Dig-Dug and KOF98 (because Mexico) cabinets were always the ones with a line at the arcades when I was little. Also, Dig-Dug (and Galaga) seem to have a bit of a cult following here in Southern California. I'm aware DD is not a household name like Pac-Man but that's the other character I'd have to toss it to (or maybe Cervantes) since Namco's repertoire is limited in standout characters.

Also, I'll admit that I'm biased towards DD since I've been seeing him around for a while; though not very often.
See bold.

I lol'd, Automatic.

I like the classic design for Pac-Man the best. The one that they have for that new cartoon is ugly and creepy. Sadly, that is the design they will most likely use.
The one in that picture on the right looks fine to me. It also looks different than the new ugly ass Ghostly Adventures version.

Who knows. Pac-man might just have all of those retro games represented in his moves.

Well I'm not sure if anyone noticed this but I was looking at a few of the trailers and when the characters put up their sheild, it didn't seem to degenerate slowly at all like in brawl. Or at least extremely slowly. This could mean that characters can sit in shield longer.

So guys....

You think the leak was just told a bunch of new characters and not necessarily the ones shown at E3? Or just added his own characters to the leak?
THIS is the question I want answered. I say we find the source of the leak and go House Bolton on his ass until he gives us ALL the details.

Wasn't it more than one person that backed the leak though and one a very trusted member of another forum?

That's why I'm not so quick to dismiss it just yet.

If whoever else I want to appear in smash doesn't make it in I'm just going to imagine Villager murdered them on his way to Smash.

Wasn't the reveal of the brawl trailer at night? What time exactly was it shown? I wanna see if we still have a chance of getting any big news :estatic:

I don't know. I expected more than 3 newcomers. Maybe I'm remembering Brawl's reveal wrong, but I'm fairly sure we got more information than we've gotten here.

Most European users must have logged out already. Speaking of Europe, it's 3 AM here, so I'll be off very soon...

I just read the news about how the 3DS limitations are pushing the roster down, and I gotta say I'm quite disappointed.
I was one of those who defended the 3DS version when people complained about it, and now I see they were right.

Damn, Sakurai... You DON'T HAVE TO make the two games have identical rosters. It was obvious the 3DS wouldn't handle the same things the WiiU would, so you'd have to make a simpler roster for it.

Oh, man... I don't think I like where this is going...

Well, I guess DLC is the best way out of this problem...

...And I'll say it again, what exactly is this limitation? It's not memory or processing power that would prevent characters from entering. And why must the 3DS and Wii U have the same roster anyway?

All really good questions that I wish I could answer.
I would like to know these things too.

Because Sakurai. He's a mystery wrapped in an enigma, wrapped in a troll.

He never said the 3DS would limit the number of total characters, he said that they were having a hard time implementing certain characters because of the 3DS's limitations. He said that they were having a hard time programming fighters that used multiple fighters like the Ice Climbers. That being said, them, Sheik, ZSS, and the Pokemon Trainer might be cut if they can't figure it out by the time the game goes gold.

Personally, I never thought both games would have the same roster.
I thought it made sense that the 3DS one would have less characters.
Also, why does Sakurai want the same damn characters, but not the same damn stages!?
What if I want to play in Gerudo Valley on the WiiU version, Sakurai? What do I do then!?
You douchebag!

[i luv u tho]

What I don't understand is why this is shocking to people.

EDIT: What I also don't understand is how people use "characters that use multiple fighters like Ice Climbers" to refer to Sheilda, Pokémon Trainer, etc.
Ice Climbers fight with two people at once; the other examples do not.
