The few people degrading Melee are stupid; we're talking a game literally over a decade older than all of these games ranking up their with them with no sponsorship hype (like Injustice, Skullgirls, MK, MvC, SFxT, and UMvC3 got via either WB Games, Capcom, or the Skullgirls developers).
That's pretty epic that Melee pulled that, especially without being at Evo for 6 years, and by bringing a different audience, as well as setting the FG livestream record until UMvC beat it by just under 5k (congratz to them on that record; they have a great competitive scene).
Did anyone see Justin Wong's comeback just now?? What a huge momentum shift.
Justin Wong's original fighting game he loved=??? Smash 64 and Melee.
Congrats to him on making 2nd at UMvC3 in an incredible finals after almost not entering pools to go swim in pools!
For all you first timers; read the tourney rules.
I never shake hands at tournaments; I only give hugs.
Just wanna say your quotes of my views of the final results was awesome.
As it turns out, Mango solidifies his place as the best Melee player ever and most clutch smasher ever with his incredible war path in losers' at Evo, ending by revenging his one lost set by winning two sets to a largely overlooked player in dominating fashion. That is how you win it!
