As much as I dislike Boom for pretty much helping bring back the "Sonic is horrible" public mindset thanks to crap like Lyric and the questionable redesigns, I do think the show itself gets too much flack.

It's harmless and enjoyable.

I hate to say this but:

Adventure Time was a mistake. It started a bad trend in animation where that stick figure style/simplistic look has really turned into a bland trend.

I want my realistic feel or go full blown westaboo feel

Or screw it, just watch Sonic Boom.

Yep, it's that good
Xaolin Showdown? Is this a reboot or something?.
Nah.
It isn't AS formulaic.
And it does diversify combat better.

Though this won't stop being an apt comparison.
When does Part 4 gets animated again? This image already sold me more than anything Part 3 had to offer so far

However it's pretty much Persona 4 with the Slice of Life feel, murder mystery and the killer being a normal guy.

Except lessTV jumping, waifus and social links.

Although this was the inspiration for P4

I honestly don't see a lot of hate for the show.

I thought the general consensus was that it's good and the best thing to come out of the Boom franchise.

Sounds amazing! Speaking of, a friend of mine is trying to hunt down Persona 4, but the European version is nowhere to be found for him

I think it's going to be a Fall 2016 show.

XS never had a reboot. It ended in 2006 and that's it. Nothing more, nothing less

I know what you're talking about but no wants to mention Chronicles in the fanbase. It was the ultimate monkey paw and while it tried to continue off the original series, it did more harm to the original series than leaving an garbage cliffhanger with Rai being the leader (which they retconed).

Yosuke > Josuke though.
Bro, you tripping. Yu and Josuke is the better comparison.

But Kanji is the best.
This is why I have trust issues
It's coming in April. Don't believe anything else

I was wrong because I don't have a real interest in Part 4. PERSONALLY second weakest of the 7 parts I've read and didn't pay much attention to the news.

I know.
But they don't have similar names and therefore loses the comical aspect of the comparison.

I found out they did this when Jojo first got dubbed
There was a problem fetching the tweet
He may no longer say WRYYYYYYYYY but this alone makes Dub Dio on par with OGDio
I will STAND by the dub of Battle Tendency.
If for no other reason than Nigel friggin Uno is Joseph.
While the Engrish is out, THEY DAMN WELL REPLACE IT.

WHAT THE HELL DID YOU SAY ABOUT HIS HAIR?

Just started watching SAO.

It starts off well enough, at least.
That's all it takes.

But that fall. It isn't like any other show because you think the fall is over then it just keeps going but at rapid speed.

RIP Sonicbrawler's sanity

Rememver how it was, like, good for one, maybe two episodes?
Yeah, that was nice

All I know about the latest one is that Kirito becomes a girl because they clealry didn't have enough waifu bait already so they made the second-best thing for people that say "I like traps but I don't like guys"

Pretty sure that was just an excuse to see Sinon in her underwear.

The PPG reboot pisses me off for one reason and one reason only.

Tara Strong was refused when wanting to come back as Bubbles.

That poor girl IDENTIFIES as Bubbles. Like I'm serious, Bubbles means more to her than any other character she's voiced in her life time because she was so much like Tara when she was young. This is nothing against the new voice cast, far from it, I don't think they're terrible. But Tara nearly cried when they just wouldn't let her do Bubbles again. She would have done it for dirt cheap even. It's irritating to me that a studio would do that.

It just makes me worry about the show when someone who loves and cherishes the character like herself is denied any involvement.
Is there a source for this madness?

You know, I don't have the highest standards when it comes to anime. I do watch a lot of mediocre stuff, but it's for plain fun. Sometimes, a cliché shounen action show can be entertaining.

You know SAO is bad when I found it to be a disappointment. Me, the guy who has low standards and doesn't take entertainment that seriously, found SAO to be crap.

Though I do enjoy it when a show pulls off some intricate and well-written narrative with interesting characters. However, I feel that complaining about every anime not having such kind of depth comes off as elitist.

