Snake being cut isn't as big of a deal. The other is a huge NO in every way.

Jigglypuff is the most important character to Smash outside of Pikachu. No.

Marth is the original Fire Emblem character. That's like cutting Mario or Adult Link(or even Samus, or Pikachu, or... let's just say I could go on, okay?). Again, no.

Add another row to fix these issues. And we're going to have at least 3 Third Parties anyway, so add another.(Snake, Simon Belmont, Pac-Man, whatever. Not picky in this case)
(It's a wishlist roster)
My actual prediction is a lot different.

Ok, I've done it. I got Super Metroid!

Also, rosters:
[collapse=What I think is most likely]

(Minus Rayman, who's a personal choice) [/collapse]
[collapse=Never gonna happen ever]

[/collapse]
For your first one, Waluigi should be switched with Yoshi's exact spot. He's a pure Mario character, not a Wario character. No issues otherwise whatsoever with the roster. It's good. I'd prefer some slight changes, though. Like Wario or Yoshi getting a rep instead of the pure Mario series getting two new reps. I'd also go with the newest Young Link(otherwise known as Classic Link) with Toon Ganondorf instead.(personal preference) F-Zero should get a new character, and Isaac honestly should finally get in by now. Also, Medusa over Palutena. The former is a villain. They need more love.

Second one is funny, I admit. But remember, Waluigi is explicitly a Mario character and has nothing to do with Wario's games at all. While he's connected to Wario, that means absolutely zip.

I'm fine without Snake, but I wouldn't mind him returning either.

I honestly don't care about other possible third party choices, so long as we have Megaman and Sonic stays. (the exception is if we end up getting Wreck-It Ralph)

Ralph was first playable in a video game, so I'm fine with him too.(Sakurai was quite vague on the video game requirement for third parties. Plus, he's a fourth party, so...) We don't know if he could or could not viable. I do believe his words were debut, and technically, he did debut in the a video game. Before the movie released, he was playable in a demo, which is still a full game.(unfinished games do get released all the time, even if they're essentially demos) Basically, I'm saying that his wording is so vague that Ralph may or may not be possible. Yes, I am leaning towards "not happening", but I know his chances are 100% depending how Sakurai views that particular special situation.

Snake isn't as big of a deal simply because he isn't a huge Nintendo-orientated character like Sonic is now and the reason he was in simply for Kojima's kid to play as him. That time has passed, so him being switched out doesn't bother me that much. If you're wondering, I would prefer him over a Belmont, but I don't cry tears over him if he's gone. Now, I would have a bigger issue with a Shiek, Lucas, Jigglypuff, or Zero Suit Samus cut. They're actually an important character to Nintendo and Smash in general.

In the second one. Though I only put him in to fill space, since I'd rather not see him in.
I don't mean to be rude, but did you see the "boxing ring" in the trailer? Similarities between the one in "Punch out" (the wii one, I believe) and the one in the trailer make them almost the same thing.

Yes, but keep in mind it's not confirmed as a Punch Out stage. It has similarities, but has a Smash Logo, so it could be anything at this point. It could be a generic ring for all we know.

It does not confirm Punch Out representation through stage.(yet or at all) It does not confirm or legitimately hint towards Little Mac since the stage is still a cross between generic and possibly being PO related.

Basically, there's no proof either way.

Also, I know there's been a lot of Miiverse updates with the Boxing Ring stage. Has anything about Punch Out ever been mentioned about it?

I wouldn't mind cutting both Snake and Sonic in favor of Simon Belmont and Pac-Man... what? Pac-Man can roll and spin like Sonic does. :troll:

Remember, neither of us is Sakurai, so all your Waluigi not being a Wario rep talk means zip. Personally, I feel Waluigi is to Wario what Luigi is to Mario, which is why I see him as a Wario rep, and why I even included him in the first place. Without Wario, there's really no point in Waluigi anyway.

No idea who else could rep Yoshi besides Birdo, but I'd rather not deal with "But she/he's a pure Mario character!" Toad is also my only choice for a Mario rep.

As for Classic Link, I never liked the idea of two characters with different "forms", there should be one Link honestly, but I kept Toon Link since I wanted to make this with absolutely no cuts. And my only other choice (Skull Kid) isn't really all that likely... I really hope they don't replace Ganondorf with his "toon" form either, that would be like getting rid of the main Link and leaving just Toon Link, just give Ganondorf his bloody sword and an energy sphere special for ****'s sake Sakurai.

