Down by like 20 votes.

Does it matter?

Can't we just be happy that both games are doing well in the polls and when it's amazingly close?

For the record, I didn't vote for either of them.

Funny how the more difficult game is winning in North America, but losing significantly in Asia.

Japan likes Brawl more. Baaaddddd taste. :(

Yup.

Edit: basically why the JP developer community is considered to be in a dork age and was experiencing major shrinkage in 2009.

Not nearly as bad as US's dork age in 1983.

Drop the anvil on this thread please. Seriously. NOW. Thank you.

Hmm...might have to get 4chan in on this poll for melee.
No way are we gonna lose to brawl!
1) They aren't your personal army.
2) They'd vote Brawl anyways. As a collective they dislike people who take the series "too seriously."

Doesn't that sound quite ironic considering the fact that Nintendo used to hide its hard games from the U.S. because they thought we were the inferior gamers? haha

heres why this poll doesnt matter:
It has WWF Smackdown in the 1st round.

I love me some wrasslin' games, but none of them are even CLOSE, like not even top 50 of the decade.

dumb poll is dumb, 13 year olds will ensure brawl wins, melee is better than brawl and anyone over the age of 15 knows it.

Difficulty by region says hi. Many games that come over here got higher in difficulty.
Let's name the more known games that got more difficult when coming from Japan to the US/Europe:

Castlevania 3
The Adventures of Bayou Billy/Mad City
Ninja Gaiden 3
Devil May Cry 3
Metal Gear Solid
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Sparkster
Metroid Fusion
Contra: Hard Corps

And then Keiji Inafune will usher in Rescue from the Scrappy Heap.

Too bad Melee lost, but hey, at least it was close as hell. Definitely show's that not everyone loves Brawl.
