A, Toward tilt, Down Tilt, Up Tilt, Up Smash, Forward Aerial and maybe throwsIn Brawl: Other than Ganon's Side-B... What different move does he have from Captain Falcon?
I think 1 newcomer at least, 2 at the most.I sincerely doubt we'll get more than 1 newcomer by the end of the year.
Launching to the MOON!? Sounds like it's coming directly to me.Project M is actually launching to the moon soon, and it isn't coming back until the S.S. Anne returns to Kanto.
I had no idea why all these details slipped my mind, maybe it's because I'm so frustrated given that a character of Ganondorf's caliber is not given his own moveset... Meh, I'll go the Ismar way on this, I won't expect a genuine moveset on Ganon in Smash 4. Having hopes on this matter might lead to a frustrating destruction.A, Toward tilt, Down Tilt, Up Tilt, Up Smash, Forward Aerial and maybe throws
Maybe he'll wear Captain Falcon's helmet in the entrance animation... Just sayin'.Maybe this time, he'll unsheath it during his entrance animation, then realize he doesn't need it and throw it away.
I might as well get my hopes high for Toon Link since the one from Spirit Tracks (on the 3DS stage) is actually his grandson and I bet Zelda was his grandma/Toon Link's wife.DKC comes out in November bro, unlike Pokémahn (which comes out in October), and Wind Waker HD (which comes out in October everywhere but Japan, where it comes out in late September).
Huh... this is making me think that HD Toon Link will be either the next veteran revealed or the veteran revealed after the next veteran is revealed, which in and of itself is quite revealing of a reveal.
Nah, Sonic's reveal will be made into an "event," whether for Sonic: Lost World or for something else, and such an "event" is not limited to Sonic: Lost World. Plus Sonic is hands down the biggest smash bros. newcomer ever, so he's all but confirmed anyways IMO.
Excluding E3's revealed characters, Sakurai revealed 2 characters (Luigi and Olimar) in 2 months (If not more due to the chances of a revealed character in tomorrow's direct). We should receive 4 more character reveals before 2014 assuming we receive a character per month and there are 4 months left of 2013 (excluding what is left of August).I sincerely doubt we'll get more than 1 newcomer by the end of the year.

Yeah, The Wonderful 101 direct.Tomorrow's direct?
Oh, I thought it was only once a month. I'd be amazed if we got a double "character drop".The next Direct is Friday. It's gonna be WW101 focused
True, but we there might be a very slight possibility that we will be surprised with a newcomer reveal. The next Direct is Friday. It's gonna be WW101 focused
1 is what we're likely gonna get, unless there is some Nintendo World this year (which there should be, because the Wii U needs some hype around it).I think 1 newcomer at least, 2 at the most.
It is launching to a different Moon Mister Moon Man... one without Monkeys!Launching to the MOON!? Sounds like it's coming directly to me.
They don't call me Moon Monkey for nothing.
That up tilt needs to either needs to get a new animation and become the up smash or GTFO.A, Toward tilt, Down Tilt, Up Tilt, Up Smash, Forward Aerial and maybe throws
I doubt it, but who knows.True, but we there might be a very slight possibility that we will be surprised with a newcomer reveal.

Still, Nintendo ought to save the hype for later.

Just about any veteran reveal would create some sort of buzz. Pretty much any veteran (sans Melee cut characters and some characters like Lucario, Snake, and ROB) would make great reveals, specifically characters who are in franchises with new games coming out, specifically characters who are in those very games. If they DID reveal another character, it would need to be a very highly hyped character, maybe like Ness, Lucas or something around the veteran caliber.
SM3D World looks whatever.Seriously though, the Wii U needs momentum, I'm sure it will pick up when games start dropping.
I just don't think WW HD, WW101, and Pikmin 3 will do it. Maybe DK:TF and Super Mario 3d World.
yeah i'm not all to hyped for 3d world myself. I just looks like 3D Land HD with local co-op.SM3D World looks whatever.
I find even the WW remake to be more exciting.
That is why Nintendo is making Sakurai promote these games these ways.Seriously though, the Wii U needs momentum, I'm sure it will pick up when games start dropping.