I don't know much about F-Zero, and I'm completely fine with the Captain flying solo, he seems like the strong independent type who don't need no man.
I do have Isaac in my second roster, along with Shulk and Saki. I don't know a damned thing about any of these three either.

Medusa has kind of gotten drowned out in Uprising, Palutena has gotten so much personality in that game as well, I'd be surprised if Sakurai didn't give the series a second rep, and Palutena seems like the best choice imo. The "more villains" argument has as much worth as the "more females" argument to me.

Personally I'd be the most upset about Jiggs being cut. Smash wouldn't feel the same without her, at least to me. And with her species being a fairy type now and all, I have my hopes up for some new potential moves, (or at least a Final Smash) but I'll be fine if she's the same. I'm a Jigglypuff main in both Melee and Brawl, though she's not my primary main.

I don't see why ZSS would be cut, she's Samus out of her suit with a completely different moveset. Sheik I can see going and replaced with Impa, but I personally won't care much either way.

Lucas I wouldn't know about, I'm not very familiar with Earthbound/Mother.

Is that the reason Mario is in the game? To bring a character back from the past?

I doubt they would put in the arena that looks like a boxing ring without Little Mac. I doubt it is a generic Smash stage, because then I think we would see a 3DS version of it too, but I could be wrong.

I meant strongest lord in the sense as best as an unit.

You really like to start fights with people, huh. I have better things to do than to get into a nonstop slapfight with you.

The point is that Chrom has a lot of similarities with Ike, and that the characters give off similar vibes. Habanero, if he has the time can articulate this to you.

Have a good night.
What is your deal? All I have been doing is questioning the logic and giving counterpoints to your claims.

So what, am I not allowed to even do that without you getting pissy at me?

Without Wario, there's really no point in Waluigi anyway.
When has Waluigi ever been in a Wario game? Never. He can't be a Wario rep, end of story. It just doesn't work that way no matter what.

No idea who else could rep Yoshi besides Birdo, but I'd rather not deal with "But she/he's a pure Mario character!" Toad is also my only choice for a Mario rep.
Too bad you added two regardless of fanon. And you forgot Kamek, Shy Guy, and Baby Bowser for possible Yoshi reps. They're all notable from his series.

As for Classic Link, I never liked the idea of two characters with different "forms", there should be one Link honestly, but I kept Toon Link since I wanted to make this with absolutely no cuts. And my only other choice (Skull Kid) isn't really all that likely... ...So why is Toon Link and Sheik in there? And I guess Zero Suit Samus wasn't removed, right? Yeah, this doesn't make sense. Toon Ganondorf is Ganondorf's more notable incarnation, where he is more than a lame death-to-all villain. He has personality, and he's the latest version thus far to be released. Of course, I do get that Sakurai may do the same to Zelda, Sheik, and Ganondorf as he did to Link. So this is forgivable.

I don't know much about F-Zero, and I'm completely fine with the Captain flying solo, he seems like the strong independent type who don't need no man.
I do have Isaac in my second roster, along with Shulk and Saki. I don't know a damned thing about any of these three either.
Isaac should be in the first as well. He's pretty notable and a swordsman that isn't all swords. He also never uses magic either anyway. Just psychic-elemental powers. But eh. As for F-Zero, there's Black Doom, Pico, Samurai Goroh, and Jody Summers for most notable characters.

More villains means a more rounded out roster, actually. It means the heroes have actual rivals/opponents besides more heroes. 64 lacked any Villains, and that wasn't cool.(Mewtwo, Bowser, and Wolf were all planned for 64. They're all considered villains for the most part.) The bosses were all we got, and you could argue Giant DK was based upon Cranky Kong, who is a villain. Master Hand is kind of Neutral in the series, like Mewtwo is, but eh. Metal Mario was just an odd clone showing off how much Super Mario 64 rocked.

Also, PsychoIncarnate beat me to what I could've replied to, Salty. Again, there is absolutely jack for proof over a what is an unknown series stage.

Here's my personal Sm4sh roster because why not.

Just some notes:
-Sheik is still a part of Zelda, same with Zero Suit Samus and Samus
-Dark Samus is not a clone of Samus
-Dark Pit uses weapons from Uprising, but not the same as Pit (Unique yaay)
-Toon Link is slightly decloned
-Hoenn Trainer uses Mudkip, Grovyle, and Blaziken
-Marth is cut, deal with it.
-Jigglypuff is cut, deal with it.
-Sonic and Megaman are the only third parties. Snake is cut, deal with it.

