Those are basically private forums where only members of the group can read and post threads. (The reading part may be available to everyone if the group owner decides so.)

And yeah, you can go off-topic without problems.

If nothing else, maybe everyone can exchange Skypes and just have one big Skype session during the conference. I personally can't because I already promised a skype session with a friend, but it would be an easy way to get everyone's reactions.

I'd be up for it. I've already got Habanero on skype, if anyone else wants to add me, my account is the same as my username here, I think I also have it linked on this profile.

Also, whats wrong with bonding guys? I've already got friends from all over the world thanks to moving so much across 3 different continents, what's wrong with making a few more? Plus it gives me a good excuse to visit a new place, hell I've already promised some of you I'd (eventually) drop for a visit.

Well, Zero Suit Metroid could crawl in Samus: Zero Mission instead of Morph Ballin so.

It's like another set of threads by us that only the invited can enter. Basically its for those who are serious about discussing Smash, though there will also be more social areas so we can have what we have now, just without any influx of new users that may or may not give us a hard time.

Also I'm not too crazy on talking on Skype because the idea makes me nervous. Nothing against any of you. I'm much more awkward than the rest of you.

Here's the appeal. It's our safe haven from the inevitable **** storm. Most of us have known for months, if not, years, that an inevitable storm like that'll happen. I think it happened with Brawl too, so yeah.

Basically, it's our safe zone.

This is a good point, like I said I am actually going to be talking to my friend, but I could just type messages during the conference to you guys. My skype info is my actual name though and I don't feel comfortable just putting it out like this so I will just add you guys myself.

I'm not sure if I know what LOTR's is, but all I know is that they're as smart as Bowser's troops, and come more frequently than Zubats in caves. So REALLY BAD.

The 17 years of constant Repels have made Zubats immune through natural selection (or whatever the equivalent is for Pokemon). THEY CAN'T BE STOPPED.

i made a test to see how these new threads in groups work as everything changed... when the fire nation attacked.

if you were an alumni of this social forum, you should be able to see it and my test thread. if you haven't been invited in the past, you shouldn't be able to post let alone see any threads.

Didn't even notice that the Social Groups were up. Won't start inviting people until later though, as I don't want people to start making all these new threads (Augusto's test thread doesn't count) so we don't get any accidental duplicate threads. There's also no threads to post on at the moment anyway. I also need to play around with some of the old/new features first.

I think for Skype, we should do like we did last year where it was mic and chat. I'd prefer this since for some reason, I can't reliably do video calls.
