Eff Nintendo; I'm not getting a WiiU and 3DS until this is reversed, Smash WiiU and 3DS or no Smash WiiU and 3DS.

NoA is just upset there is more excitement for a decade old game being at an event than the Wii U. Wii U cannot even draw the amount of people attending EVO for Melee into a store let alone garner a healthy base.

I said I'd do it, and I'm sticking to it until we can stream smash... or I'll result to pirating all that crap from Nintendo, making sure they don't make a nickel.

This is Melee's ONE CHANCE to get Smash BACK INTO THE FIGHTING GAME COMMUNITY FOR GOOD and Nintendo IS BLOWING IT FOR US COMPETITIVE PLAYERS!!!! THIS IS POSSIBLY MELEE'S LAST CHANCE TO MAKE IT BIG COMPETITIVE!!!

After this, if we lose, which Competitive Melee seems destined to do, the Fighting Game community, as well as probably ALL OF THE COMPETITIVE GAMING COMMUNITY (MLG [again] included) will be forced to avoid Smash WiiU and 3DS competitively, avoid Brawl (again, like what happened with MLG), all of the mods for each smash game, as well as continuing to avoid Melee.

Literally, this could be the death of Smash Bros. competitive gaming livestreams and tournament livestreams, and it is sick and disgusting. I'd rather never play Smash WiiU and 3DS than have to deal with this stupid crap.

This was OUR MOMENT for US COMPETITIVE SMASHERS to put our product out there,
to prove we had a great community who would watch the livestreams,
and for us to prove that Melee Never Dies, and that hey, maybe Brawl and Project M, and Smash 64 deserve a bit of the spotlight in competitive gaming too.

But nah, Nintendo of America had to wreck this crap! They shot it all to hell! WELL TAH HELLLLLLL WITH THATTTT!!!!!

Used maybe, but not new. Nintendo ain't making a dime off me until this point is reversed. I can live with a PS4, PS3, and Xbox 360 until then. When I say I'm gonna do something, I'm gonna freaking do it. Nothing ever stops me when I put my mind to it... BECAUSE I AM THE GREAT ONE, SON!!!!

It's not even the matter of PW's multiplayer being better; in PW, multiplayer is a must. The game can technically be played through all alone, but at one point in the game, you pretty much need coop, because if not, it's nearly impossible and unfair.
Even if you're some wizard and manage to beat it by yourself, you still miss out on a lot of the experience because you never played coop.

That's why PW is my least favorite of the MGS games (other than Portable Ops). If it wasn't so multiplayer dependent, I would say it's just as good as MGS1, 2, 3, and 4.

Huh, that's strange. I don't really mind that so much in a game (although I wish games like that had it more of an option, just like how multiplayer and co-op works in either say Borderlands or say Left 4 Dead), but once the online goes down, oh man oh man, that sucks in Japan.

To be honest, it's an appropriate immediate reaction to what NoA did.
People have been looking forward to it and then Nintendo just rips the streams away.
I, for one, never cared about Evo before any of this (never payed attention to it, didn't know anything about it). But this is a bit infuriating.

You might be surprised at the possible implications behind this. This and the whole MLG thing pretty much says that they don't want the tournaments to be exposed yet they completely support Pokemon tournaments. In fact, I believe they just had a big one just recently.

Really, what does Nintendo gain from this, or more importantly, what would they have lost from letting the stream happening?

This is OUR LAST FREAKING CHANCE to get MELEE AT THE BIG SHOW (EVO!!!), AND NINTENDO KILLED IT!!!

Nintendo's WiiU is barely standing, and quite frankly, they just lost another customer until this is reversed. They are being anti-consumers, anti-gamers, and anti-their fans. I've spent well over a thousand dollars on Nintendo stuff; well, until this is reversed, NO FREAKING MORE!!!

Anyway, does this just affect the livestream? Or are they banning videos from being uploaded to Youtube afterwards as well?

Neither of these games will be as good as Melee, at least competitively, sorry.

And quite frankly, what's top stop Nintendo from banning Smash WiiU and 3DS videos on youtube, Smash WiiU and 3DS livestreams, and pretty much even this site=??? On top of that, I'm pretty sure this is illegal; they don't have the authority to do that; and if they do, it doesn't cover several nations.

Oh, and maybe this is just a gateway to Nintendo imposing DRM for used game, as well as ban, block, and prevent all forms of modding. Yeah, I bet you'd like that.

Stopping the MLG stream got Brawl kicked off the MLG scene, which did "cancel the damn matches all together" as you say. So yeah, there's that.

Maybe if you knew anything about what was being discussed, you would know that by now. But you don't, and yet you sit here calling us ignorant.

I really hope they don't pull this **** with future Smash streams. This is just heartbreaking.

If we don't stop this now, there may never be a smash stream or Nintendo game stream that isn't blocked in America without Nintendo ads... unless we legally defeat it.

We gotta stop this slippery slope for Nintendo now, before it gets worse, and it not just kills Melee's hopes of being a mainstay competitive fighting game tournament event, but save the smaller tournament livestream and casual youtube video uploads for this and all other smash bros. games as well!
