It gets better. As of November of last year, the Trembley Bros., the creators of Swat Kats are working to do a revival. If they need to do a kickstarter, I'm donating.
I'd gladly pitch in a few dollars for the cause. Same goes for Gargoyles or Mighty Max, if they ever brought those shows back.

I started watching it on Boomerang, I made a T-Bone avatar and then everything fell in place. And, boy, would I put the theme as a victory theme.

Here's the AMA that was discussing it last year. I'm just happy they're wanting to revisit something that has a hell of a lot of potential.

Capps, you can be Commander Feral, who, as you may recall, was pretty much Papa Wolf for his niece.

Eh, SWAT Kats aren't CN property. The ":p" smile sucks lol
The show was made by the now defunct Hanna-Barbera studios while WB has distribution rights. TBS and Cartoon Network are both owned by Ted Turner. However, the creators do have the rights to make another show and whatnot, implying that they have the main IP rights to the concept itself.

Yes, I know that. But only original Cartoon Network characters could make it to the game (with Captain Planet being like a "third party"). They have the same chance to making it to the game as Bugs Bunny or Scooby Doo.

I know. And that sucks. >=P They should have allowed some Hanna Barbera characters... (as opposed to HIM and TWO Ben 10s)
Oh man don't make me remember the whole HIM and Travis issue in the groups x_x And yeah, plus the PowerPuff Girls should have been made into one character instead of taking time to make each one of them.

So, is this the "statements that make you feel old" hour?
Remember floppy discs?

Again, I don't think any of the Turner networks have any rights beyond the show. They'd have to ask permission for the Swat Kats to show up in the game. Likewise, I wouldn't be surprised if the same was for Bugs and Scooby.

That, and you had to take their audience in mind. Johnny Bravo and Captain Planet are practically retro to their audience.

Well the game is called specifically "CARTOON NETWORK blabla" so the game was made to show characters from tv shows that begun in Cartoon Network and are owned by them, so there was no need to any other Turner products. Captain Planet was the special case of the game.

*sheepishly raises his hand.*

Very well.

I still remember back in 2005 in my freshman year where I had a paper saved on a flash drive, yet I couldn't get it printed because all the computers were old. I got an F because I couldn't print out my paper. Funny thing is, the assignment stupidly involved us printing the paper at school for some profound reason.

remember when the wheel was made
Remember when you brought chopper backup?

"Profound reason?" Sounds like an oversight, imo. A really, really dumb one.

Ah Swat Cats, the manliest show I've ever watched on Cartoon Network in the past. This was one of the more enjoyable "third party" shows than Craptain Planet. It's the only show that makes cats badass.

ON a side note, I'm pissed about the fact that the next character (which is a PC Exclusive that was ironically released on the 4th of July) for Sonic & All Stars Transformed is a generic Russian general from Company of Heroes 2. *facepalm*

Not sure if you can call that an oversight. More like really huge gap in logic.

Also, I must put this on a Starfox stage:

Yeah, I remember I readed that that was because SEGA bought the rights to the game or something like that. At least we are getting a true DLC character later.

Sakura Taisen would be cool to include to. I mean, they threw in Ulala already.
This would be cool either for a Nazo stage or for a Lyn combo video.

Other shows that were too good to last were Dave the Barbarian and W.I.T.C.H.

The economy was better, meaning you could experiment with more weird ****. That, and this is Japan we're talking about. They'll be weird to us regardless of era.
