EDIT in case you can't read what he's saying: Back in my day we didn't have "I have fury". all we had was "a winner is you!" You whippersnappers are all young punks with your "Japanimation" and your 3D adventure games, it makes me sick. You can take your fangled "DuDs" and shove em! Freaking future stuff; blah blah blah dribble dribble dribble.

DVDs, old timer. :p

Yo, let's try to liven up this discussion and help me out in the process.

What's the best tournament you've ever attended and why was it the best?

The only one I ever attended, because its the only one I've ever attended.

Nana confirmed for trap?

On that note, TWBB actually has a pretty solid answer for this whole 3DS/IC's issue. Skip to ~12:28

Are you implying you hate him less, or hate in the same amount but just in a different way?

Kinda late but...
In case you guys didn't get it the first time, it's my 19th birthday this day. :teeth:

As for tournaments, well, I've never been to one, although I'd really like to one day... who knows.

Would infinite PK thunders in the air really help? Anyone with a flexible projectile could still keep him at bay fairly easy.
Well in a less floaty game it would be a huge deal. Sure, you could still KO him in one strong strike a lot of the time, but chasing him off the stage would be impossible for all but a handful of characters.
I kinda want his yo-yo to be made into a tether. That won't fix much but it'll help.
I'm not even sure how that would work; a yo-yo tether recovery makes no sense. Now if Ness had like another recovery option, that would make sense (a new down/neutral B?).

Ness... Messed around more with him in Melee again, LOVING his gameplay for some reason. I almost feel crazy for going Pichu in the past now I'm having such a blast.

I want PK Teleport, PK Paralysis, PK Flash with shield breaker and OHKO effects, using his bat and yo-yo more for tilts and aerials, and PK Rockin for his Final Smash.

If everybody in the smash community got together and made a smash game (besides the few who actually have) it would be interesting to see how you all would balance everything.
ROB is automatic bottom tier, and there is a game mode called "beat the Impa" where the person who hurts Impa the most wins!

Other than that, Final Smashes can be a bar/meter as well as an item, the bumper has some awesome combos, stage hazards are on and off, and freaking the game gets 4 patches a year for 5 years to fix crap, along with a freaking 50 character roster (maybe plus 1 for the heck of it).
I don't think Ness learned PSI Paralysis.
Ness can't learn basically any of the PSI/PK moves he uses in Smash, lol.

^^^ But only PK Flash.

Rule 6 last summer.
-I was ON FIRE in the friendlies (at least for me; I wasn't about to beat Mango or anything), and beat guys I shouldn't beat.
-I had hunger Johns that beat me.
-I saw some awesome matches, including Bladewise putting in work, Lucky being Lucky, Shroomed going off on Mango, and ultimately, the story line of the tournament, Mango going into full zen Mango mode and just taking crap over and destroy everyone in his path through some of the most clutch performances I have seen on video, let alone live.
-I saw and played some of the most casual matches, and I "discovered" the most fun casual mode. You go Giant Melee, choose a character heavier than Peach (optionally), and play Brinstar (optionally also turn on Mushrooms on Very High). If you fall into the lava, chances are you are dead, and it is hilarious how slowly you "drown" in lava.
-These matches included Alan, Mango, Shroomed, SFAT, and tons of other lower skill level players (including myself) and they were freaking awesome.
-Peach got banned because Alan was clowning people with her because she is pretty much impossible to drown in the Brinstar lava.
-Oh, and I ran into a couple friends! :shades:
-My brother went too, and he had a great time. (he even kinda sorta accidentally mentioned Wombo Combo to Zhu, aka the guy who got Wombo Combo'd)
-Only cost $5 to enter (well, that was for my bro because I owed him) because I brought 2 TV's and 2 setups! :shades:

We're talking about world where electric mice battle against talking foxes with prosthetic legs on inside of a chat room where drawings spawn randomly

So much fun to look at smash like that, as I mentioned earlier, the game where a character forcefully electrocutes his own anus to propel himself onto a stage. Seriously, when you bring yourself back a bit smash is hilarious!

Yeah but a yo-yo wouldn't stick to an edge regardless, electric mice running around have nothing to do with that. :p

I just can't see it working. Unless it was specifically designed as such, there isn't anything that the yo-yo can grab with. The boys need some sort of different recovery. Someone thing I had in mind for Lucas was an additional version of PK Love where he can use the recoil as a recovery move.

PS. New avatar from a cartoon that might very well be getting a revival in the future - and boy could it use one.

Nope, I made a SWEET tether for Ness then!

The yo yo will only hold you for so long. Think about it, if you could somehow make a yo yo spin fast enough the friction would hold you for a short time. If it lands, you could jump again if needed, but it's have the possibility of having the "string cut" as well to make you fall, it'd be kinda cool.

I think if you time an Up Smash or Down Smash right after an Up or Down Smash before the yo-yo disappears, it will transition to the next attack. But it could only be looped like that once.

That sounds way too absurd yet the only reason that could work is because of Ness' PSI powers making the yo-yo spin very fast.

So chains in Smash. This has been something that I seriously think the series could benefit from.

Dude, theoretical physics can prove an elephant can hand by it's tail from a pin over the Grand Canyon. NESS PSI POWERS COULD BE EXPLAINED ON AN AMAZING YO YO!

Yeah lol we can start with that. Both his Dsmash and his Usmash should be cancelable. I'd like to cancel the first hit of his Dsmash into maybe a backwards short hop Nair->Uair maybe? Maybe also make his Usmash come out faster to give him a quick ranged attack and if it's cancelable the opponent won't have a chance to move in while it's completing the arc. I don't know I'm not a competitive player. I'd also just like him to have more yo-yo attacks in generals. It's such a unique weapon.
Are you proud of me yet, Kuma? =P

Yeah, but a yo-yo as a tether recovery weapon=???

I mean, the Home-Run Bat, a rope, or heck, the Eraser Pencil (aka a Pencil that erases giant erasers) would make more sense.

Alright, let's predict who will be the next character revealed for Smash 4. I think Marth will be revealed next.
