Nice to see confirmation from Sakurai himself that we will see the trailer on Tuesday. I guess the debbie downers who were trying to say that we'd have to wait for the trailer can take solace in that none of us will have to wait longer than expected. Sakurai being at E3 spells good things; and that means we'll have a lot of interviews to pull from for random talking points.

No, that's normal. My girlfriend is almost 25, she just bought a 3DS and was asking me what games she should get for it, and I told her the new Animal Crossing and that you are the town mayor in that, and she freaked the hell out.

The funny part is she didn't even like Animal Crossing until I mentioned she could be the town mayor, and she still doesn't know what you can do as mayor! She's probably off playing White 2 (racist). She already told me she picked the Gen V Fire Starter (again; she got it in White 1 [racist]; she really likes pigs), and she named it and all of its' offspring after cute pig noises, because apparently she finds that adorable. Embarrass

Konami's big announcement at e3 was Kiefer Sutherland is voicing big boss snake.

In just MGS5 though. I don't get why they just don't get the guy who voice Big Boss in MGS4.

Fair point. He does seem actually excited this time around. I really hope he wants to unleash a huge roster, just to outdo Brawl entirely.

Yeah, Sakurai is hyped. He's probably got tons of secrets rolled up in his sleeves, two great consoles to make these games on (the 3DS is probably almost as powerful as the Wii, lol!), a legit developer at the helm, and a seriously awesome online infrastructure. This is going to be two MONSTER GOOD GAMES!!!

Actual fighting is far more entertaining and bloody.
Boxing is boring to me because literally ALL you have to do is break their knee, and they're done. They don't even lift their legs! Hell, you could gouge there eyes, and kick them in the chest. They don't even use their elbows! All you have to do is get inside and start hammering them, even a takedown! Come on, over 15,000 pounds of force from one drop on the spine.
Oh, did you know '1984' was published 64 years ago today?
Did you also know that Verizon got ordered by the NSA to hand over their phone data?
Did you know that the NSA has insane sweeping powers to take away our rights to privacy?

You can tell I don't like 'fighting' sports or authoritarianism at all.
Turning fighting into a sport disgraces "The Noble Science".
Authoritarian government is a crime against the natural laws.

I don't really see what Roy can add to the game except for another character. And to me a mix of strength and strategy (Marth and Ike) just doesn't seem worth a slot. Except for DLC.

Roy makes the most sense as DLC to me. The people who really want Roy are most likely going to buy the game whether he is in or not. Let another sword character from another series in over Roy. Advertise other series rather than Fire Emblem which already has representatives. My take on it anyway.

I was against Wolf and another FE rep before, but like Ike's and to some extent Wolf's playstyle. Except for those damn redundant specials.

Makes sense doesn't mean it wouldn't be boring

I REALLY don't expect Lucina, and I didn't like her character that much anyway.

Being from a recent title did get Ike noticed, but it was not the reason why Ike got in. Recentness means nothing if the character can't prove to be a worthwhile addition and recentness only indicates that they appeared a relatively short time ago.

Ike got in because Sakurai wanted another FE slot. Now that he stated the roster size has gotten near a maximum point, I think there are going to be limitations on who he includes. I just don't think Chrom's shot at making it is that great.

Anna would probably be da bess choice for any sort of long term representative. The sum of her roles is weighty enough to heft a high level of support, putting her at at the very least on par with Chrom/Rukina, and if not far higher.

To me, the argument of 'something is recent, therefore is more likely,' suffers from 'Post Hoc, Ergo Proctor Hoc' as well as having many stark similarities to something ridiculous like numerology.

Hey, Fatmanonice posted back here.

Lucario's probably going to be cut simply because they'll want to show off someone from Gen 6 (almost guaranteed to be Mewtwo at this point).

I highly doubt Lucario is going anywhere. There really isn't any reason why we can't have both Lucario and Mewtwo on the same roster; considering that eight characters (transformation included) is definitely achievable and that Lucario has been heavily marketed. As Mewtwo was planned to return in Brawl, Lucario was not intended to be Mewtwo's replacement.

I've always seen Wolf as someone who was reasonably expendable simply because his moveset doesn't really contribute anything to the overall roster. I'd rather see Krystal with a 100% original moveset but I have no qualms with Wolf sticking around.

Hardly a clone, considering that Wolf is only five moves away from being completely unique. It is very possible that with the trajectory of clones becoming more unique that he could end up with a completely unique move set next game. As for Krystal, she has a 50/50 shot but it'll be as the fourth Star Fox rep.

Snake's probably out the door simply because he kind of snuck into Brawl to begin with and Sakurai seemed to strongly suggest that Snake was always intended to be a "guest" and not a permanent addition to the roster.

Sadly, this is probably the case with Snake. It doesn't help that there isn't much Sakurai can do to make Snake's re-appearance as popular as last time, which would make Sakurai less inclined to have Snake returned.

The only character I would add is Ike. I'd hate to see him go and I believe that Fire Emblem deserves at least three reps but I could easily see him getting cut for Chrom or "Marth" simply to represent the latest game in the franchise.

I don't think Ike will be going anywhere this game, given that he was the lord of two games, was incredibly popular and that Roy was planned for Brawl (showing that Ike was not intended to replace Roy). Since three reps was planned in Brawl, there's no reason why we can't have Marth, Ike and Roy and/or Chrom in the next game (barring the unlikely case of time constraints).

I find it odd how the right is somehow associated with nationalism, or a police state. By every definition of the word, the Nazis, for example, were national socialist, that means there was no private ownership of goods or manufacturing or anything of the like, yet they're somehow considered right? I don't get it. The right is all about property rights, and the destruction of the modern 'state'. And to suggest pride in your nation is somehow right wing is even more ridiculous, or even militant things in general. Same thing goes for the 'fascists', they are central planning and subsidization up the guacamole.
