As my last post here for a while, here are two videos that summarises perfectly about why I like Daisy as a character!

And yes, she might be more girly than other tomboys, but she's more energetic and outspoken than Peach will ever be, and I think she has a good shot for Smash 5!

Daisy is arguably a bigger bimbo than Peach because of her old tanned look, yet instead of realizing 'oh **** I post too much about Daisy' you thought 'DAISY RAAAAAAAWR'. I don't want to be a party-pooper, but I do think that memoryman3 should try to bring something more substantial to the thread besides just hammering Daisy down our throats. Bringing the topic of Daisy every time coming here does seem forced.

However, this is a Social thread, meaning there's no such a thing as off-topic discussion, so he's not breaking any rules by bringing up the Daisy topic. Anyone who doesn't want to talk about it is free to ignore it.

Regardless, I also should note that any potential arguments and other issues that arise and count as rule-breaking, those will be dealt with by the staff. Likewise, constantly bringing the same topic an excessive amount of time may be seen as spam.

I find it hard to believe Daisy is a tomboy when:
A) she wears a ****ing dress
B) she has never been portrayed as such in the Mario Kart games(aka the most relevant Mario spinoff she has appeared in)

Honestly, the only conceivable hurtle there really is... well, Sakurai.

I don't mean that in a bad way, and correct me if I'm wrong @PushDustIn or anyone else, but I believe he's said in the past that he has trouble trusting/picturing someone else handling Smash in his place. Yet at the same time, we know how much Smash stresses him out and he has gone on record twice about both Melee and Brawl being the last Smash games, something that obviously didn't end up being the case because stopping Smash would be like stopping Zelda in a lot of ways. Brawl kind of started without him even knowing it, didn't it?

It all really depends on if Sakurai would be willing to keep Smash going under his watch. I don't doubt that either way, Nintendo will keep Smash alive. It's only a matter of if it will or won't be with Sakurai, and how much of an impact not having him may have.

-Is a talented engineer and architect from a very young age.
-Is tough, cool, and collected.
-Has a more mature, deeper voice.
-Has some pretty rough and tumble voice clips in 3D World.
-Nails the biker babe look in Mario Kart.
-Heavy Class/Power Class in spin-offs.

I basically consider "Peach" and "Paper Peach" to be two entirely different characters. I actually quite like Paper Peach, while I am mostly indifferent to normal Peach (and she is unfortunately associated with some insufferable people for me).

Super Mario Adventures Peach is great though too.

People said this about Melee and Brawl too but considering how stupidly successful both versions, their DLC, and Amiibo have been, there's no way in hell this gravy train is stopping at the station. Let's face it, Smash Bros is a franchise that grabs the gaming world by the balls with an icy, iron grip for years at a time and even the most minute details make front page news on gaming websites. Smash Bros has always been a big deal for gaming and it just keeps getting bigger. The franchise now has , Nintendo now officially sponsors big tournaments, Twitch streams for big tournaments are beginning to consistently break six figures in viewers, and freakin' ESPN will soon be broadcasting Smash tournaments on TV around the world. Smash is very quickly getting close to Zelda and Pokemon levels of being a household name. I feel like that says a lot especially when you have characters like who haven't had a game in over a decade but could probably be identified by your typical 10 year old in most developed countries.

I'm really not seeing it, honestly. But then again, I'm thinking more Galaxy Rosalina purely than anything else. I classify her 3D world and Kart appearance as more "peppy" than tomboy. But honestly, even her recent sports attire is still more feminine than what Peach and Daisy wear.

I dunno, I think it's her motherly demeanor that really makes it hard for me to wrap my head around the idea of her being a Tomboy. You have some good points though.

You're assuming that a tomboy has to wholly define someone, when that's not the point of the term.

"Tomboy" is supposed to be a term that is applicable to a person but not something that wholly defines them. Which is the case with Rosalina. She has more than enough elements to make her count as one but it's not the one aspect of her character and it doesn't define her.

Like I said, some games, like 3D World, portray her as rough and tumble in comparison to Peach, among other things.

My fault then. I never really paid much attention to Mario ''canon'' too much, as I feel that it detracts too much from the gameplay, which is top priority for these kinds of games. It's why I enjoy those rallies of Mario Tennis, whilst never really digging deep into the Mario and Luigi series.

Baby Rosalina pretty much destroyed the idea of that storybook anyways, with her gorgeous blonde hair and robotic voice. I think all of the babies need more love...

You know, i once got some complains on the main social thread because my posts were too paper mario ish... to be frank, they could have been so i toned it down a but by talking about other stuff i liked.

no conplains since, seriously, it's not hard to actually be a fanboy, and be good at doing it. I even myself was incredibly (almost overkill) cautious because I know one time or another I would have to tone it down (seriously, i had crazy strat when i was supporting because of this).

Like it's good to show your obsession for something as long as you don't give the impression that you JUST do that which tbh, i was originally scared when I got the OP of his thread because of this reason.

Just be considerate of others when you do that cause it can turn out badly.
