I guess i'm the only one that liked the N64 controller. Minus the times where I had to frantically rotate the control stick in Mario Party lol.

That's exactly what ended up happening.

You never know man. Isaac may have come up short though that's not saying that he was a huge amount far off from Bayo. Could be the case yeah but I want to be optimistic about things.

It's still rather unsettling that Bayonetta was #1 in the Ballot despite being #27 on that poll. What I mean by that is that even though Isaac was #4 on that poll he was beat by a character that was 23 places below him leading me to believe that his placement on the actual Ballot may not be as impressive as it was in this poll. I don't want to believe that but there's a possibility of that happening.

Either that or Sakurai's criteria of "unrealizable" is so vague and unclear that he can pick and choose who he wants to be unrealizable and who is realizable . That's mostly the conspiracy theorist in me talking here but still. Makes me wonder who the so called "unrealizable characters" were that beat Bayonetta in the Ballot. Just sayin.

Unrelated but Andy placed #41 on this poll (being very close to making the 4th page) which is actually decent for a series that hardly gets any attention or exposure (given that there was 438 Characters in this poll). Maybe that coupled in with the Wars series history on Nintendo consoles will work to help Andy's chances somewhat.

All things considered, Bayonetta probably scored higher on the actual ballot for another reason on top of the echo chamber.

I can actual attest to the first thing you said. I voted for Roy the moment the Smash Ballot was announced before the April 15 leaks and knowing that Roy would come in to Smash 4 without the Ballot. I ended up voting for multiple characters like Isaac, Snake, Andy and all those votes were most likely invalidated because of my actions.

If only we all knew about Roy and Ryu before the Ballot was announced...

I would say Eggman is easily more iconic than Ganondorf. The general public are way more exposed to him what with TV shows, comics, and merchandise, and he has a much more consistent design, even in the few instances where it was tweaked. He's also usually front and centre for the entirety of a game, as opposed to Ganondorf who only appears at the start, end, and maybe the middle in some cases. Plus there's the association with an egg making him easy to recognise.

EDIT: Yup, for a non-Nintendo fan, Sonic is more recognisable than Zelda.
So the main villain of one should easoly be recognised more than the guy who only appears at the end of some main games.

I'd still rank Ghost Gang over relatively niche things like M. Bison.

I actually had a male Gardevoir back in the day and didn't think it was that weird, mainly because I saw Gardevoirs as being magelike and mages don't have to be female. Plus, it's not like there's anything wrong with being a feminine guy (or masculine gal).

I guess that with Gardevoir, it just looks very feminine, so I often found it awkward for it to be either gender. Gallade's debut in the 4th generation at least resolved the issue to an extent, as it's a male only species.

In a similar manner, Froslass was presumably made to be Glalie's female counterpart, but even then, Glalie's gender can either be male or female.
