Psycho sees Fatman, and he's like "nah dude, like this" and reposts spoilers for all to see.

Psycho don't care.

Why do Pokemon that don't need Mega Evos get them? What about Farfecth'd? Muk? Chatot? Even Pachirisu or Emolga. Really stupid how Gengar, Tyranitar and several other OU Pokemon get Megas.

Mega Manetric looks terrible >.>

Mega Houndoom looks cool though. I shall name him, Hell Hound.

Mega Manetric is the product of the development team witnessing a polygon error in an animation for Manetric's model and calling it a mega evolution.

Another Mega Evolution reveal. Yet another one of my favorite Pokemon gets one so I'm pretty happy at the moment.
That was the first Pokemon I thought of too when I first saw Mewtwo's X form because of the typing, thinking Xtwo will be a cool feller like that, and now that too gets a mega form! Nice.

And Mega Alakazam, dat beard... I had just shaved last night too which I don't normally do too often!

Mega Houndoom is bawss... I was thinking of giving it that nickname too, SmashShadow. Another case of great minds thinking alike. Then again, what other nickname is there to give such a thing?

As for Muk and kum... really guys? That one's as old as Ekans/snake and Arbok/kobra, literally.

@ Wave: Definitely Gandalf out of those three examples.

So, is it safe to say that the Gen VI new and Mega Pokemon designs are much better than Gen V's?
I dunno, Gen 5 had a pretty good batch of Pokemon. Gen 6 has some good ones too, but considering how few new Pokemon there are I don't think you could put it above Gen 5. Not really sure where I would rank it though.

I agree about Gen V introducing some token Pokemon such as Cofagrigus, Zoroark, and Haxorus. But most of what I look at I see Vanillites and Trubbishes in the mix. I mean, just compare most to other Gens! Not that big of a deal though.

I might actually consider buying X or Y later on. Game Freak and Nintendo are really trying some new things! Not until I get Fire Emblem: Awakening off my plate though.

If you just ignore the Vannilite and Trubbish lines than you will certainly see quite a lot of gems that Gen 5 introduced. In my opinion at least. My personal favourites are the Zoroark, Galvantula, Chandelure, Serperior, Zebstrika and Krookodile lines. (And a couple more)

Ah, Gavantula. Evolved from my first shiny, Joltik.

So, I have a friend in the UK who had his copy of Pokemon Y shipped 2 days before launch. What a lucky smuck he is. Last update from him and his Froakie already evolved.

As far as I'm concerned Gen IV will always be my least favourite. It's gonna take quite a bad gen to overtake them. Personally I'm not wild about either this gen or gen V though, but I'd probably give this one the edge atm because some of the Mega Evolutions are cool, and even though I dislike the starters, the lack of legendaries is nice. Though I'm sure we'll get more eventually. Nintendo can't pass that up.
Oh, and the new type is neat, but none of the current Fairy types do anything for me. Except for Floette who is adorable. :awesome:

I doubt my rose-tinted glasses will ever come off. :smirk:

Though when they start going overboard with the legendaries, it'll likely be

Still possible we could get some Super Smash Bros news. NYCC is going on right now, and if I remember correctly, they are having a panel for X/Y. I know one is happening for A Link Between Worlds soon.

^ Maybe there was something X & Y related that Nintendo wanted to reveal before it was ready to be shown in Smash (leaks aside).

I'm going to try Monday to see if Sakurai has something new for us but I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe. The official Nintendo store in New York City is having a huge launch party starting at 8PM so something might come of that.
