It is very plausible this place has been seen because surely the internet has been researched to some extent. If you were developing a game that is hugely discussed and popular, would you not want to research what people are saying online? Smashboards is a pretty formidable collection of fans even relative to most other places. Not to inflate some grandiose sense of importance to everyone here, but it would not surprise me one bit that, all of this being said, they are aware of the existence of this place and the trends present.

But I will say that what the fans say is not the end all decision, as proven by the more out there ideas thrown around in the games themselves. Sakurai himself has stated that going solely by what is popular is boring, which is why he probably approves unorthodox options and risking criticism because of it.

Yeah, same. INFJ, though. All the same, I guess finding and evaluating rumors is all part of playing the hype game. It's kind of fun thinking about the (un)likelihood of all these silly things. I do think I'd be unhappy if we actually got a confirmed leak... like, if someone ninja'd a copy of the game and looked through the files and revealed all the unlocks it'd really hurt the hype for me.

Well not giving mind to rumors, which haven't even been remotely decent, isn't the same as not becoming excited for a certain idea. You can be hype for an unlikely idea or a likely one but it's not the same as experiencing said idea yourself; hence my lack of excitement.

I'll be exited for Tharja (lol) or Dark Pit (eeeeew) once I can play as them.

Another EDIT: I guess Isaac and Ridley can get me hyped. I've been wanting those two in this series for a while.

In my opinion, the execution is a much great factor then the concept. A concept is merely an idea, while the execution takes that idea and uses it. The execution can make all of the difference in the world whether something works or not. A good execution can easily win over hearts, while a bad one will leave a bad taste.

None of the recent SSB4 rumors have been very believable anyway. Whether it was the Tharja one, the Dark Pit one, or the Goku one. Or any others than I'm forgetting. I expected more from you, internet. Oh well, we still have like 10 days for an actually possible-sounding one to show up.

Sakurai 100% stated that, and yes, it does prove it false. And for the record, Sakurai rarely changes his mind... except on who to upset next!!!

Also, nay to exchanging Skype names - those usually include first names and part of the appeal and typical sort of interaction that the internet provides is being able to have your own moniker and at most a face to go with it, real or represented by an avatar. Last E3 I happened to find a sort of videochat hub where you just needed your webcam and you could see everyone's faces and hear their reactions afterward. It was fun.

I remember some guy going: "So Ubisoft just won E3. 'Hey we are the cute French publisher with games for all the fami- PSYCHE, HAVE SOME NIPPLES AND DRUG-INDUCED FPS, SUCKERS!'"

Well, you weren't there with me, n, Iblis, Kuma, etc. We didn't do webcams (just mics; they found out I'm in my 20's, not 15 like some of them thought [KUMA!!!]) and it 'twas fun!!!
