I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how Toon Link's sword glows. It looks like it is true Master Sword with the unlocked powers at the end of the game. I love awesome small details like that!

Obviously the purple is Ridley being squished like a tiny tiny sparrow between man's thighs by the force and might of two heroes swords clashing together.

Another instance of Sakurai purposely hyping up Ridley for his reveal...

...hopefully on March 19th, 2014 (the 20th anniversary of the release of the all-time great classic, Super Metroid, on the Super Famicom in Japan).

The effects are purple because DK was disguised as Ridley and the two Links just destroyed the disguise so they could stop DK from fooling the Smash community.

Yeah, but that was a boring month. And honestly, I didn't totally buy into that, especially after the filler Dojo update.

This coming month we got Wii Fit U, X & Y, and Sonic: Lost World coming out.

We could potentially get a new stage and 2 new characters confirmed.

Unless we got a character announced early from those, why would we get a noticeable update from this=???

It's nice to see some rational fans when it comes to speculation. Kudos for acting like a good person.

Also, Toon Link has so far been shown with Link, Donkey Kong, Mario, Peach, Luigi, Kirby, and Pikachu. Interesting. I hope we get some images of him VS'ing the others soon. He should be shown feeding a bomb to Bowser.

We used to see him a lot. A little too often in fact.

I think Sakurai will usually be showing off pictures of the most recently revealed veteran for a while, a few per week, before he pretty much stops taking pics of them (at least for a while) a little while prior to the next veteran reveal. That's what he's been doing with the other veterans we've seen thus far.

Nah, I don't see it as much about "shoving Ridley down their throats" so much as "shoving logic down their stupidity filled throats."

The amount of character speculation hipsters who think they know it all because they used to visit GameFAQs is preposterous.