I think the Energy Sphere sounds pretty cheap. I think a less powerful thunder-ball from OoT or something would be better.Changes to Ganondorf's MovesetSpecialsB Energy Sphere: Tosses an energy sphere. Startup lag similar to Falcon Punch. Can't be dodged. Ball occupies dodge space, although sidestepping or dodging will result in less knockback. Can be reflected with an attack. Grows bigger with each attack and requires a stronger attack to reflect each time. Only one sphere per Ganondorf on screen at a time.
Up B Warlock Levitation: Floats for a limited time. Press of A will cause him to come crashing down with a fist that causes a shockwave when it hits the ground.
Without Monkeys!?
To be honest, this IS Smashboards, not Nintendoboards.
Just checked the past fives pages of this thread and nobody mentioned this. Smashboards you disappoint me...
Yeah, well that is veterans. I was talking about newcomers. We're bound to get tons of veterans revealed, because we have only 11 confirmed out of 44 (45 counting Toon Link), all but at most (probably) 6 of which will be playable. Why not just reveal the (obvious) veterans first=???Excluding E3's revealed characters, Sakurai revealed 2 characters (Luigi and Olimar) in 2 months (If not more due to the chances of a revealed character in tomorrow's direct). We should receive 4 more character reveals before 2014 assuming we receive a character per month and there are 4 months left of 2013 (excluding what is left of August).
The lack of online in DK:TF and 3D World (Especially 3D World) is a damn shame. That is why Nintendo is making Sakurai promote these games these ways.
Also, Wind Waker H, the Wonderful 101, and Pikmin 3 won't make a huge impact; DKC and Super Mario World (wow, it's been like... 20 years since those two games were release together) will have that kind of impact, because they are huge name games.
Also, if Nintendo is smart, they ought to give both DKC and Super Mario 3D World online... but they probably won't, like what they failed to do with Pikmin 3.
Also, Mario Kart 8 might be the secret "killer app" for the console in the spring.
That's not a legitimate excuse... Or reason...To be honest, this IS Smashboards, not Nintendoboards.
Hey, when is the new Kart coming out, anyways? The lack of online in DK:TF and 3D World (Especially 3D World) is a damn shame.
The Wii U has a better online infrastructure than the Wii and the most Wii U owners get to do is screen cap pictures and share them on Miiverse.
Smash and Kart will defiantly be the systems hay-makers
Some people make exceptions. I guess you made an exception. That's not a legitimate excuse... Or reason...
2014...you know Nintendo and their launch windows.Hey, when is the new Kart coming out, anyways?
They know how to perfect games, but some times they forget things.2014...you know Nintendo and their launch windows.
Yeah, the lack of online is stupid, and I hope it bites Nintendo in the butt so they can learn from their mistakes already. Heck, I hope Pikmin 3 sales falter because of it. Online multiplayer is now a STANDARD FEATURE on ALMOST ALL MULTIPLAYERS!!! In fact, that has been the case FOR NEARLY A DECADE!!!The lack of online in DK:TF and 3D World (Especially 3D World) is a damn shame.

Geez, John, even a blind fanboy such as myself (as much as I'm sure I am) thinks and agrees with you that that's pretty stupid.I swear, all of this "stuck in the stone age" multiplayer without online, region-locking, and lack of leader boards is why I am glad I am no blind Nintendo fanboy.
I'm glad they made Link shorter, actually. He's never been that tall in his games, and this could potentially "eliminate" Link as a heavyweight, which was sorely needed.Luigi seems too big. He could pluck off Link's head with that giant hand.
All I care about is Samus' seemingly buffed Nair. Dat length man.I'm glad they made Link shorter, actually. He's never been that tall in his games, and this could potentially "eliminate" Link as a heavyweight, which was sorely needed.
Also, that side camera angle definitely makes Luigi look taller and wider than he actually is.
