I will say that SEGA does have a rather colorful selection of IPs, it's just unfortunate that many of them were vastly overlooked by the popularity of Sonic the Hedgehog.

The economy was better, meaning you could experiment with more weird ****. That, and this is Japan we're talking about. They'll be weird to us regardless of era.
Not necessarily true, I mean, compare some of Nintendo's Japanese Kirby commercials to American Kirby commercials.

The Japanese Kirby's Dreamland 2 commercial.

And here's the one in the USA....

Sakura Taisen would be cool to include to. I mean, they threw in Ulala already.
This would be cool either for a Nazo stage or for a Lyn combo video.

Other shows that were too good to last were Dave the Barbarian and W.I.T.C.H.
Too bad they thought that Vyse and Skies of Arcadia was good enough for "steampunk" representation. As a matter of a fact, there were tons of characters that were reconfirmed or cut. Billy Hatcher was dropped due to designing issues, Virtual On characters were left out for "ownership issues" like Valkyria Chronicles, they couldn't use an extra model to make Aika, Orta was left out because of her dragon, Sackboy was too late since Sony would rather have him in his own game, Bayonetta has tons of issues because of her sexuality, Classic Sonic was left out due to not having a time travel reason, ect. Sometimes, I wish they can just collaborate with a bigger and more expensive team to work on these games.

I remember the baby one. Just, that it had a baby. I'm not re-watching whatever the baby does.

I do understand that some modern day VG commercials are still weird. (cough cough DS. Touching is good. cough)

Most of the weird ones were in the prievous century though, as far as I know.

Where did you got all of that information? I only knew of the Billy Hatcher thing. I'm sad Vyse, Joe and Gilius as a team aren't in Project X Zone.

I remember those big glass cubes used in early ads for Gamecube games.

The ads for Luigi's Mansion emphasize that you only had ONE NIGHT to find Mario, so I assumed that there was a time limit. (and I think there originally was, but they took it out in development)

I'd like the Luigi's Mansion stage from SSBB to return. If they add a Bowser's Castle stage, they should move the fortress and airship themes over there and fill in the empty slots with new Luigi's Mansion tracks.

There was going to be a time limit for Luigi's Mansion, and if you failed to beat the game in time, you would face a horrific game over, which was presumingly shown at the end of the first trailer.

Most of this was mentioned by SOL himself on the Sega Forums throughout the development phase of the game, while several of them were mentioned by him on Sonic Stadium and a Sega Radio interview.

Here's a few of the sources. http://www.radiosega.net/news/features/2012/08/radiosega-interview-steve-lycett/

Ah, I see, thanks! I only checked the Sega Forums after the game was released (I have an account for those forums with the same name but I think I only used it once :p)

Also, could anyone give me the link to that Luigi's Mansion commercial?

I'm pretty sure he's possessed...

Unless he thought drugs and facial surgery would help him get over his sadness.

We've already done gigantic stages. Let's do miniature stages. So small that everyone is scrambling to stay on from start to finish. There's just tons of potential there, amiright?

Tch. I know I have a ground breaking idea, I don't need any of you fools to validate it!
