night! Beat 3 people who didn't really know how to play, then got bodied by a really good Bowser player. I'll never take Bowser lightly again! :0
