Hah, that's literally when I stopped too. Is Paper Wario even a thing?

The Xbox thing is really interesting... A fairly complicated system when all you want to do is lend your game to your friend. I'm kind of curious if multiple "family members" can play the game at once, like if you and your friends can just play off of one game online with each other.

I wouldn't too weirded out/sad if Miis got in, even if it's assumed that they're not tourney legal due to customization. I think it could be really fun to play my Mii versus my friends' (when we're all super drunk).

They mention something about a loaning or a renting feature amongst family members so it may be transfering game rights to people. so it might be one by one which sounds pretty dumb.

I think they mean 10 family members can be tied to one box where they can share use of that 1 game.

Was going to say Smash could use a boney character like Dry Bones, then I realized Ridley could pass as that simply with a white palette swap, but now I realize we could also have Dry Bowser as an alternate costume for Bowser.

Dry Bowser and Meta Ridley. How cool would that be.

I also really hope that the E3 trailer shows alternate costumes so I don't end up feel like an idiot for being so sure they'll introduce actual alternate costumes this time.

... it'd be so easy for the game-makers to implement, the only reason I think they might not do it is if they can't think of alts for some characters so they decide to nix the whole idea since it'd seem unfair to those funny-shaped characters.

Edit: "Those" in this case means Dry Bowser and Meta Ridley, not the other devilry that's going on in this thread. :p

Really hope that's not why they haven't done alt costumes before. If you can't reference something for that character, just make something up. Have a futuristic R.O.B. or something. Would actually like if each character had a "joke" costume that didn't necessarily fit them or reference their history.

Could revolve event matches around them. JUST HAVE FUN WITH EVERY IDEA.

Well, Wario was the only character in Brawl (and in Smash history) to have two costumes with full sets of colors. Smash 4 may very well expand on this idea.

Of course, we shouldn't take it as granted, but it's a likely possibility anyway.

I do think that event match scenarios could seriously benefit from alternate costumes both as a way to unlock them in the first place and to add some more flavor. The Dark Link event match would've been much more fun if I knew I was about to unlock a new costume for beating it! :)

Wario's alt makes me kind of sad... it's like the developers wanted to demonstrate that they could put in alternate costumes if they felt like it, but they just decided to instead invest in hundreds of stickers. Jerrrrkkkks. Pretty much every other prominent fighting series has introduced alternate costumes.

Even if the costumes aren't always that great...

I don't know how you guys sat through that entire video, damn that was awful. Could use a bit more Mario characters though if I'm to be honest.

I tend to not use either stupid or idiotic if I'm being serious, or at least I try not to. Not out of "respect", but because if I am being strict, those terms don't make a lot of sense to me.

I'm pretty sure it was just because Wario is the only character with such radically different games with different designs in them that attract different kinds of fans

I THINK HE LOOKS PRETTY COOL AS A HAMMER. Though the Pokemon of my dreams would have an anvil for a head and a hammer for a tail. So maybe that has something to do with it.
