Fusing with me makes you a Bomb-Toting Bro. Pretty cool, if you ask me. WARNING: MAY CAUSE BRIEF BOUTS OF PYROMANIA. :chuckle: :awesome: :kirby:

The one thing that makes this amusing to me is that, while the parent has the face of a Slowbro, you have the normal child looking up from the pouch like, "What the ****?!"

I bet this was the average Nintendo fan's reaction to Eternal Darkness upon the first playthrough: "When did Nintendo published video games get so violent and scary?"
Well, I'm not sure on violence, but I think Pikmin is pretty depressing/scary.

The first Pikmin: Olimar crash lands on a planet and must get missing parts to fix up his ship, etc, etc. The outcome, though, is very destructive on the perfectly balanced ecology before Olimar crash landed. I know Pikmin are sacrificed for Olimar's own benefit, in this case his life. I can understand that a little. But why is the final part a piggy-bank? Do I really need to sacrifice more living creatures for my own greed?

Pikmin 2: Olimar returns back to the Pikmin planet because it turns out that the treasures there are worth a lot. So yeah, collecting treasures just for his company's own benefit. I felt even more guilty than in the first game. What are the morals here? That the strong can sacrifice the weak for there own selfish needs? That the powerful leaders (Captions) can take control of weaker societies (Pikmin)? (Whether Pikmin have a conscious or not is debatable, but I'd rather not go into it).

And it is hinted that the Pikmin planet is Earth. If true, what happened to the humans? Perhaps we didn't see them? Or something else must have happened...

Some food for thought about the songs Ai no Uta and Namida ga Afureta. Some parts of the lyrics:

Ai no Uta (a song about the Pikmin's feelings towards Olimar)

In this planet where many things live
Today we'll carry, fight, multiply and be eaten again
Uprooted, gathered and blown away

But we won't ask you to love us

Namida ga Afureta (a song about Olimar's feelings towards the Pikmin)

I can come up with complex words
But I don't think that I can even say simple ones

I let out a sigh
I let out a sigh
And I didn't say that I loved you

I'm sorry

Pikmin 3: The captain's home planet is starving, as there is a food shortage. Go to the Pikmin planet to harvest fruit and seeds to bring back to their home planet. I...I... I just don't know. I know I'm sensitive when it come to these things...But am I the only one who's heart sank when I heard Pikmin 3's story during that direct (hopefully there's more to that)?

Anyway, I apologize for this rant. But what's weird is that I had this Pikmin 3 related dream some time ago (before Pikmin 3 was confirmed actually). Don't know if I posted it already, but it was pretty interesting (so interesting that I actually wrote it in my journal):

The environment was this post-apocalyptic city. The captains used the Pikmin to help carry parts/scraps back to the ship. So they went into some torn-down buildings, underground sewers, and building vents to look for parts. And get this. The planet they were on was Olimar's home planet, Hocotate. Yeah, some how Hocotate got overthrown by some evil empire or whatever. The captains needed to fix the ship and get it running to escape the planet. Plot twist!
Um, anyway, I've made an evil Chansey army.

His tongue though is usually chopped off at the end. Sad. Lickitung is the best pokemon. That still remains true.

You know guys, I wonder who I would end up fusing with=???
Fusing with me gives you a pair of heels and fairy wings and a heart filled with rainbows.
WHO WANTS TO FUSE WITH ME?!?! :awesome:

It also gives you white hair because I'm obsessed with white hair.
Oh God.... I'd never fuse with you.
No one, because being the joke character that I am, I'd somehow become OP as fack by myself and either
A. Be the main characters ally, but never be noticed fighting (Kellam)
Or
B. Somehow give the main character a run for his money in a tournament and somehow survive being killed.
Seems like a legit plot device smash bro.

Has anyone noticed that disfunkshunal is back? Really missed having him around.
Wouldn't mind Toon Zelda if we get Tetra out of it. If we also got Takamaru and Dillon into the mix, along with R.O.B., I could finally figure out which is better. Pirates, samurais, cowboys (technically ranger), or robots.
Unfortunately, considering that Toon Sheik was planned; it's probably going to be that and we all know what that means...:urg:
SSB4 Rumor sounds something I wish would happen because we'd get to speculate on about the silhouettes... also trolling occurring on wrong guesses, hahah!
Considering that these are cartoon characters basically, the characters would be picked out pretty easily, so it'd be a bad idea.
Agreed. It also makes things more unpredictable. In series with one main character, you always know they are going to win. With multiple main characters and "good guy" groups/characters, who is going to win will be a mystery until the very end.
Speaking of which, that reminds me to start reading Games of Thrones on my iPad.
This. I think it will be the newly "presented" form of Mewtwo in Smash WiiU and 3DS, but his superior classic form will be his alternate look, just like with Wario. And yes, classic/Wario Land Wario is superior to Wario Ware Wario, regardless of what anyone says (Project M proves me right). :shades:
I don't think Mewtwo in his Eclaire Form will work with the original Mewtwo form as a costume. For one, Eclaire Mewtwo doesn't even have a tail. Either the original Mewtwo will show up and transform to the Eclaire Mewtwo or we're just getting Eclaire Mewtwo.
However, assuming we get Ridley and Mega Man in the Smash 4. What other big hype characters will there be for Smash 4? I mean there are basically no other third-party characters left for everyone to jump on board to support that have a realistic shot at getting in.

I think Sakurai has something big planned for us in E3 that basically no one has seen coming. I don't think any "shock" third-party characters could ever hope to make the same reaction as Snake did in E3 because we all now know third-party characters are fair game now.

