We're getting a new Wii U Mario, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros, as well as Smash 3DS.

Any of those 4 games being shown for the first time is worth an hour of "wasted time," easily,
Auto-blocking? You must have missed when I got heel kicked in the liver. :chuckle:
Spinning heel kicked in the liver. And it was ugly. Bas Rutten would have loved it.

Smooth Criminal waited to like that post until after I loaded it with innuendo, I want that to be known. Possibly, answered.

I think they're only using those characters for the silhouettes because we already know a fair amount about the games they're from. They don't want to spoil any big surprises.

At least I hope that's the reason.
I agree, that makes the most sense. I really doubt they would spend a lot of time talking about games like New Super Luigi U, Wonderful 101, and Pikmin 3. Nintendo has to know that would disappoint a lot of people and that is the last thing they want right now. They need to convince people to buy a Wii U instead of a PS4. I would also mention the Xbox One, but Microsoft already did the job of convincing us not to buy it themselves lol. Not to mention we had that Nintendo Direct a few weeks ago. They talked a lot about Pikmin 3 etc. here and I assumed they were doing that to just get it out of the way early so they wouldn't have to during E3

I'm just hoping that we get a few more Directs in addition to the ones already announced (June 11th, Pokemon X&Y), the possible line up Nintendo has this year is huge and there's no possible way they'll be able to fit them all into the most likely hour long June 11th Direct.
I have a feeling that Smash 4 won't be unveiled for that hour long Nintendo Direct on June 11. I think Smash 4 will be getting its own Nintendo Direct later that week. As Sakurai has said before, he is going to have us wait just a bit longer.

Sakurai: *laughs :troll:

Brawl was not unveiled at the same time as the rest of the Wii's lineup at E3 2006, so I am a bit skeptical as to whether Smash 4 will be there at the same time as the other software, especially considering there is a lot more to talk about in relation to Smash 4.

Its going to be amusing this thread's (and especially other places) reaction if Smash 4 is not shown during that Nintendo Direct.

It'll definitely be outrage and disappointment, but considering they said Smash Bros would be in the next Direct with 3D Mario and Kart, it'd be pretty understandable. Cuz that'd mean Nintendo pretty much lied to us. :p

I will not loose my head, it would not be the first time they show a trailer after the conference (Direct in this case).
It happened with Brawl too. We'll have our trailer for the 11th of June.

If Nintendo for god knows what reason don't show a trailer. There will be rage & weeping. Rage & weeping stronger than the Xbox One conference.
I still really want more info of SMT x Fire Emblem & X

More details concerning X would be a good idea.

That game has the potential to become a very big title that shows off the capabilities of the Wii U.

Bayonetta 2 and X better show up at E3 in some way, otherwise things are not exactly going to be that interesting. At least, in terms of already confirmed games. Super Smash Bros. is all fine and dandy, but it's kind of a predictable thing.

You mean want, we want those games.

One thing for sure is that the next Mario game and Mario Kart are just going to be the same rehashed garbage again. Not thrilling at all. I seriously hope you people don't get suckered into that.

I couldn't get into the last two Mario Karts very much for some reason, I'm really hoping this next one interests me. Also found that online I'd lose many races if I was aiming for first place because stuff would happen at the last second, be it a blue shell or something. I won more times hiding in wait in second place than in any other scenario. XD If I'm remembering correctly. Also really looking forward to the next Mario Party.
What!? seriously??? Mario Kart: Double Dash is by far the best Mario Kart game i have played. But i agree the Wii one was pretty boring.

Lol me too! And MK7 online makes it soo easy to see when the blue shell coming. Beacause you see all of your opponents items at the bottom of the screen, you'll see when some has the blue shell. And as soon as you see the blue shell start blinking. Everyone in the top 3 places are backing up in reverse. Lol!

TBH the last Mario Party game i have enjoyed was 3. These new ones are ridiculously random.

Mario Kart Wii was especially boring considering I expected something better or as good as Double Dash. I always go on about how that is the best when Mario Kart discussions come around, two karters and specialized items were fun concepts that just never came up again. Having the addition of motorcycles or whatever in the Wii one was surprisingly not very interesting, again especially in comparison.

Ah I completely forgot you could do that in that game. Might need to go try online sometime soon to see the chaos up in the front when someone gets a blue shell haha.

True, especially the last one. I still enjoy the randomness (for the most part, there are some games that can **** you over from start to finish) because it can be fun and give you a challenge where you otherwise wouldn't get if everything was even.

X is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my entire life...

How will it work on the 3ds? Everyone would just play on the separate screen - no 4 player smash on tv?!

How will Super Smash Bros. work on the 3DS? Well you can get the game ether digital or retail.

For the digital version, you need an internet connection. Go onto the eShop and look for Super Smash Bros. and click the purchase option. It will prompt you to complete the order, then once you do so the game will start downloading onto your SD card. Keep in mind that retail games are more expensive and can take up more space then an typical eShop title. Once the download is complete, you should see the icon for the game on the menu. Click on it, and you'll be able to play Super Smash Bros.

For the retail version, all you have to do is purchase the physical copy and insert the game card into the back of your 3DS. Then click on the icon on the menu to play the game.

I actually liked the Wii and 3DS ones. I just hated the constant hacking that seems to plague the online for both. Yes, because it's completely not obvious that you're cheating when you fall off the stage, instantly get back on, and have a Starman that never fades...

The only Mario Kart I really didn't like was Super Circuit, which a friend of mine let me try out.

Oh and just for the record, enjoy downloading the game digitally. They'll screw up shipping the retail copies and you'll be forced to download the game for about a week or so.

Hm... I feel odd. I enjoyed Mario Kart Wii the most. Probably because it was my first game that I really got to play online. However, I really enjoyed the bikes, and I certainly felt like the game had a very strong track roster.

For the longest time Mario Kart 64 was my favorite, and was "unbeatable". But I really have to give it to Mario Kart Wii. In the end I had more fun with it. It's not that I didn't hate the item balancing, though, don't get me wrong.

And that makes for the only series in which I put the Wii version at number one. I can go even further and say the only series where I put the Wii version anywhere near number one. lol
