Well, I'm pretty sure that the whole Race of the Future thing will most likely play out in the future, so race-specific issues I think have a natural expiration date once the lines between races have blurred enough.

So, y'know, even if we don't get our shiz together, at least it will eventually become a moot point and we'll move onto hating each other on some other arbitrary criteria.

Slavery is so old that it's found in Genesis of the Bible. even then, the treatment of slaves has varied greatly both by individual and culture throughout history. Racism was never about slavery. Racism is because people are afraid of people who don't look and think like them. Then, to make things worse, you had things like scientific racism which tried to use science to justify the superiority of some race.

Er, not to stray away from the topic, but if Fire Emblem gets a stage for the Wii U version of Smash, what stage would you like it to be? And where from?
Personally, I'd go with Nox Castle from Radiant Dawn, mostly cause it doesn't seem like a castle at all, and you might be able to see the Greil Mercenaries face the Dawn Brigade in the background (best background ever)

I even made a stage of it in SSBB, its large and three-tiered. It reminds me of Temple.

Well, that's the dichotomy... Interesting things breed conflict while monotony comes with calmness.

I'm not sure there are actually that many people actively going "Oh yay I can't wait until all of our differences are meshed together!", I'm just saying that it's fairly inevitable in the long, long, long run.

Cultural differences are already being blurred away as things move towards a more homogeneous global culture, largely thanks to information being spread around so quickly and easily with the internet and other modern advances in communications technology.

If that does happen, it will only be temporary. Races started out with everyone being "Black". However, a group of humans left sub-Saharan Africa and populated the Earth. Over time, thanks to environmental differences, changes in appearance were made, giving us the different races. A relatively more recent example of this divergence are Asians and Native Americans (and by extension a generous number of Hispanics).

So anyway, if the races converge once more, they'll diverge again eventually. Race, in reality, is a social construct.

Doubt it. Without the aid of scientific advancements and what have you, you can only have a child made with a man and a woman. However, this does not mean that a child must be raised by a man and a woman. Children can be raised by a single father, single mother, gay couples, lesbian couples, etc. and come out just fine.

On another note, just saying that Olimar was the last character I expected them to announce as the first returning veteran. I was really expecting Yoshi, or Zelda or even Wario. I'm happy about it though, even though I don't particularly like playing as him. He's a cool character, kind of like Villager.

Never saw the appeal in that. At least SMT has SOME things other than "they're medieval and use swords and magic11!!" in common with FE.
Gimme a 3D crossover with a franchise that MAKES SENSE, and on all for a Zelda crossover.

His eggs should have a better aiming system. Like in the original Yoshi's Island, but this should require you to hold the button down for it to work, or otherwise not allow proper aiming when using it in the air, so that way it won't screw up the little boost it gives when trying to use it to recover.

Yeah that's one thing I've never. . . really got, many times I remember there being an ellipsis where it is implied Link has spoken. TWW, MM, OoT, TP. WAIT A MINUTE HAVEN'T THERE BEEN DIALOGUE TREES BEFORE?!??

I'm thinkin' that it wouldn't throw based on enemy %, but just make them go as far as the actual egg throw normally does (or less). But that mostly only works if the egg throw is still at that weird arc instead of throwing them at any angle in front of him like you could in Yoshi's Island.

To be fair, I've never enjoyed playing as Yoshi so I feel fine just throwing out random crap that I think would be fun to see instead of actually focusing on improving the character.