Sakurai likes to get people talking, and I think Smash 4's unveil will have something in it that certainly does just that, whether it be a certain character or some sort of new gameplay feature/aspect.
King K. Rool and Mewtwo will be left that can end up being big hype characters for the game and to a lesser extent, Roy and Isaac (I expect Little Mac to be confirmed at E3).

I think that our Snake-like shock reveal is going to come out of the game play, that I am confident in. Sure we could go for a Digimon or an ineligible character for a shock reveal, but those will never happen. It's why I don't the shock character argument seriously for characters like Bayonetta.
Regarding to the situation regarding to project Nintendo has funded and published but doesn't own, there's the upcoming Sonic Lost World which is getting published by Nintendo in PAL areas and Australia. A surprising amount of Tecmo Taoi games were also kind of like that, like Samurai Warriors 3 and Ninja Gaiden III: Razor's Edge.

Also several Tales games like Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia were also published by Nintendo outside of Japan (though obviously for the versions on Nintendo consoles). Also for giggles, Mischief Makers and Illusion of Gaia were published by Nintendo outside of Japan.
Dragon Quest XI was also published by Nintendo.

Don't see how a code name actually suggested a literal Toon Sheik, especially considering there isn't a toon variant of Sheik at all. The closest thing to a toon variant of Sheik is, surprise, Tetra.

It's worth noting that the file names don't always correlate to the character's name. For example in Melee, several files for Roy are dubbed "fireemblem".

You don't see how a code name named after a character has a chance of being that character? Sure it would be unorthodox to have a character that didn't actually exist prior to Smash be included (well, that version of a character), but unless Tetra also would've been a Sheik clone (which... eh... not sure how likely that would've been) it being a literal "Toon Sheik" makes sense, as it would be much easier to implement another clone than a new original character. Could it have been Tetra? It's possible, but it's also definitely possible it could've been a Toon Sheik.

I know the show is very good and follows it near word for word at most of the times, but is it any good=??? How graphic is it=???
I don't think Mewtwo in his Eclaire Form will work with the original Mewtwo form as a costume. For one, Eclaire Mewtwo doesn't even have a tail. Either the original Mewtwo will show up and transform to the Eclaire Mewtwo or we're just getting Eclaire Mewtwo.
I still don't think that's an issue. For one, the tail could just be like perked up behind him and not do anything, and it's not like the tail is necessary for his moveset. After all, Mewtwo does nearly everything by using its' psychic powers, and Mewtwo is physically not a very powerful Pokémon by any means.
King K. Rool and Mewtwo will be left that can end up being big hype characters for the game and to a lesser extent, Roy and Isaac (I expect Little Mac to be confirmed at E3).
I think Isaac is a bit more a slightly shocking character, much like Meta Knight and Pit were (of course it wouldn't be as shocking as Zero Suit Samus). No one really expected them in a reveal trailer; we expected obvious choices like Lucario, Diddy, Dedede, Ike, and Wario (the latter whom of course was in that trailer).

And seriously, when any character is revealed, it still struck me as a "shock" (except for Wario, Diddy, and Dedede). The only characters comparable to that now are Mewtwo, K. Rool, and maybe Ridley. Everyone else will come as mild shock to most the audience. Well, except for Cloud with his fangirls/boys, who we all know won't be playable!

Well one thing for sure, a literal Toom Sheik would seem unorthodox considering the other characters are already established figures (except for arguably Mr. Game & Watch). So logically speaking from a common sense stand point, Tetra would make sense especially in the context of being paired up with Toon Zelda, who would of most likely been based on the same character from Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass. But again, who knows at this point. That Sakurai guy has a few loose screws at times.

On the bright side, at least there are only two possibilities with "toon_sheik", a literal Toon Sheik or Tetra. Pra_mai on the other hand is a *****.

Some of these fusions would go great with a caption.
Agreed.

You guys do realize "Toon Sheik" could have just been (Toon) Tetra with (most of or all of) Sheik's moveset, right=???

^^^ Paper Mario I still think is a great character idea, and if presented right, might even be a reveal character! :shades: (although I think he'd be best "served" as a surprised "WTF?" character that is unlockable, much like how Falco, Ganondorf, and ROB were treated)
Pra_mai on the other hand is a *****.
I would still love a Plusle and Minun (TAG!) team where one does more stun with its' moves (and thus more combos) and one does more knockback (and thus more KO's).

That with a brand new moveset where both Pokémon have the same moves (that behave differently) would be a perfect team... if you could switch between which one you control and which one the computer controls. But really, that could have the potential of being another epic twist on the (Ice Climbers) tag team concept in smash that doesn't limit characters or create potentially terribly unbalanced characters (see: everyone asking for Diddy/Dixie and Dixie/Kiddy; sorry folks, but as I love those characters, I think it would inevitably be broken and not fair to those characters to be limited to one character unless they were literally nearly the same [and no, Diddy and Dixie are not "nearly the same" with anything except their body composition and species).

You know, I just noticed... In the story or whatever, I'd be the guy who makes references a lot. I mean, in the past half hour, I've referenced Kirby 64, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and the Venustoise moment in the Pokemon anime. :chuckle:

It's possible, yeah, but personally I just have a hard time picturing a pirate like Tetra using an almost ninja-like moveset, it really doesn't fit her. After all pirates and ninjas as sworn enemies. :troll:
I suppose if Ganondorf can be a Falcon clone, this is definitely possible too.

I still think pra mai the random character select.
We already got a random button though, so that makes little sense. I think it was honestly some sort of experiment to "evolve" Pichu into Plusle and Minun that was abandoned early in development in favor of Roy and Mewtwo, and the idea of Pichu "evolving" was turned into part of Pikachu's persona.