It's like saying that a video game like Smash Bros. isn't good because it's not "artistic", you know?

This said, I do think that anime could be a more respectable medium and there's a lot of room for improvement in that regard. Video games, for example, are a reference in how a medium can grow to be respectable.

Well I'm watching it because of the controversy, guys. :p

Not looking forward to SAO2 since I've heard uncomfortable things about that.

But so far it's decent. I can definitely see why people get hooked. The concept is a winner.

Also the soundtracks is noteworthy so far too.

That's the third season. Kirito didn't really become a girl so much as he randomly got the female-looking avatar. He however pretended to be a girl to find out more information on his quest to find the murderer. As well as get the money he needs to do stuff properly in the game. He never literally even said what his gender was so much as let them assume.

After that bit, the season does legit get better. Until the final ending, which was basically all the issues of Season 2.

I've seen every season dub-wise, so I can say that while a lot of it is bad(first two seasons are awful), the third season is a little better till the ending(the start was kind of bad), and fourth is fairly good.

Smash Bros IS artistic though.

Sakurai has a very clear artistic vision for the game/s. And with Brawl especially, it actually had a narrative.

It's just a different kind of art than say, something like Journey or, To The Moon.

Granted, Smash 4 comes across as more commercial than any other game but still. The vision is still there and it has the most legendary roster.

Just found out that GameStop is accepting preorders for the Hyperkin Wii U ProCube controller. Might resort to them unless the official Hyperkin website decides to restock it.

Now to decide which color to buy (I wish they had it in "Spice" like I used during my GameCube days).

And I've made my decision to NOT buy the Pokkén controller. While nice looking, it's not all that different from the Wii U Pro Controller and it doesn't help that the Pokkén controller is only compatible with that one game.

I guess you could argue that... What I meant by "artistic" (note the quotes!) is that it doesn't have a grand, deep storylines and doesn't really delve into the characters besides some limited characterization, often through simple mannerisms, quotes and moveset concepts.

A lot of the characters' personalities and characterization is lost in Smash due to not focusing on them as much as the original games and the lack of a narrative. Brawl did rectify some of these issues with SSE, but even so that had some limitations.

Yet, it's a fun game, critically acclaimed, boasting an immensely varied roster of characters, both iconic and obscure, from a wide variety of games and differing art styles. It can be played in many different ways and has a lot of work poured into it, with a lot of attention to detail.

Well I'm watching it because of the controversy, guys. :p

It's said winner concept that is thrown aside so quickly that leaves a sour taste for a lot of viewers.

That's my biggest gripe with SAO. It had a very clear premise that is dropped not even half-way through the first series.

Also the soundtracks is noteworthy so far too.
I'll give you that one. Yuki Kajiura rarely disappoints with her music.

I'm still interested in the Powerpuff Girls reboot. Does the fact that the original voice actors and Craig McCracken not being involved concern me? Yes, absolutely. But I do like what I've seen so far, animation errors and odd artstyle aside.

Well I did the whole 3 episode rule.

I'll continue watching, but it's the 3rd episode and I'm already getting the "Kirito is totally a Mary Sue" chills.

Just going to say this, Cartoonetwork has Adventure, TIme, Steven Universe, The Amazing world of gumball, Sonic boom, X and Y( whichh doesn't suck like BW), it's a hell of a lot better then Nick.

The only thing Nick has to truly support them is teen and Toon Nick, which only benefits them because it plays their old shows.

It starts fine...

But just wait. Just you wait.

But seriously, I was thinking the other day of how good SAO could have been if it stayed a psychological thriller with action elements.

And didn't have huge time skips frequently.
It kills it when you skip ahead and Kirito is overleveled as **** by EPISODE FOUR.

Watching a review of Sonichu.

Whenever I see Chris-Chan and the fruits of his labor, I see myself in him. And it scares me. I feel scared of myself, disappointed in myself, and desperate to not be what I see in front of me.

I don't want to be like that anymore. I want to be as far away from that as possible.