Cuts:
Jigglypuff
Marth
Snake

Newcomers:
Paper Mario
King K. Rool
Villager
Mr. Resetti
Dark Samus
Ridley
Palutena
Dark Pit
Lucina
Ephraim
Isaac
Dillon
Hoenn Trainer
Little Mac
Mach Rider
Megaman
Wii Fit Trainer
(Damn this list is long)
Why on earth would you want to cut anyone on a wishlist roster?

He's from the past, and they brought him back. Done? Yes. With his newer game, this shows Nintendo at least did not forget about him.
His newer game came out two or three years ago.

By bringing back a character from the past, I'm pretty sure Sakurai means a retro character like G&W, the Ice Climbers, ROB, and (at the time) Pit.

So have you guys already talked about the Platinum Game message about tomorrow's Nintendo Direct?

Sooo... What could it be?

EDIT: Silly me, forgot the most important part:
It would surprise me if another character gets confirmed tommorow, poor weegee :p

I doubt they'd do that tho, if they were (which is a big if) it probably be wonder red, i'd flip out if it was bayo cuz I don't expect her at all to be a smash type character...

Think before you post. No sir, you do not make any sense. Mario is a major character of Nintendo.
Mario is a classic from the NES, he's had games come out recently

Little Mac is a classic from the NES, he's had games come out recently

Lil'mac still can represent Nintendo's retro era even though he has a new game.

Sheik getting cut isn't really happening either. Impa getting a new slot is possible, but so is Tingle.(and Tingle's still more important as a whole)

Lucas is the protagonist of Mother 3 and has no reason to be cut. I listed extremely important SSB characters earlier that have no legitimate chance to ever leave now.(once Sakurai didn't bother with the SS only for Link, he pretty much said "screw the latest designs for Zelda, let's have some fun with this", and thus, any chance for Sheik being gone because she's not in SS became null and void)

It's a fight between Tingle and Impa for a fifth slot, and while Impa would probably be a legitimately better choice, Sakurai's decisions to never mention Impa in Smash at all and constantly give Tingle things does suggest he probably would pick him first.

Yep, I answered my question that Mario was put in the game because they want to bring characters back from the past
No, Lil'mac will be put in the game because he represents Nintendo's past, he is a character that can have a move-pool made easily for him, and is 1st party character. If you forgot, Nintendo wanted to make the focus on their companies' characters rather than too many 3rd companies. There.

Welcome to Smashboards.

Surprised that you have Rayman as a thrid-party. I'd like Rayman content in Smash, mainly from Rayman and 2, but I don't think he's likely.

Well, Nintendo seemed too keen on promoting Punch-Out!! lately...

- Little Mac was a NPC in Captain Rainbow where he said he wanted to lose weight and get back into shape
- Punch-Out!! gets a new game for the Wii... a new game since 1994
- Punch-Out!! had a WiiWare game that was exclusive to Club Nintendo Platinum members in 2009
- NES Punch-Out!! was the first non-Ambassador NES game for 3DS eShop
- NES Punch-Out!! was one of the first NES games for Wii U Virtual Console

The term you're looking for is Wishlist. None of those cuts besides Snake is ever going to be realistic at all. Child Link will stay. R.O.B. saved Nintendo's butt and has zero reason to be cut. Lucario has no reason to leave anymore now that he's hyper relevant again(although this could happen, I guess.) Why would he cut Mr. Game & Watch at all? He reps his own series, meaning he's both unique and you're killing a series... to add Waluigi and Bowser Jr., Geno, and Paper Mairo, but still no Toad? O_o

I like some of the choices, but this can't be a prediction. Predictions have to have a legitimate chance of happening. You killed it with some super bad cuts that will never happen.(Snake and Lucario are the only ones with a ghost of a chance at best. And I wouldn't call them likely for being cut either)

@Salty: Little Mac is hardly a bad idea. But there is no confirmed Punch Out stage.(nothing is known about it other than having some elements from it but having a Smash Logo, which means it could be anything) There is no specific chance he could be playable beyond people thinking he could get in. But there is no proof or anything pointing to Little Mac. You're looking at nothing with the Boxing Ring stage. If it is confirmed to be a Punch Out stage, than yes, I agree, Little Mac might be in. But having a stage from a series is not a confirmation of that character. Just like seeing Toon Link on the Spirit Train does not de-confirm him. It just makes him look less likely and nothing more. In other words; You're reading too much into it.
