I wish there was a people version of dog food. All the nutrients I need, and I can just pour it in a bowl and it's ready to eat. Get a Shiny coat too.

When I was younger, one of the reasons why I loved playing Sonic games was for the awesome music. Even today, I find myself listening to classic Sonic soundtracks not only for nostalgia, but because I really do think some of them are really awesome.

And that passion for VGM has lead me to liking chiptunes. Ahhh, those nostalgic 8-bit tunes~

Is it just me or does a lot of modern pop songs seem to have chiptune/8-bit influences? I find that reeeaally ironic as, back, then, creating chiptunes was for the nerdiest of the nerds. Not only that, but a lot of what chiptune is about is pushing old hardware/technology to its limitations, thus creating awesome and complex tunes that were never imaginable. To me, having modern/advance technology making those 8-bit beats kinda defeats the purpose, loosing its appeal in those pop songs. Oh well... I'm done with my little chiptune rant =P
I love vg music, between dk, zelda, chrono trigger, mega man and sonic. (and songs like "short change hero" and "ain't no rest for the wicked" got me into the bands)

One thing about video game music that I like is that includes all genre's of music, from classical (eternal sonata), rock (sonic), and jazz (dk)

How you doing croph

Also that reminds me once someone I know went to Shake Shack and got the dog food from the menu. He ate it too. You don't need a people version.

Man, I used to love those. I ate them every day for maybe years? I DUNNO WHAT HAPPENED, but eventually my stomach just literally couldn't handle them. Would eat half of one and I'd feel like throwing up. I MEAN I STILL EAT POP-TARTS, but just those ones specifically I still can't deal with.

Hindsight is always 20/20
I thought that back then bro.
Well personal peeves meant a lot to Sakurai when it came to tripping. Though Snake's inclusion isn't as bad as tripping. But Sakurai does still consider which characters are deserving and which aren't. As for not caring about what Nintendo is peeved about, I gotta disagree. The dude has to make sure the models and moves comply with Nintendo's in-house devs. Game Freak in particular has been described as a pain in the ***.
Nah, Sakurai I think is his own boss. His company is more or less just him, and he literally controls one of Nintendo's 3 biggest money making IP's on home consoles (the other 2 being Mario Kart and canon Mario games). If Nintendo does to him what they did 10 years ago, he's gone. Heck, Sony would be wise to throw millions of dollars his way to make PlayStation All-Stars 2 Superstars. We call that "negotiating power."
Well Sakurai is making this game for the fans first and foremost. So regardless if he dislikes a company, he is still going to comply since it is all for fans/consumers.
To an extent. If they are holding back the game, he will stop pushing. He seems to have a bit more of confidence when it comes to such things. After how well Brawl sold (about 11 million copies), Nintendo knows he is an important asset who literally can sell millions of consoles with one game alone.
Well of course over time they will get either/both system(s), but in the context of MGS V release I doubt the install base will rival the 360/PS3. Regardless if Kojima is his own man, he is still a businessman. All companies in this transition between generations see the benefit of supporting both consoles. Heck Rockstar isn't even bothering to to make PS4/Xbox1 version.
Well Rockstar is trying to just use the max versions of current consoles, and to get the largest consumer base. As it stands right now, the WiiU owners will be around 10 million at the end of the year, with maybe like 10% of them interested in getting GTA V for the WiiU (even less for MGS V). I can see why both those games will be held back until more people own a WiiU.
OMG the 8G... this was really pitiful on Nintendo's part The have the cash to put more into the system too..
During GDC Kojima discussed how the new Fox Engine was scalable between platforms. So the transition between PS4 to PS3 won't be too difficult.
Like I said earlier, scale down what is being processed and maybe some of the graphics, and the WiiU could be good. However, in order to be able to do that, Konami needs to know that the WiiU has enough owners to warrant such a port, as well as a good number of people willing to buy MGS V.

And yeah, I keep suggesting to Nintendo to do what they did with DK64 (upgrade that thing). At least do 4-6GB. Heck, a 8GB WiiU processor would do wonders for Nintendo. Could you imagine what that could do for the console=??? Honestly, I think the somewhat lackluster processing is why we won't see 6 player smash this gen.

Personally, I'd prefer if they were endorsed by Supa Hot Fire
and the tag line would be: Sike! That's The Wrong Pastry!

I think it is more because those kind of songs were inspired by older pop songs from the 60's and 70's. Koji Kondo, for instance, was a huge 60's British Pop fan.
Tbh, I don't know that much about 60s and 70s pop, but you could be right.

Though, here's some examples of pop songs (though, instrumental) that I hear on the radio actually. If you listen carefully, you can hear what I think is chiptune inspired melodies...if you understand where I'm coming from. Whether inspired by it or not, chiptune first came into my mind when I heard these songs lol.

I don't mind if chiptunes are slipping into mainstream... it's just that, like I've said before, I find the whole thing kinda ironic.

Yeah, it's true that VGM includes various genres of music, especially depending on the Video game. Just look at Jet Set Radio! I love its funk/hip hop late 90s/early 2000s soundtrack.

And I'm very busy this summer, but I'm doing fine. Thanks for asking. How about you?

Man, this thread moves too fast for me sometimes. O.o I'm such a slow typer D:

I feel like people liking Fat Man's post means it was some sort of reference that they got, which makes me think Dinty Moore Beef Stew is not an actual suggestion.

Or maybe they are just big fans of Dinty Moore Beef Stew.

Maybe that post gave them nostalgia of their mothers preparing for them Dinty Moore Beef Stew in their childhood.
